Full Moon in Aries: Making Your Way Through the Storms of Change

On Sunday October 13th at 2:07 PM (PST) we will be having a Full Moon in Aries. What an intense Full Moon this will be!

On September 28th we started a New Moon cycle about finding harmony and balance in our lives. A cycle with a big focus on our relationships with others. That's because the New Moon was in Libra. The opposite of Libra is Aries. Aries is the sign that has to do with the self, independence and individuality. Now that we're in this new phase of relationships we need to check in and make sure that things are truly balanced. That our own selves are balanced with relationships you are part of. To find ultimate harmony. If there's anything holding you back from that it's time to release that. For relationships that are on good footing this shouldn't be too big a deal. This Full Moon though could be a pretty big turning point for those in unbalanced relationships that have gone on for far too long. This could be a make it or break it scenario.

The New Moon in Libra was about a new balanced, harmonious cycle, but it made a weird awkward quincunx to Uranus. This meant everyone wants balance, harmony and connection, but not any shakeups or radical change getting there. Well if you've been avoiding necessary change it's about to stare you in the face.

Pluto in Capricorn will be involved in an exact t-square with the Sun and Moon during the Full Moon. Emotions may be at an all time high especially the more fiery or violent ones. Keep that in mind if you are feeling the waves of emotion, so you don't totally lose it. Power struggles are something in particular to watch out for. I hate being dramatic, but this aspect does not look pretty. However, besides the fact it could bring about unpleasant moods or power struggles, this aspect can bring big changes that need to occur. If it's more minor you could work with this energy better and move through the tension and transform some structures in your life. Whatever things that are keeping you from true happiness in your relationships and your relationship to yourself. This can an important turning point. For those in very unbalanced situations or with a lot of stuff buried beneath the surface or those in situations that are simply not working anymore, this could be a major point at which to let go. Some relationships may be vastly different soon or will not make it.  I mean, you can't predict things with astrology,  you can only look at the energy. That's just the type of energy around this Full Moon. Libra energy is about compromising to make things work. Pluto energy shows that sometimes there will be no harmony, so you have to let go for there to eventually be harmony in your own life. Sometimes things just have to drastically change.

It isn't all intense and serious though, there's a saving grace with Jupiter in Sagittarius forming an exact trine with the Moon and sextile to the Sun. There's growth and expansion available. That's what it's all about! Change and growth are necessary aspects of life. For those that have pretty much been on the right track in life, this will probably be a good thing. Like I said though some may have to undergo bigger change. No matter the changes, Jupiter does provide a silver lining for everyone. A sense of optimism for the future regardless of what happens. And an opportunity of luck and growth through it all.

On Saturday, Venus in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus. This is yet another indicator that relationships need to change. Unexpected things could happen. Some shocking, some not so big of a deal. It's always different for everyone. Sometimes this just brings electric and exciting energy to relationships! Do things differently this day or just have fun. You never know what will happen when Uranus is involved. Sometimes it's overwhelming and not great for some people and for others it's super exciting.

Mercury in Scorpio will sextile Saturn in Capricorn on Sunday as well. This is good because regardless of what's going on you can think deeply and practically. You can hold conversations with people that dive deep, but yet with that practical edge that can be so helpful at a time where some could feel emotionally volatile.

This Full Moon is one that packs a punch that's for sure. It's good though because change is inevitable and we're just being led into a more balanced life. Where we are honoring ourselves and our relationships are happy. We're always making our world better. Sometimes by tweaking it. Sometimes we have to leave a whole world behind and enter a new one. Regardless of where you're at and the level of change you are going through, remember that there is a silver lining and it's all for the best. Basically in everyones life there will probably be one area where you've been trying to find some balance and harmony, one where change really needs to happen and one where you can find luck and growth if you balance out and change the areas that need it. Full Moon in Aries: Relationships vs. The 'Self'

Monday ( September 24th 2018), we will be having a Full Moon in Aries. This is a Full Moon that will bring up lots of issues around one-on-one relationships and our relationships to our own selves.

The Aries Moon is what brings up issues around the 'self' and independence. The Sun in Libra brings up relationships to others. How do our relationships to ourselves fit in with relationships to others? Have you given up part of yourself? Or is this a time when a compromise needs to be reached? When I say relationships, it can be any one-on-one relationship. For lots of people romantic relationships can be a focus at this time though. Venus is in Scorpio, where it will go retrograde at the beginning of October. With this energy we are being questioned about our deep desires in romantic relationships. We will have to review lots when the retrograde happens, but at the moment we need to see what we need to release and move through.

Chiron will be conjunct the Moon in Aries during the Full Moon. This means we may be dealing with wounds around ourselves and our identity. Whatever issues get brought up it's time to release them. Does this tie into relationships for you? Do you have wounds around your identity brought on by other people? Have you give up parts of yourself for others? You could have given parts up of yourself in very personal relationships or even more casual relationships or to fit into society. Mars in Aquarius is conjunct the South Node and is making a trine to the Sun during the Full Moon. This brings up all the energy of fitting in that we have been trying to move away from especially during this crazy summer we just had. Wounds around identity must be released now. Pleasing others on a personal or societal level at our own expense must be released.

Mercury will be close to the Sun during the Full Moon. It's been traveling rather close to the Sun. This means perhaps there's potential to have some important conversations. Just remember that doesn't mean to come to any agreements that sacrifice yourself. If you're having conversations it should be to help assert yourself, heal issues, find compromises, or to make decisions. Do not give up yourself no matter what though.

The biggest aspect happening with the Full Moon is an exact t-sqare with Saturn. This means it squares both the Sun and Moon. This can feel a bit depressive or restrictive. It's asking us to be serious though. To set boundaries. To do what we need to do in terms of these personal issues so that we can build the life we'd like to have. There's lots of tension between these planets, but we need to look to Saturn for solutions. That means we need to cut the crap, get serious, make decisions, take authority and be practical. Saturn is a very grounded and yet no nonsense energy.

~Overall this is a rather heavy feeling Full Moon. It's an important turning point though for our relationships and for our own selves. It's a time to release wounds. It can be a tense time, but one that helps us do what needs to be done and get down to business. This is a good time to work through issues before Venus retrograde rolls around. Then we'll get really deep with what we want and need. ~

Full Moon in Aries: Changing Relationship Dynamics

Tomorrow ( October 5th 2017 at 11:40 AM PDT) there will be a Full Moon in Aries. The energy is quite intense around this one, but hopefully in a positive way. It's been intense in general astrologically and this is just one more piece to the puzzle.

Full Moon's are an emotional time where things come to a culmination or harvest each month. The area of focus this month is relationships and relationship dynamics.

With a typical Full Moon in Aries (which of course means that the Sun is opposing in Libra) we have a tug of war between the 'me' and the 'we'. The Moon in Aries wants independence, individuality and to do what it wants. The Sun in Libra wants what's best for the relationship. It wants harmony and compromise. This tug of war was accentuated with the recent opposition of Uranus in Aries and Jupiter in Libra. On a personal level this opposition was between what Uranus in Aries wants which is independence, individuality, and having the freedom to do what it wants and Jupiter in Libra who wants to grow through partnership and have compromise. With this aspect we had a tug of war between these two things before this Full Moon.

We are trying to find the balance still between these two things, but the tug of war is coming to a kind of resolution. To start with, Mercury is also in Libra conjunct the Sun and is helping us communicate in a partnership sense and find compromise.

Where it really gets interesting is that the planet that rules Libra (Venus) and the planet that rules Aries (Mars) are exactly conjunct at the Full Moon. So a middle ground and a balance may be found as these planets are working together. This aspect is nice for relationships in general and can be kind of sexy ( planets that rule romance and sex drive conjunct doesn't sound so bad....). They're both in Virgo though, which is a very practical sign. This helps with some practical and grounded solutions.

Mars and Venus both made a trine to Pluto individually earlier in the week, which shows that things have been transforming on an individual and partnership level. These areas are undergoing a huge transformational shift, which is underlying all of this.

~Overall, relationship dynamics are growing and changing. We are trying to find a balance between our personal needs and desires and those of a partnership/partnerships in our lives. We are getting practical about this and there is a lot of communication about our thoughts and feelings. Pluto is totally transforming the nature of things, tearing structures up from the roots and changing things positively for the better. Pluto doesn't let things stay the same. Pluto is the planet of death after all and we are witnessing the death of an old way of being. Pluto also rules rebirth however and that is what is happening now on a personal and relationship level~
