Full Moon in Libra: Time for Balance amongst Intense Change

I'm sitting here writing this right as the Moon reaches it's fullest point. It's been crazy in the cosmos lately, which is reflecting in our lives at the moment. As above, so below so they say. Reality is changing. The structures of society are changing. We're at a major moment of birthing a new way. In the midst of all this, now we have the Full Moon. It's time to release. To release some pressure and this sure does feel like a pressure cooker we're in at the moment. In particular it's a time to release so that we can find balance.

With the Sun in Aries and Moon in Libra, this Full Moon places focus on our relationships. It's time to find some balance here. On one hand we have the Moon in Libra conjunct asteroid Juno in Libra. This is about one-on-one relationships. This could be about any relationships, but of course romantic comes about strongly as well. On one hand there's partly a desire to connect here. With the Juno aspect this can be pretty serious too. Juno is about committed relationships. Partnership. Marriage. This time could on one hand be bringing people closer together. Uniting in partnership.

The other side of this though is the Aries energy, which is all about the self and independence. There's  a balancing out of the scales happening here between self and others. I wouldn't disconnect entirely from others, but I also would make sure you're giving enough energy to yourself. This Full Moon is about having both. Releasing anything keeping this balance from happening. This makes a lot of sense if we look at the times we are living in because some people live alone and maybe need to remember connection and some live with people and maybe need to give more energy to themselves. You can have both. Really getting in tune with yourself right now, yet really growing closer in partnership with those around you. For some this could be big relationship turning points as well.

At the time of the Full Moon we have a tense, electric aspect between Mars in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus. This time can bring about unexpected events or change. It also though carries so much restlessness, angst, rebelliousness and anxiety. Our nervous systems may be on overdrive. There's tension that needs an outlet. Change is here and we must accept it. There's such a drive to break free and change, but from changes that have already happened if that makes sense. Accept the change. It won't help to try to rebel from change.

The other big aspect going on at the time of the Full Moon is Mercury in Pisces sextile Jupiter in Capricorn. Our minds can start to think more optimistically about everything that's going on perhaps. We can see the bigger picture. With Mercury in Pisces though we can't really be too practical, we must go with the flow. Tap into our intuition. Follow our feelings. Practical clear thinking has not really been present for awhile because Mercury has had such a long stay in Pisces. We gotta have some trust and faith with this aspect. Optimism. Tune into what we truly 'feel' is going on. This could also be a time of good news in some respects or important communications.

This is a tense time, but just remember to find balance in your relationships, to unite in partnership with who you love or those you love if you're not in a romantic relationship, to make sure your needs are met and you have time for yourself as well. Remember to accept change as radical as it may seem. To see the bigger picture and remain optimistic. Wishing you all the best everyone!

Full Moon in Libra: Reaching a Turning Point in Relationships and Our Individual Journeys

The time has come and we are wrapping up a cycle that started on March 20th with a Full Moon in Libra, with yet another Full Moon in Libra tomorrow! ( April 19th 2019 4:12 AM PST). It's not often we have two Full Moons in the same sign and it means we are continuing to deal with the same energy. The first Libra Full Moon took place at 0 degrees, which was significant. It marked a time of release and yet new beginnings. Maybe even the beginning of the end you could say. This Full Moon we're having now is happening at 29 degrees (that's the highest in degrees a zodiac sign goes) which is quite an important degree and marks a big turning point. This is the final turning point for anything that needs releasing. Things are about to change and we are turning a corner.

Full Moons happen astrologically when the Sun and Moon are in opposing signs. The Full Moon is always made up of both these energies. With this Full Moon (and the last one we had) we are dealing with Libra and Aries energy. This means there's been lots of relationship turning points both romantic and otherwise (could be anything; friends, colleagues, bosses, clients, family you name it!) Relationships have been front and center in many people's lives. With the Aries energy though there's also a big focus on ourselves, our individuality and our egos. It's a back and forth energy seeing how our individual selves relate to others. Do you give too much to others? Do you give up yourself for others? Are you hesitant to give of yourself because of past experiences? This energy has also been bringing relationships to a close and also may have been bringing about some new ones. There's lots of shifting and changing when it comes to our own selves and our relationships to others! Whatever you have been going through, we have now reached a major turning point and it's important to let go of what doesn't serve you and bravely step into this new territory.

It's interesting to take note of some aspects we have had recently and are going to have to understand what's playing out around this Full Moon.

Last week we had the Sun square Saturn, the South Node and Pluto in Capricorn. This had to do with coming up against restrictions and realities in our lives, so that we could face them and deal with them. It brought up the fact that some situations need to end, that some outdated structures aren't serving us anymore. That old things that brought us a sense of security probably need to be let go of.

The Sun during the Full Moon is moving towards a conjunction with Uranus that will be exact this weekend. Get ready for the unexpected! It's time to break free. To shake things up. That Capricorn energy we had come up against had shown us how we were restricted, but this Uranus energy shows us how we can be free. That it's time for change and for the new. We can't hold on to sub par situations for security reasons. Life awaits us! Time to break out of the shackles and see what wonderful things life has to offer us.

Venus, the ruling planet of Libra will be reaching the end degrees of Pisces at the Full Moon. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, so I do really feel like this shows that there is definitely an ending of a relationship cycle being reached for some people.

When we had the first Libra Full Moon on March 20th Mercury was still retrograde in Pisces. Things started to shift, but there wasn't so much clarity. Mercury finally moved into Aries just a couple days ago and now we also finally have more clarity at this time! Better ability to make decisions, see the facts and communicate better.

Mercury is also just about conjunct Chiron at the time of the Full Moon too, so we may need to heal some identity wounds. Perhaps around being able to express ourselves in particular.

What an intense past month this has been in regards to relationships and our own individuality and identity! We have now reached a big turning point. If faced with decisions make ones that you know are for your highest good. Release that which doesn't serve you. It's time to change and begin a new chapter of relating.

Full Moon in Libra on the Spring Equinox

Spring is finally here and with it a Full Moon in Libra tonight. There is already a shift in energy with the end of winter and beginning of spring. The Sun always moves into Aries on the spring equinox bringing the astrological new year. There are new beginnings in the air and the Full Moon brings a culmination point now as well.

Full Moon's are a time of harvest, completion and then letting go. We are shedding the old as we move into spring. This Full Moon is happening at zero degrees however. We've had quite a series of Full Moon's at zero degrees. Every time we shed the old, there is a new beginning being birthed at the same time lately.

This Full Moon is happening in Libra. It's really interesting because next month we are actually going to have another Full Moon in Libra as well. This is a rarity. This means that relationships are going to be really highlighted during this time.

Full Moons are made up of both the energy of the Sun and the Moon. The Sun will be in Aries and the Moon in Libra, so we are dealing with the Aries-Libra axis. This axis is all about the self (Aries) vs relationships with others (Libra). This is a time to make sure your need for relationships is in balance with your need for independence. Anything upsetting this balance needs to be let go of. It's a time to bring more balance and harmony to your life. If you've been so independent that you aren't making room for relationships then this will be brought into question. If you've been sacrificing yourself for someone else then this will be brought into question. This is all about having healthy relationships in your life where there is compromise and you don't have to sacrifice your identity or sense of individuality.

Chiron in Aries will be conjunct the Sun during this Full Moon helping us heal our sense of independence and identity within relationships. Releasing and healing times when this was sacrificed in the past. It's important to have a strong sense of self in healthy relationships. To never have to give up your identity or your own needs. This healing element can be so powerful for healing our egos and sense of individuality.

At the time of the Full Moon Venus in Aquarius will be making two big exact aspects. On on hand Venus will be sextile Jupiter in Sagittarius. This is an aspect that can help us grow and expand in the realm of relationships. It can be a bit lucky. It can help us gain a new perspective on our beliefs about relationships and help us get out of our boxes or comfort zones.

The other aspect Venus is making is a square to Mars. This is interesting because Venus rules Libra and Mars rules Aries. The planetary rulers of the Full Moon are square each other! This can bring some tension around relationships. Although this tension does have potential to be somewhat exciting  if it brings about healthy sexual tension. Venus is the feminine energy and Mars the masculine. The feminine and masculine energies within ourselves could be at odds. If one is out of balance it's a good time to recognize it and bring it back into a state of equilibrium. Are you too in your yang energy 'doing'  too much or pushing forward too much? Or are you too passive in a yin state? It can be different for everyone, but I know in today's world it's more likely that you're out of touch with feminine/yin energy. If so when you bring these back into balance it can bring harmony to your relationships as well.

It's a big day full of lots of shifts. Lots of things are ending, beginning and being brought back into balance. Don't forget it's still Mercury Retrograde, so all may not be clear yet and there's still a need to go with the flow.

Full Moon in Libra: The 'Self', Relationships and Being the Architect of Your Own Life

This Saturday (March 31st 2018) we are having a Full Moon in Libra! It's been an intense time lately and this Full Moon is no different. There's a lot going on around it.

The Full Moon happens when the Moon and the Sun oppose each other. The Sun and Moon are equally important in a Full Moon and we always deal with two opposite energies. This Full Moon the Sun is in Aries and the Moon is in Libra. The basic energy of this Full Moon all other aspects aside is all about balancing yourself and your own independent needs with that of a relationship or relationships. It's about finding compromise and releasing anything holding you back from that.

The Sun in Aries is the part of the Full Moon that deals with the 'self' and our independence. The Sun will be conjunct Mercury, which is retrograde, during the Full Moon. This means there's quite a bit of reflection around this time. It's important to really go deep within yourself and reflect at this time. Reflect on who you are, your own independence and how that fits into relationships with other people. Reflect on relationships as well and what you think makes a relationship harmonious. The past may keep popping up at this time. You could be thinking about past events. Times when you may have given yourself up for another person or times when you were willful and selfish and didn't really put the effort you should have into a relationship. Times when things weren't really fair and harmonious. It's important to sort through all these things, so that ultimately you can be happy with yourself and happy within your partnerships.

The Moon is in Libra for this Full Moon and Libra is ruled by Venus. It's important to take note that the day of the Full Moon Venus enters Taurus. There's a new fresh Venus energy starting that day. Besides ruling Libra, Venus also rules Taurus. This is a good Venus placement. Grounded and sensual. Much better than when Venus was in Aries. This can help us out in the relationship arena. Venus in Taurus gets along with all the Capricorn energy that's going on right now, which is very helpful. Venus in Aries did not do that.

The difficult part of the Full Moon is a square to both Mars and Saturn in Capricorn. This whole Aries season has been marked by squares that all the planets in Aries are making to all the planets in Capricorn. It's interesting because Aries is ruled by Mars and Mars is in Capricorn! So not only is all the Aries energy coming up against Capricorn blocks, it's ruled by it! It's quite a Saturnian and Capricornian time. We may feel like we're coming against blocks of different kinds, which can bring out anger and frustration in some people. There's a sense of restriction and not being able to move forward quite yet or get what we want. Aries energy is impulsive. We can't be impulsive at this time though. If you were to act impulsively right now the price to pay would be pretty high. Aries is the child and Capricorn is the parent that says 'no!'. It sounds like a bummer, but it's all for a reason. The universe is always on our side, remember that. We can indeed have what we want, but we must be patient, build slowly and be practical. Saturn rules authority and parental figures. We need to step into our own authority and be our own parent. These aspects we are having are forcing us to 'grow up'. Take your life seriously! Decide what you want seriously and start building it practically and responsibly. When you act like a little child who just impulsively wants things and so you just does things without thinking, you are not serving your highest good. Take your own life seriously and think about whether something contributes to the greater plan of your life before you do it. The brakes are on at this time, but it's for a greater purpose. This also contributes to relationships. We should take them more seriously as well. Decide what you want to build in terms of relationships and be committed to that.

You are the architect of your own life. Sit down and think about what kind of life you would like to build. What do you truly want for yourself that would serve your highest good? What do you want your relationships to look like? Sit down at the drawing board and think. Reflect on things that have already happened to get clearer on what is right for you. When Mercury Retrograde is over you can start drawing. Perhaps you are truly sitting down to a clean slate at this time because of lots of changes. Perhaps you have already been drawing up the life you want, but you need to take a break and reflect on it. Do you need to tweak some things? Have you decided you
want to add something you didn't know you wanted before? You only get this one life as the person you are now, so take it seriously and decide to create a life that is fulfilling.

Full Moon in Libra: Relationships With a Twist of the Unexpected

Right now ( April 10th 2017 11:08 PM PST) as I am writing this there is a Full Moon happening in Libra. It's been interesting in the cosmos lately and this Full Moon is just one more piece of the puzzle. There has been an emphasis on relationships lately and this Full Moon is no different.

Full Moons are a time of harvest so expect certain things to come to fruition. It's a time to let go though as the Moon begins to wane. The Full Moon is also overrun with Cardinal energy, which is all about starting new things. The Sun in Aries just amplifies this, since Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and the sign of new beginnings. It's an interesting time because it's time to let go of some things and yet it's time to start fresh at the same time. It's important to remember as well that we may not be aware of the full picture yet as Venus and Mercury are still retrograde. We are all still reflecting and figuring it out.

Themes surrounding this Full Moon are: relationships, compromise, love, individuality, transforming  structures in our lives and commitment.

The Moon in Libra along with it's conjunction to Jupiter is the part of the puzzle that is really highlighting relationships, harmony within them and love. Emotionally there is a focus on relationships and maybe a need for them. The Moon is always 'hungry' and so with the Moon in Libra it is hungry for harmonious relationships. Jupiter is helping out the Moon nicely and is pushing us to grow and expand the way we relate in partnerships. Jupiter is in a retrograde however and Venus who rules Libra is retrograde as well, so there's still internal work to be done in the relationship arena.

The Sun in Aries along with it's conjunction to Uranus is highlighting our individuality. This energy is very focused on the 'self'. Of course we have to balance the 'me' with the 'we' which has been a ongoing theme for months now. With the Sun in Aries we want to shine in our individuality and to impulsively go after what we want. With the Uranus influence there may be a desire for some freedom and liberation as well. This is a combination of planets that craves the new and may bring in the unexpected. We may all be in for an element of surprise.

Pluto in Capricorn is squaring the Sun and Moon (forming a T-square) and has an authoritarian type energy reminding us "what we need to be doing." It's pushing us to transform the structures in our lives though. This may create tension, but the kind of tension that helps us make changes. It's also interesting to note that the asteroid Juno will be close to Pluto and also loosely squaring the Sun and Moon. Juno is the asteroid concerned with committed relationships. We are being pushed to transform our committed relationships. There could be a shakeup within a commitment. This asteroid of commitment is adding to the relationship story in some way that's for sure.

~Overall this is an action packed Full Moon. It's happening at such an interesting time too, with Venus in her last stretch of retrograde and Mercury just starting a retrograde. Our lives are being shaken up that's for sure! Always for the better though. There is a beautiful story and evolvement happening particularly within relationships. ~
