Full Moon in Scorpio: The Caterpillar Must Transform Into a Butterfly

Tomorrow (April 29th 2018) we are having a Full Moon in Scorpio! It's been a little bit more of an intense week and it's ending that way as well.

Full Moon's are always a time of harvest and letting go. With the Moon in Scorpio, the letting go theme sure is stronger though! The Full Moon is always comprised of the Sun and Moon in opposite signs. This Full Moon we have the Sun in Taurus and the Moon in Scorpio. With the Moon in Scorpio, transforming and letting things go is the biggest theme. Things can't always stay the same! Dealing with the Sun in Taurus opposite it though is a different energy. The Sun in Taurus can be stubborn, doesn't particularly like change, moves slowly and wants stability. Perhaps we need to find balance. Some things are good and can remain stable and other things have got to go and transform. Can you really have a stable happy life when you are hanging on to things that don't serve you or you don't allow yourself to change? No. On the surface your life may seem stable, but underneath the surface it may be super tumultuous.

The Sun and the Moon will be making good aspects to Saturn in Capricorn. This helps us get serious about the lives we are building. It works well with the stable Taurus energy. Adds some grounding. Yet, also works well with the Scorpio energy. It helps us know that if we're serious about the lives we're building, it's important to let things transform. It's also important for us to take authority in our lives and to be empowered. Saturn is retrograde, so it's important to remember to keep building what we have started since December. Anything that has not totally come to fruition we can work on now. It's important to let go and transform anything standing in the way of that however.

Both the Sun and the Moon are square the Nodes during the Full Moon. This urges us to let go of things preventing us from being our authentic selves and sharing that with others. The theme of being our authentic selves has been big lately. The lives we are creating and the selves we are sharing have got to be authentic. Dig deep in the depths with Scorpio and see what is holding you back. Is it negative thought patterns? A certain job? A relationship/relationships? A certain persona you've take on that isn't truly you? A bad habit? What ever isn't authentic to you that's holding you back is what it's time to let go of.

~This can be a very emotionally deep and intense Full Moon, but one that is transformative and perhaps an eye opener. We have to be serious about the lives we're creating and that includes continual transformation, so that we can come closer to our authentic selves and our authentic life, which is also the life that would make us the most happy. ~

Chiron in Aries

Chiron entered Aries a couple days ago! (April 17th 2018) This marks a big change as Chiron's entrance into Aries marks the end of both an 8 year cycle and a 50 year cycle. We're now starting a new Chiron cycle, not just in a new sign, but a new cycle around the zodiac. A new healing cycle for the collective is beginning. I do want to mention that Chiron due to a retrograde will revisit Pisces at the end of September of this year into February of next year. We will have a chance to revisit some Chiron in Pisces issues at that time. I guess we are getting our first taster of Chiron in Aries at this time! Then in February of 2019-2026 we will have Chiron in Aries to stay. (It will also retrograde back into Aries till 2027 as well.

Chiron is called the 'wounded healer' in Astrology. It urges us to heal our wounds and to become healers in our own rights. Chiron in mythology (pictured above) was a great teacher and even astrologer There's a bit of a debate as to what kind of planetary body Chiron actually is, but it's been referred to as an asteroid the most. I've heard astrologers call it a 'planetoid' as well, which is a term I like. To me Chiron is as important as the planets. It was discovered in 1977 and it's orbit is between that of Saturn and Uranus. It is the 'bridge' between the inner and outer planets. It is because of this that it brings higher consciousness to the physical world.

The sign placement Chiron is in shows us certain wounds we need to heal. When Chiron was in Pisces it was about healing our connection to spirit and the universe. To heal the 'void' inside of us. The part of ourselves that some people try to fill with substances or other addictions. We aren't quite finished with this energy as we will need to revisit it from the end of September to February of next year.

With Chiron in Aries, we go back to the beginning to heal. We need to heal our own selves. We will be healing our individuality, our identity, our independence and our egos. Everyone on this planet is being asked and pushed to heal themselves at the core of who they are as individual beings on earth. How can the world be a better place if people don't know who they truly are? If people have messed up and skewed identities? We must heal ourselves and step into our true selves in order to heal others. We learned with Chiron in Pisces that we are all connected to the universe. That everything is connected and in that sense we are all one. Now we are being reminded that while we are all connected, we are individuals as well. This year (2018) with Chiron moving between Pisces and Aries, this will be very important for us to remember both these things.

With Chiron in Aries it's time to dig deep and discover who you really are. What is your true identity? Since birth we have had many different possible identities thrown at us. Which ones are true though? What masks have you been wearing that are no longer serving you?

The North Node in Leo is helping us out with this energy as it is pushing us to become our authentic selves and shine our inner light out into the world. Uranus is even leaving Aries right now. It was pushing us to break free of limitations holding us back from being our own weird, unique selves. We may have been pushed to break free a bit, but now we gotta dig a little deeper and see what wounds we have around these issues that we need to heal. Perhaps it's time to look back at childhood to times when who you really are or something you wanted was looked down upon by a parent or authority figure etc. A lot of Chiron issues seem to stem from childhood.

Chiron in Aries may not be easy. It brings up our wounds. How can we heal wounds if we don't even feel what they are? We could feel insecure in ourselves and afraid to move forward with what we want as these wounds come up. It's time to start healing them though, so that we can stand strong in our own power.

Aries as the first sign of the zodiac rules new beginnings. It's a cardinal sign that has to do with initiation. We must also heal wounds we have around the ability to start fresh and go after what we want in life. Also, healing our ability to step into our own power. Healing our ability to step into roles of leadership. How have you felt disempowered in your life? It's time to start healing that.

I also believe that Chiron in Aries will help us heal the 'warrior' energy and masculine energy that is out of wack. Aries is ruled by Mars, which besides being the planet representing masculinity ( Venus is femininity) it is also the 'god of war'. We have known for a long time that we are living in a society where the masculine energy or yang energy predominates. We are wanting to bring the feminine energy more into balance. I think Chiron in Aries will bring up and hopefully help us heal the unbalanced masculine energy. What could also be brought up to heal could be 'the warrior' archetype. Helping us question what type of aggression isn't working anymore? Bringing up age old issues of warfare etc. I'm not saying Chiron in Aries will bring the end of the patriarchy or world peace or anything like that, but it will hopefully bring up some important issues around these themes for healing. To be a catalyst to help us heal our out of whack world. Remember that Chiron in Aries is essentially about healing our identities as individuals. It all starts with one person at a time. Balance your own inner masculine/feminine. Bring your own inner warrior into balance. It all starts with one person at a time. With our actions and our beliefs and what we identify with.

New Moon in Aries: Finally Time to Plant Those Seeds and Start Fresh

Sunday (April 15th 2018) is a big day as Mercury turns direct on the same day that we have a New Moon in Aries! We have been forced to turn within the past three weeks and it hasn't been easy. Mercury has been retrograde in Aries, which has been difficult as Aries is associated with new beginnings and charging ahead and we have not been able to do that. Mercury still has to retrace it's steps until it's back the degree it was before it went retrograde, but it is still moving forward.

It's awesome that Mercury turns direct on the day of the New Moon because the phase of the lunar cycle that symbolizes new beginnings and the time to plant your seeds is the New Moon! On top of that the New Moon is in Aries; the first sign of the zodiac associated with new beginnings. Sure looks like things will finally be moving forward!

The New Moon is conjunct Uranus as well, which could really spice things up for some people. Change could finally be here! Time to shake things up and break free from the restrictive energy you may have felt lately due to harsh aspects between planets in Aries and Capricorn. That energy isn't quite over with, but it doesn't seem as intense as it was.

Jupiter and Pluto are still in an exact sextile the day of the New Moon too, which is great. This shows us that we are supported in growing and transforming. This aspect represents growing and transforming on a deep level in particular.

The Aries energy besides bringing potential new beginnings, has to do with us standing in our individuality and our power. If you have been prevented from doing that for some reason, you now have an opportunity to start fresh (New Moon) and break free (Uranus). Mercury retrograde in Aries could have made us think about ourselves a lot. Contemplating our individual power and expression. We may have felt frustrated and restricted. It's time to break free from those seeming limitations. The future is looking brighter now!

It's interesting to note the big changes that are happening in Aries around this time with other planetary bodies. Chiron is about to enter Aries. We will be healing and dealing with wounds around this Aries energy soon. Also, Uranus is going to leave Aries soon. It's the last New Moon in Aries with Uranus there. It's really important to embrace that energy therefore. To radically embrace our individuality and the freedom we have to embrace that. With all the Capricorn squares lately we may have felt that others or some expectations were restricting us from complete expression of our own individual selves and power. We must see how we are truly free though, and fully embrace this freedom and self-hood at this time before Uranus moves on and this New Moon is really powerful for stepping into that.

✨Overall this is an exciting New Moon with fresh new energy for us. Enjoy and embrace it and yourself!
