A Word on Astrology

Hi everyone! I felt inspired today for all of you who have been reading my posts and who have worked with me to delve a little deeper into what astrology is and what I'm posting.

Astrology is the study of how the planets affect humans and human behavior. Basically how the planets affect the energy you could say. We all live within this universe and it makes sense to me that we are influenced by it's movements as everything is connected. When I work with people everything is based around their birth chart, which is a chart drawn up for the moment and place they were born. I like to see it that you are a piece of the universe and so that particular energy that was in play the minute you came into being becomes like a personal energy blueprint. Birth charts are only repeated every 25,000 years. After you take your first breath though, the planets keep moving and they have everyday since. They keep moving and affecting your birth chart showing constant evolution and change. You are not just part of this living fabric of the universe, but you are living in it and it is forever moving. The transits are what I talk about in these posts. Current planetary placements. They do affect everyone in a way because we all live on this planet, yet they affect everyone individually as well in completely different ways which I also look at when I work with people one on one.

The earliest birth chart found dates from 410 B.C., although acknowledgement that planets affect humans goes back even further. Rulers from Rome, monarchs from England's past and even presidents have been reliant on astrologers. Sadly though, at one point in time it faded into the background. As science gained strength people didn't want to believe what they couldn't prove, which is limiting to me. (Also, the reason they say it doesn't work is because they think the zodiac signs talked about are based on the constellations, but the zodiac signs come from the zodiac belt and don't have anything to do with the constellations in western astrology). Religion when it had gained strength condemned it as well as all sorts of other things. Again, limiting. Well more controlling I should say. It seems that ways of thinking such as astrology that are so in tune with the natural flow of life threatened the sense of control they wanted to exert. People have seemed out of touch with not only the universe's movements, but with the earth, the naturalness of their bodies etc. ever since. Eventually astrology made a come back in the 20th century with horoscopes and sun signs. Which is a shame because horoscopes are frivolous and basically don't tell you anything. Sun signs are very real, but when seen without the context of the rest of astrology they seem to show that astrology says you fit in one of twelve boxes. Back to the fact that birth charts are only repeated every 25,000 years, astrology actually shows everyone to be unique. Sun signs are just a part of that. These days 'true' astrology is alive and thriving, just it's not usually what people think about when they think about astrology.

There is a measure of belief that comes with being into astrology since we cannot prove that the movements of the planetary bodies affects us as humans. Yet it is most definitely not a belief system. It is a tool. Astrologers have always studied the planetary movements and they saw patterns emerge and studied how different placements affected people. This has been passed down and improved upon throughout the ages. To me it makes perfect sense. The more I got into it, it couldn't help but become a huge part of my life because it simply completely makes sense. There is just that gap in scientifically proving it. To me it is actually quite practical in a way. I don't need to know why it works, but it very much seems to.I  love being in the flow of life and the universe. Honestly, it's been a better way to live. Just because it jives so much with me doesn't mean it has to jive with all of you out there. I believe in keeping an open mind and questioning everything. I do like to say that personally for the most part I believe in nothing, yet I believe in infinite possibility.

What astrologers have discovered through their studies of astrology is the different energies of the different planets and their alignments. It's all just energy. We can't tell the future or predict anything. I certainly can't claim to know that. Just to understand the astrological symbols and what kind of energy they hold and what that could imply for our human lives. I try to put it in helpful human terms. There is still a mystery to all of it though and I believe it's what you choose to do with certain energies that can help determine how your future goes. That's why astrology is a helpful tool.

Whether astrology resonates and makes sense to you or not, I hope this post was helpful in getting to understand it a bit more. If you would like to join me in being in the cosmic flow you could say I will always be keeping everyone up to date on current energies. If you would like to delve deeper into your personal birth chart and how energies are affecting you personally if you message me I am always available to work with you. ✨

Aries New Moon: Time to Start Fresh

©layoutsparks.com

"Every Beginning comes from some other beginnings end"
  -Unknown

On March 30th 2014 at 11:45 AM (PST) there will be a New Moon in Aries. The above quote perfectly describes the energy of this New Moon. This is time to rid ourselves of what no longer serves us, to start fresh, and to begin anew.

This is a major time of new beginnings. For starters the astrological new year and spring started last week, which already signifies the start of new things. Then this New Moon is going to come along, with a load of new beginning energy in tow. This is also the 2nd new moon this month, making it a black moon, which is extra potent. The New Moon is conjunct Uranus in Aries, square Pluto in Capricorn and also square Jupiter in Cancer. The square to Pluto urges us to eliminate what no longer serves us and to transform our lives. It urges us to initiate change and shake things up. The square to Jupiter urges us to expand and grow. Since Jupiter is in Cancer, we might particularly be pushed to become more compassionate towards others. Jupiter and Pluto are also opposing each other which gives us an extra push towards transforming and growing.  The conjunction to Uranus furthers our need to start afresh. It awakens pioneering energy, urging us to do new things, and to re-invent ourselves.

This New Moon wakes us up from winter, igniting us with the Aries fire of passion. It urges us to eagerly go after what we want with determination. It also sets things into motion and gives us a burst of enthusiasm. Another thing of importance to note is that this New Moon may bring back some energy that we have lost because of Mars being retrograde. Overall this is a super manifesting time, filled with fresh starts. Don't forget to write down what you want on this New Moon, to really make sure that you manifest whatever it is you want in your life. I urge you to plant new seeds and watch them grow into something beautiful!

Happy Manifesting!

Aries: The Ram

Aries

Planetary ruler- Mars
Element- Fire
Modality- Cardinal
Yin/Yang- Yang (Masculine)

Today, March 20th 2014, the Sun moved into Aries at 9:57 AM ( PST). So Happy Birthday to all of you Aries out there! This is such a special time because the Sun's descent into Aries signifies the beginning of the astrological new year and the spring equinox. This is a time of new beginnings, of the birth of new life, and the birth of new ideas. In honor of the Sun moving into Aries I want to talk about the qualities of Aries and the personality of somebody with an Aries Sun.

Aries, since it is a  Cardinal sign and ruled by the planet Mars, is a very energetic and active sign. Aries are great at starting new things, and are usually pretty physically active. Aries are usually independent, headstrong individuals who make excellent leaders. They can be extremely passionate about the things they love, pursuing their passions with gusto. Aries is a masculine (yang) sign and therefore is usually quite outgoing, unless aspects in a natal chart show otherwise. Fire is the element that rules Aries, which can make an Aries have quite a temper at times, but they are usually quick to cool off. Aries is the first sign in the zodiac, symbolizing the first stage of human evolution. Aries breaks away from the collective consciousness of Pisces and starts anew with a newly formed individual identity. Therefore, Aries are self oriented. They are experiencing the world through being an independent individual. Aries is a great place for the Sun, since the Sun symbolizes how you express your identity and Aries Sun's are so great at expressing their individual identity. Aries downfall however is the ego. People born under an Aries Sun must be careful not to fall under ego traps. They must remember that yes we are all unique and special in our own individual way, but we are also all the same at our core. We all come from the same source and nobody is "better" than anybody else.

Although we are all the same essentially, Aries shows us that we all have different personality's and our own special light to shine. During the Sun's time in Aries I encourage all of you to embrace your unique talents and personalities and to plant the seeds for what all of you would like to see in your life!

Pisces New Moon and Retrogrades: A Time For Reflection and Turning Inward

There is quite a lot going on in the stars and the universe at the moment. The energy is quite intense and I'm sure most people are feeling it. It has been a time to reflect and to purge what no longer serves us. This may be a hard time, but it is a powerful and important time nevertheless. This weekend there is a pileup of astrological events. There is a New Moon in Pisces, Mars is going retrograde and so is Saturn.

On Friday February 28th 2014, the morning starts off pretty great, as Mercury finally goes direct from being retrograde. Any miscommunication and appliances/electronics gone awry should finally be cleared up. That night at 11:59 PM (PST) there will be a New Moon in Pisces. Every New Moon is conjunct the Sun, but this New Moon ( and Sun) are going to be conjunct Neptune and Chiron. This Stellium is going to intensify the energy of Pisces. This could be quite an intuitive and psychic time. Your imagination could run wild and this would be a great time for any artistic endeavors. This energy could make you feel quite sensitive though, you may feel confused or like you just want to escape. Pisces is feminine and introverted, so if you feel like staying home and escaping from the world, that's OK. Since the New Moon is about manifesting don't forget to write down what you'd like to manifest. I've talked about this before, but you can manifest your desires by making a New Moon jar, journaling about what you'd like to manifest, or lighting a candle and putting your wishes/desires on a slip of paper underneath. Some good things to help manifest with this particular New Moon and stellium in Pisces are, spiritual goals, things you'd like to heal emotionally, or beliefs that you would like to heal. Chiron brings a strong energy of healing to this New Moon in particular, showing us that we need to transcend our wounds and our pain.

Shortly after the New Moon, on Saturday March 1st 2014 at 8:24 AM (PST), Mars goes retrograde in Libra until May 19th. This retrograde will have a lot to do with relationships, particularly because for a while it will be conjunct the North Node in Libra. Mars retrograde can make it hard to express anger properly, which can lead to frustrations and conflicts within our relationships. The important thing is to just remember this, so if a conflict comes up we can take a step back from it and try to calmly work out our issues. This is not a good time to take action or to start projects. It is however a good time to reflect on action we would like to take in the future, especially with relationships. It's time to take a step back and carefully think out plans we would like to make. We might also feel like we have lower energy during this time, which is perfectly normal. It's just a time to turn inwards and meditate on what we would like in our lives.

On Sunday March 2nd 2014 at 8:19 PM Saturn goes retrograde in Scorpio for 4 months. This will be a time to reflect on responsibility and control in our lives. We will  most likely take a look at our lives and see if we have control over them and if we take responsibility for ourselves. We might have to  break off relationships with people who are controlling or we may get out of  jobs, living arrangements or other situations where we feel heavy authority manipulating us. We must take control over our own lives because no one else really has that power, at least only if we give it to them. It's also a good idea to take a look at our lives to see if we are controlling, manipulating or taking responsibility for others. If this is so, we must learn to let them go, to be free to take charge over their own lives. Saturn has to do with karma, because of this, karmic patterns of control may emerge. If this happens , it means it's time to stop the patterns, so we can be free from unnecessary and frustrating control. Remember this is a good time to reflect on these things, I wouldn't take action right away.

The next few months are going to be a really important time to reflect and turn inwards. This will be quite an introverted time. We will need to turn our gaze inwards and review ourselves and our lives and make plans for new things we would like in our lives and to make plans to rid ourselves of whatever doesn't serve us in our lives. This is a tough astrological time we're living through, but don't worry, we will emerge out of it like a butterfly emerging from it's cocoon, so much freer and lighter than before.

Opening Your Heart With the Full Moon on Valentine's Day

"Only from the heart can you touch the sky"
                                                                   -Rumi
This Valentine's Day, February 14th 2014, a special event will occur. There will be a full moon in Leo at 3:53 PM. This will be quite an intense full moon, but one that can help you grow tremendously whether you are single or in a relationship.

The Full moon will be in Leo, which is a generous placement, and of course the energy of generosity is great to have around on Valentine's day. The moon in Leo is also a placement where you will want to be appreciated and to feel special. If you are in a relationship, remember  to be loving and giving to your partner, making them feel like one of a kind. If you are single, be generous and loving to yourself! Pamper yourself and remember that you are a unique and beautiful being.

Things do get more complicated though. The full moon is opposing Mercury retrograde in Aquarius. With the full moon opposing Mercury in retrograde there may be some miscommunication. Remember to have patience this day, if there are any delays and if you feel like your partner isn't appreciating you, just open up and tell them. You'll probably find out that they do appreciate you, just whatever they said or did was miscommunicated. With Mercury in Aquarius opposing the moon in Leo, the desire to be thought special is even stronger. There will be a desire to be put on a pedestal, to be singled out from the group, or to be the apple of your partner's eye. Since Mercury is retrograde, memories from the past where you didn't feel special or weren't appreciated like you wanted to be might come up. If so, let go of these memories, they no longer serve you and remember that you are indeed a special person, regardless if others treat you as such.

Another aspect to the full moon in Leo is a square to Saturn in Scorpio. This is not an easy aspect and it's very intense, but don't be scared because there is tremendous transformative power behind it. Saturn in Scorpio brings up any blockages in your heart. Any fears about abandonment, betrayal, control, emotional intimacy or sexuality may be brought up at this time. Leo rules the heart, so it's time to reflect upon what your heart truly desires and to release any of these blocks, so you can love and accept love to the fullest capacity. Saturn in Scorpio has to do with power, so if you have felt powerless in any way in regards to love or to a partner, it's time to take your power back and know that no one can take your power away. It's time to release any issues regarding power.

Full moons can be an emotional time, especially if the full moon is in your sun sign. This full moon is probably going to be a particularly emotional time. There will most likely be a lot of relationship issues and blocks being brought to the surface which has been a theme lately as Venus just came out of retrograde and is now conjunct Pluto. The good news is that the full moon is a time of release, and releasing these issues can be empowering and life changing. In the next few days before the full moon and Valentine's Day, contemplate and review whatever issues/blocks you may have and decide that you would be better off releasing them. The full moon is releasing night, so that night write down  on pieces of paper what you'd like to let go of and then either burn the paper and release the ashes into the night air, or bury the paper outside underneath the full moon. The night of the full moon and the night before the full moon are also good recharging nights, so if you have crystals remember to give them a "moonbath" by placing them in direct moonlight. It's also a good idea to go for a walk in the moonlight one of those nights, to recharge yourself and your body. If you are in a relationship taking a moonlit walk could be a romantic end to Valentine's day.

I know it sounds like this Valentine's Day might be a bit overwhelming, but have no fear, it could be a life changing milestone. If you are in a relationship use the full moon to discuss with your partner any issues between you two and make it a point to work them out. If you do this your relationship could change for the better, ensuring that you both get the love you deserve and making your relationship much more honest and intimate. If you are single use the full moon to release any blocks you have in regards to relationships, so in the future you can manifest the love and relationship of your dreams.

I wish you all the happiest Valentine's Day filled with much love, light, and transformation!

Jupiter: The Planet of Luck and Expansion

Jupiter is the largest of all planets and is named after the most important god in Roman mythology. It has an expansive, gaseous nature, and because of this nature, in astrology it is considered to be the planet that helps growth and expansion. Jupiter is considered the greater benefic in astrology ( Venus is the lesser benefic) which means it is thought to be the luckiest planet. Jupiter is said to rule the higher mind, as Mercury is said to rule the lower mind, therefore Jupiter is concerned with broader, deeper subjects than Mercury. In a natal chart, the sign and the house Jupiter is in will show in what areas of life you have the ability to grow and what areas of life you will be bestowed with a bit of luck and good fortune. It can also show how you connect with something larger than yourself. In Modern astrology Jupiter rules the zodiac sign Sagittarius which is very fitting since Sagittarius is concerned with finding the meaning of life, and exploring new horizons. In classic astrology however, Jupiter is ruled by Pisces, I personally agree with the modern rulerships though, and feel that Neptune is a more fitting ruler of Pisces. The symbol for Jupiter ( shown in the middle of the above image) shows the crescent of the soul rising above the cross of matter. This shows that Jupiter helps us reach above the mundane physical world, into the limitless, expansive world beyond.

Jupiter stays in each zodiac sign for a year, taking 12 years for it to complete an orbit through the ecliptic. Right now Jupiter is currently in the sign of Cancer which it entered on June 25th 2013 and will stay in until July 16th 2014. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, which means that this is the best placement for Jupiter in be in, and it's already a lucky planet! During Jupiter's time in Cancer it is important to learn how to be compassionate, to have faith, and to trust that the universe will take care of you. This could be a very abundant time for some, trusting is the key to abundance with this placement though. During this time some people may feel a strong urge to connect with family, explore genealogy, change residences, buy a house or start a family due to the influence of Cancer. What area of life this energy of Jupiter in Cancer will play out in though, depends on your solar return chart for this current year.

I now want to talk about what Jupiter means in the various signs and houses in a natal chart. If you know where your Jupiter is in your chart then you can use this guide to help you figure out how Jupiter affects you and your life. If you don't know where your Jupiter is, it would be helpful to get your natal chart done.(Which I offer and would be very happy to do for you!)

Jupiter in the signs:
  • Jupiter in Aries- Growth happens through new experiences and being independent. May have a tendency to be a bit impulsive.
  • Jupiter in Taurus- Usually has a fondness for the material plane and it's pleasures. Growth happens through being productive and reliable. Spiritual growth occurs through connection with nature and understanding the human condition.
  • Jupiter in Gemini- Growth through communication and self expression. Likes constantly learning, expanding one's knowledge and being a source of knowledge for others.
  • Jupiter in Cancer- Growth through compassion and empathy. With this placement there is usually an underlying understanding of the connection everyone has and a knowledge of the abundance of the universe. Home and family are probably important. This can be an abundant placement.
  • Jupiter in Leo- Growth through being appreciated and creativity. Can either be warm hearted or have a big ego. With close friends and family, may like to be a jokester or storyteller.
  • Jupiter in Virgo- Growth through service and helping others. Usually there is a drive for perfection. Either has a hard time accepting spirituality or understands all the details that make up the unity of mankind/the universe.
  • Jupiter in Libra- Growth through close relationships. Does well when supported by a partner. Usually justice and being fair minded are important. Appreciates art and beauty, could be artistic.
  • Jupiter in Scorpio- Growth through personal transformation. Usually attracts experiences to help growth. Sometimes this may be taken too far, and negative experiences could be attracted that do not help growth. Usually expands through experiencing deep sides of life such as; spirituality, the occult, science, deduction, sex, giving birth, or death.
  • Jupiter in Sagittarius- Growth through aspiration and far reaching goals. Spiritual growth could be sought through religion or organized spiritual pursuits. Usually optimistic and broadminded.
  • Jupiter in Capricorn- Growth through ambition and success. Being a leader could be important.

  • Jupiter in Pisces- Growth usually happens through pure spirituality, typically doesn't follow organized religions. There is an ability to transcend boundaries in any number of ways. Usually compassionate and sensitive to others.
Jupiter in the houses:
  • Jupiter in 1st house- Typically optimistic and wanting to convince others to see things the way they do. Whatever sign Jupiter is in and the traits that go along with it, will be highlighted in the personality.
  • Jupiter in 2nd house- This could be quite an abundant placement with a possible faith that the universe will provide. At least there could be luck with money.
  • Jupiter in 3rd house- Constant learning and possible skill with communication. If applicable, siblings could help growth and be a blessing in life.
  • Jupiter in 4th house- Usually a broad inner life. Home is of the utmost importance. Typically this placement indicates lucky home situation, if not now at least in the future.
  • Jupiter in 5th house- Growth through creativity. Having or working with children could be a good thing and a source of growth. Sometimes with this placement there is a tendency to take risks.
  • Jupiter in 6th house- Growth through working and helping others. Work is usually important. Those with this placement must be careful not to give too much of themselves to their work or to their employers. This placement usually indicates technical expertise and an ability to fine tune one's craft. Since the 6th house has to do with health, with Jupiter in this placement make sure to take care of your liver and to not over or under indulge.
  • Jupiter in 7th- Does well when supported by a partner. Growth happens through relationships. Those with this placement would do best with a partner who allows some freedom in a relationship.
  • Jupiter in 8th- Growth through exploring deep and taboo areas of life such as; spirituality, the occult, science, deduction, sex, birth or death. If there are other factors, there could be luck with other people's money such as getting an inheritance.
  • Jupiter in 9th- Growth through contemplating and exploring the meaning of this life. Needs far reaching aspirations. Travel is usually a good thing that supports growth.
  • Jupiter in 10th- Growth through having a career. Career is usually important and may be lucky.
  • Jupiter in 11th- Growth through friends and connecting with groups. Also growth through improvements of society. Having dreams, wishes and aspirations are important.
  • Jupiter in 12th- An innate knowing of creator/God. Usually has a big imagination and likes solitude. May feel like they give to much to others sometimes.

Manifesting Your Dreams With the Black Moon in Aquarius

The New Moon is a time to look within to see what you truly desire

There is a new moon tomorrow, January 30th 2014 at 1:38 PM in Aquarius. This is an exciting and important new moon, for it is the second one this month! The second time a new moon appears in a month, it is called a black moon. Black moons are closer to the earth and therefore affect people more intensely. The first new moon this month was on New Year's day, and the black moon falls on the day before Chinese New Year, which is another reason why this new moon is so exciting! This is such a powerful way to start our year off and it's an important month to think about what we'd like to manifest this year.

A new moon happens when the moon is directly between the earth and the sun, aligning all three planetary bodies. This makes it a great time to align and manifest your desires. During a new moon it is a great idea to write down what you'd like to manifest. There are a few ways you could go about this; you could make a "new moon jar" writing what you desire on slips of paper and putting them inside, you could light a candle and write your intentions on a piece of paper that you put underneath, you could write a list of what you desire ( particularly New Year's resolutions this time, if you haven't already!), or you could simply meditate/reflect on what it is you truly desire.

The new moon will affect everyone differently, depending on what house in your chart it is transiting through, and whether or not it makes aspects to your chart. However there is a general energy to this new moon in Aquarius that will affect everyone for the most part. To start off with, this is a great time to join groups and connect with people. Venus has been retrograde, so I know that this may not sound appealing right now, but it is going direct friday. I promise you'll be feeling more social once Venus goes direct and then you can put yourself out there! This is an important time to be yourself and to independently go after your dreams. There will most likely be a detached air to emotions, so you will have a clear mind to reflect upon your desires. Aquarius is greatly concerned with how things are going on a global scale, so this is a good time to envision what improvements you would like to see made this year to society, earth or earth's creatures.

I hope you all take advantage of this wonderful and powerful energy to manifest your dreams! Much love and light and Happy Manifesting!

Aquarius: The Water Bearer

The sun went into Aquarius today and will stay there for one month, so Happy Birthday to all you Aquarians! In honor of our sun's descent into Aquarius I want to talk a bit about the sign, and certain qualities that most people with their sun in Aquarius have.

Aquarians are community oriented people who are most often quite friendly and personable. Relating to a group is usually important to them and they can sometimes be seen as "fad followers". They usually gain their identity through group consciousness and therefore usually do well when they are part of clubs, sports teams, social reform groups or any other kind of organization or social function. Interestingly enough, despite all the group orientation, Aquarians usually have pretty unique personalities and are most often seen as inventive, original and quirky people. Aquarians are ruled by the element of air, which is a mental quality, because of this they are usually quite intellectual people who can sometimes be seen as a bit detached emotionally, unless there are contradicting factors in the chart. They are also usually interested in technology because of the planetary ruler, Uranus and will most likely always have or at least desire, the latest and greatest in gadgets. Aquarius is the 11th stage of evolution through the zodiac signs which means that at this stage in the zodiac Aquarius examines  the existing rules and structures that have been put in place by Capricorn. They ask these questions about them, Do they protect personal freedom? and, Do they promote the integrity of the group? If the answer is no to these questions, Aquarius decides to rebel and tear down what doesn't work. Because of this energy Aquarians can be quite humanitarian and revolutionary. They have the potential to promote positive social change and to change our world for the better. They also can have a lot of compassion for the world on a global scale, understanding the unity of humankind, earth, and all her creatures. Aquarians are exactly what we need today to make the world a better place!

A Bit About Astrology and Natal Charts

©Josephine Wall
"Astrology is a language. If you understand this language, the sky speaks to you"- Dane Rudhyar
Astrology has been around since ancient times helping people better understand themselves and their life purpose. The placement of the planets at our time of birth creates a map called a natal chart. This map shows us the personality traits, interests, circumstances, and life lessons that we were born into in this lifetime. However, we all have freewill, so not everyone will follow the path their natal chart shows them. The natal chart does show things you need to do to fulfill your life purpose though, so it would be a good idea to act upon most of the information you get from it. Some aspects in the natal chart though (such as a negative personality trait) you can exercise your freewill upon to better yourself.
A natal chart is comprised of the Sun, Moon, the 8 planets of the solar system and the moon's nodes. Some of the asteroids can also sometimes be included in a natal chart, particularly the "planetoid" Chiron. Each of these bodies are in a specific zodiac sign at the time of a person's birth. Some planets though, such as the outer planets can be in one zodiac sign for an entire generation and therefore won't have as personal a meaning. Where the planets were located in the sky at the moment of a person's birth will decide which "houses" in the natal chart the planets will end up in. The houses each represent a different area of life where the "drama" of the planets is acted out. There are also four angles in the chart that are important, the ascendant, the descendant, the MC and the IC. These are also all colored with a zodiac sign and each can describe certain parts of life. The relationships between the planets in a chart are called aspects, they show what planets work together and what planets don't "get along" amongst other things. Another component of a chart worth mentioning, is the elemental and modality balance. Each zodiac sign is ruled by a certain element (earth, air, fire, water) and modality(cardinal, mutable, fixed). Every person has a certain dominant element and modality in their chart which can show basic personality traits and general energy flow of the chart.
