New Moon in Sagittarius: Taking a Leap of Faith Into a Bright Future

Boy oh boy has the energy leading up to this New Moon been intense! We had a three week Mercury Retrograde taking us down into the depths and shadows confronting inner truths and demons. Lots of inner transformation hopefully took place. All of this was leading to outer change. Over the weekend Mars opposed Uranus bringing change, shakeups and the unexpected. Venus and Jupiter were conjunct and right in line with the center of the Milky Way Galaxy bringing so much growth, hope, expansion, love and a doorway into a bright future. Now to top it off right after that energy is a New Moon and new start in Sagittarius. 

There really aren't big aspects to the New Moon. It's more about the lead up to it that was important. Change is here. New beginnings. The New Moon in Sagittarius is about looking towards the future, out towards the horizon, with hope, faith and optimism. Ready to expand and grow. Ready for a new adventure. We've done the inner work and confronted truths hopefully (we're still processing and integrating it all.) We've experienced some change or shakeups already. Maybe desire (Mars in Scorpio) for change (Uranus). For some there may be endings. We've experienced a doorway of just the best possible things you could want with Venus and Jupiter. This New Moon is way tied into Venus-Jupiter because it's in Sagittarius and we won't see a New Moon in Sagittarius with Jupiter there for 12 years. This is lucky. Take this positive opportunity. Dream big and move into this bright future. If you believe and have optimism, the world really can be your oyster right now. This energy this week/past weekend can be intense, edgy and bring with it some endings, but truly what's overwhelming about this energy is just how dang positive it can be. So much opportunity! Step into this doorway of light. Choose this positive new path and look out towards a bright future. 

New Moon in Sagittarius: What's Around the Bend?

On Sunday (December 17th 2017) we are having a New Moon in Sagittarius! New Moons happen every month and always mark a good time to plant seeds for new beginnings in our lives as it marks a point in which the Moon begins a new cycle. Sometimes this period of time deals with some smaller new beginnings. This New Moon though, is a bigger deal and is more intense . 

An Abundance of Sagittarius  

This New Moon is in Sagittarius with three other planets in Sagittarius as well. Saturn is one of the planets and it is at 29 degrees of Sagittarius and about to move on finally after a three year cycle, which is very significant. We are at the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one basically. With this New Moon and all this Sagittarius energy we are being asked to find our truth. To figure out what is real and true in our lives. We are being asked to figure out where we would like our futures to go. We are also being asked to question what we believe and our beliefs about life. With Mercury Retrograde we have already really been questioning these things and have been revisiting certain things in order to try and find the answers. Mercury will still be retrograde this week, so even a little after this New Moon you may be trying to make sense of everything. I personally think that January is when these things will really start to move forward and make sense when Mercury picks up the pace again. This weekend though, is big and might bring some more clues to this puzzle. It will be interesting to see what comes up. 

The Galactic Center

The Galactic Center is something that keeps being brought up a lot lately. The New Moon will be conjunct the Galactic Center (the center of our milky way galaxy). This just shows how powerful the energy backing this New Moon is. This is an important time in many peoples lives. If you are at all spiritually inclined or have some sort of meditative/spiritual practice, I believe theres a lot of energy and 'downloads' that are available to connect with at this time. Connecting on a spiritual level like this might help us find the right path we are meant to go on. 

Saturn 
The New Moon is conjunct Saturn, which is at the fateful 29 degrees of Sagittarius. Saturn will be moving into Capricorn on Tuesday. It's wrapping up a cycle that started at the very end of 2014. Think of the things you have gone through since then, you are completing a certain cycle of your life and starting a new one. At the time of this New Moon we are at a culmination point and preparing for a new cycle. 

Uranus 
The New Moon is also trine Uranus. Uranus brings change and I'm sure you can already tell that change is coming. Uranus can also bring the unexpected. Perhaps some unexpected bit of information comes in that gives you clarity as to where it is you should be going. If not that, there could be some other unexpected event. A trine is a more positive aspect so unexpected in this case should hopefully be a good thing. 

Chiron 
The New Moon is also square Chiron. This is a more difficult aspect. This brings up the fact that we have got to heal our wounds! Mercury Retrograde also squared Chiron, so part of  finding the direction our future is going in, is to heal things from the past that are still hurting us. Finding out the truth of some matters so we can move on. Healing hurts that are preventing us from going along the right path. Healing beliefs that are keeping us stuck. The energy of this square and the trine to Uranus may have been felt a little stronger a couple days up to the New Moon when they were making a direct aspect to the Sun. 

Belief and Manifestation
It's best to heal beliefs you have about life that don't serve you at this time. When Saturn moves into Capricorn we want to make sure that some of the life we are creating doesn't involve the manifestation of some of our bad beliefs. Capricorn is an earth sign and can be related to manifesting things on the physical plane. 

Mercury Retrograde's Activity at the Time of the New Moon
At the time of the New Moon, Mercury in it's Retrograde motion will trine/sextile the Nodes. This is an aspect I mentioned briefly in my Mercury Retrograde post. This is an aspect that is trying to get us aligned with our purpose and our authentic path. An aspect that is trying to get us to bring our authentic self into the spotlight. Helping us step into what our hearts want and away from what we think others want us to do and what helps us 'fit in'. Mercury Retrograde is hitting this spot so we can find these things, so we can move on accordingly. 

~Overall there is a lot going on! We are reviewing certain things, ending a cycle and beginning a new one. This is a big time to find our 'truths' and to find out the life we are meant to be living. To find out the next step on our path. This New Moon could really bring us to an interesting point. Remember though, that while we may really want clarity and to totally move forward, I would be patient until Mercury turns direct and gains momentum. We are getting prepared to move forward at this time.~

New Moon in Sagittarius: Set Your Sights On the Goal

On Tuesday ( November 29th 2016 at 4:18 AM PST) there will be a New Moon in Sagittarius. Finally the crazy Full Moon phase is over and we are heading into the territory of new beginnings. 

New Moons are known for being a time of manifesting what we would like into our lives and for new beginnings. This is even more profound with the fact that there is a lot of planetary activity going on around the New Moon with cardinal planets. Cardinal energy is all about starting new things, so that energy is ours for the taking at the moment. 

The New Moon is in Sagittarius, which is a sign that encourages us to be more optimistic, to believe and to see our inner truth. This could be a time where you change your beliefs, learn new things or dig deep to see what your truth is and what needs to be done in your life. Sagittarius is 'the archer' so it's a time to see the truth about what needs to be done and shoot 'your arrow' in that direction. It's time to set new goals. 

There are a lot of planetary aspects to and around the New Moon. The first aspect isn't to a planet, but to the Moon's Nodes. The New Moon is square the Nodes. This may bring some karmic issues to the forefront. It's time to deal with our issues and to make sure that we are living our life purpose. It isn't time to escape, it's time to bring your soul gifts out into the open and use them to be of service to others and live the path of your purpose. 

The second aspect is the New Moon square Neptune. This energy may also make some people want to escape, or feel tired, energetically sensitive, emotionally sensitive and maybe even a bit confused. If this is the case, some self care or retreating is alright around the actual day of the New Moon. Maybe use your retreat time to decide and meditate about the changes you would like to implement in your life and the things you want to manifest. Just don't succumb to unhealthy escapism. 

The third aspect around the New Moon is Mars trine Jupiter. Jupiter has also been squaring Pluto recently and that energy is still in effect as well. Jupiter square Pluto has been pushing for us to  succeed and Mars trine Jupiter is similar in the fact that it encourages us to go after our ambitions, to expand and grow and to live our life purpose. Mars being in Aquarius and Jupiter being in Libra are working together nicely in the realm of relationships with people as well. There is an ability to find harmony, compromise and an equality with other people. This is nice energy, which may help cool down some of the power struggles of Jupiter square Pluto that have been going on. 

Some other aspects that are happening involve Venus. Relationships have been transforming especially since the crazy Full Moon and Venus's recent conjunction to Pluto. Now Venus is square Uranus, which brings more changes afoot. Relationship dynamics are changing. Some unexpected stuff could even come up since Uranus can be a bit of a wild card. Venus will also be sextile Chiron, which means it's also a  great time to heal relationship woulds. 

Wow! What a lot of energy around this New Moon! It's a time of change and embarking on new adventures. Especially with relationships and following our life purpose. It's time to find our 'inner truth' and set our sights on where we'd like to go. 

New Moon in Sagittarius: Heading in New Directions

On November 22nd 2014 at 4:32 AM (PST) there will be a New Moon in Sagittarius. This should be an optimistic and positive New Moon, which will be a welcome change after the two eclipses we had and all the Scorpio energy that has been around lately. 

The New Moon in Sagittarius is all about going in a new direction and setting new goals. Sagittarius loves adventure and looks toward the future with positive aspirations, so expect to be doing that as well. Sagittarius is a fire sign, so expect for things to start moving quicker in your life. Think about things you have been wanting to do lately, but have been putting on the back burner. Those things are what you should finally give attention too. Where this New Moon falls in your Natal Chart will determine what area of your life you will be putting new energy into. Perhaps you will want to start a new creative project, get a new job, or go in a new direction with a relationship. Sagittarius rules foreign travel, so perhaps it's time to finally decide to take that trip you've been dying to take.

Regardless of which direction this Sagittarius New Moon takes you, you should feel a burst of positive energy during this time. This New Moon is a welcome relief after some intense energy lately and should give us all a breath of fresh air and new found inspiration.
