Jupiter in Libra: Time for Healthy Relationships

Jupiter is currently retrograde in Libra, so I thought it was a good opportunity to talk about Jupiter's transit through Libra. Jupiter started going through Libra on September 9th 2016 and it will stay in Libra till October 10th 2017. Jupiter's transit through Libra puts a spotlight on growth and expansion in the realm of relationships.

Our relationships have been in the spotlight with this transit so that we can grow when it comes to relationships, whether we are in one or not. Overall, Jupiter in Libra wants us to build relationships that are healthy and involve harmony, peace, equality and compromise. It's time to figure out what a healthy relationship is all about!

Jupiter is about growth and expansion, but it's also know as the greater benefic and planet of luck. This means that there may be some good fortune around for the taking in the relationship realm as well.

Besides one-on-one relationships, fairness in general is emphasized. It's important to remember to do what's right and fair in all situations this year. Selfishness will only backfire. It's time to be diplomatic.  It's also good for those in the arts because of the Libra influence. There is an expansive artistic energy around for the taking.

A challenge we have been dealing with during this transit is Uranus opposite Jupiter. This aspect has been going on for awhile now. Uranus is in Aries and is pulling us towards exerting our independence, so there is a tug of war between independence and relationships. This has been a cause of a lot of relationship friction. It's just important to acknowledge this and try to find the balance.

One last thing to mention is that if you are a Libra or were born with Jupiter in Libra, this will probably be quite a profound year for you! You might find yourself dealing with a lot of growth and hopefully having a nice dose of luck as well.

~Overall this should be a nice transit that gives our relationships a much needed positive makeover. Remember to work towards harmony, compromise, equality and peace and this transit should be a relatively easy one for you~

Venus Retrograde

Venus the planet of love went retrograde on March 4th and will turn direct on April 15th. Venus Retrograde doesn't happen very often ( only about every 18 months-2 years) so it's always quite profound when it comes around.

Venus rules love, pleasure and beauty. These are things we are being forced to review. It's a time to review and reflect on our love lives. To review and reflect on what we love in our lives and what brings us pleasure etc. To reflect inwards and see our own inner beauty.

As with most retrogrades it's not a time to make any changes or decisions however. With regards to beauty it's not a time to make any big changes to your appearance. Wait to get that haircut, cosmetic surgery etc. In regards to relationships there are revelations to be had, but don't act on anything yet. It's time to reflect not to take action. Any decisions made now could change when Venus goes direct. Thinking may be too foggy and the nature of things may change when Venus goes direct. Breaking up or starting a new relationship is not recommended. Take some time to consider your options during this time.

For a large part of the retrograde Venus will be in Aries. While Venus is in Aries some of us may be seeking more independence in a relationship or may be thinking about ourselves. Careful of being a bit selfish. Aries is the first sign in the zodiac, so some people may be desiring a new beginning in terms of relationships. That could mean some people may want a new relationship or some people may want a new beginning within a relationship. Venus in Aries can act rashly and jump into things quickly, so watch out for that and remember to really think things through since this is supposed to be a time of reflection. Venus is in detriment in Aries so it struggles a bit in that placement. Just be more careful when Venus is in Aries.

For the last little bit of the retrograde Venus will be in Pisces. Venus is nicely placed in Pisces as it is exalted there. Venus in Pisces will be more compassionate and romantic. Venus in Pisces will tap us more into unconditional love . This might help us make better choices after the retrograde. After all the impulsiveness of Aries, we will be able to tap into our hearts and perhaps discover what real love means to us. Perhaps even coming to the profound realization that all the love we desire is already inside of us.

Something else to take note of is that people from the past could make a reappearance . That doesn't mean they are back for good though. They may only make a reappearance so that you can revisit certain lessons that need revisiting to reach a resolution if you need one. Just doesn't mean you should get back together. It's of course different for everyone though.

New people could come into your life. If they do this could be pretty karmic so pay attention to this. Be careful though and don't make big decisions till the retrograde is over. When Venus stations direct if you meet someone then that could be pretty special, so thats important to look at as well.

It's interesting to also take note that April 10th Mercury goes retrograde while Venus is still retrograde. This complicates things because I wouldn't recommend making decisions when Venus turns direct because by then Mercury will be retrograde. I would hold off all major decisions till May.

~I know Venus retrograde can be difficult. It's a very important time though and it will be interesting to see how everything ends up turning out once Venus and Mercury go direct! Take this time to connect to the love within your heart and to ponder what real love means to you.  ~

Full Moon in Virgo: You are Perfect in Spiritual Truth

On Sunday (March 12th 2017 at 7:54 AM PST) we will be having a Full Moon in Virgo. We will be dealing with the Pisces and Virgo axis during this Full Moon time of cultivation and release.

Full Moons are always a balancing act because they deal with two opposing energies. The Sun will be in Pisces this Full Moon highlighting our connection to our spirit's, our emotional watery hearts and our connection to the divine.

The Moon in Virgo on the other hand highlights our minds, which may bring about some heart vs mind issues. Our hearts may tell us one thing, while our minds tell us another . Virgo also deals with the material plane. Needing to balance our spiritual lives with our physical lives may be something that comes up as well because of this. Channeling our spiritual gifts to tangibly create something on the material plane is a great way to positively deal with those two opposing energies.

What we are being asked to let go of during this Full Moon are some issues that Virgo is concerned with such as perfectionism, any type of criticism (whether towards ourselves or others) and self-esteem issues. Look to Pisces energy to heal these issues. The Sun in Pisces wants to show us that at our core we are all innately perfect. Tapping into our spiritual core and not getting caught up in all the little nitpicky Virgo details is important right now. Meditate and do things that center you so as to not get caught up in anxiety. There are a lot of planets in Pisces supporting that energy and nothing to support the Moon is Virgo, so I will say that most people will probably decide to follow their hearts at this time whether it is rational or not. Get out of your crazy mind and tune in to the innate wisdom of the heart.

The one aspect being made to the Full Moon is a close conjunction of Chiron to the Sun, which of course means that it is opposite the Moon as well. This means that some wounds may come up for healing. It's time to release them. With Chiron in Pisces connection to the divine is of course the best medicine to heal those wounds.

~Lots of Pisces energy has been around for awhile, so with this Full Moon let's remember to connect to our spirit's and to remember that we are perfect in spiritual truth. We have the wisdom of our hearts and the divine to guide us through. ~

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Pisces

We just finished up an old Eclipse cycle at the last Full Moon with a Lunar Eclipse. Now we are starting off a new Eclipse cycle with energy that will last till August, with a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Pisces on Sunday ( February 26th 2017 6:58 AM). There are New Beginnings abound! Even though you may not necessarily see the effects right away.

New Moon's always kick off a new lunar cycle. It's when the Moon is at it's darkest point and it starts waxing towards full. This means the energy is ripe for manifesting new things into your life. With a Solar Eclipse this energy is just even stronger. The week leading up to this New Moon Solar Eclipse we may feel more prone to withdraw our energy a bit and maybe even to reflect on what we would like in our lives. This is because the moon is waning, so our energy is a little lower. We are preparing for some big new beginnings though.

The New Moon Solar Eclipse is in Pisces. The Piscean energy is much stronger than it would normally be however as Mercury, Neptune, Chiron and the South Node are all in Pisces as well. It's interesting to note that 3 other planets (Venus, Mars and Uranus) are all in Aries, which is Pisces neighboring sign. This means that the energy is very clustered. Take a look at the chart above to see what this looks like on paper. The left side shows the conglomeration of Pisces and Aries planets.

With all the Piscean energy we all may feel a little sensitive. Pisces has trouble with boundaries so if the energy of this New Moon Solar Eclipse really impacts you, you may pick up on others feelings etc. Be careful and try to protect your energy during this time. Pisces energy is great to get in touch with yourself on a spiritual level. This is a highly intuitive time. Meditation around this time is highly recommended! It would be the ideal way to get in touch with these energies. Creativity may also be enhanced because of the Piscean connection to imagination.

Neptune is the planet closest to the New Moon with a conjunction. Neptune is the planet associated with Pisces, so this aspect even further enhances Piscean energy. This influence makes us so energetically sensitive, our empathy is heightened, intuition strengthened,  the draw to the spiritual is stronger, and also me may feel more tired. Resting and meditating are important.

While the New Moon Solar Eclipse is going on, there is an exact conjunction of Mars and Uranus in Aries and they are both opposing Jupiter.

Uranus in Aries and Jupiter in Libra's opposition is something I never seem to stop talking about as it's cropping up all the time these days. They have been in exact opposition before and now they will be in exact opposition again since Jupiter went retrograde. The lessons have to do with a pull between wanting to break free and explore your individuality and the pull of growth and harmony within relationships. The pull between the 'me' and the 'you'.

Mars being conjunct Uranus is influencing the Uranus side of this opposition. People may be putting more energy on themselves and their individuality. Don't forget to keep your relationships fair however. This energy may make people want to charge ahead and start new things that are near and dear to their hearts. Mars with Uranus brings some erratic energy though, so careful of rushing into things without thinking about them first. That Jupiter opposition to Mars can just heighten impulsiveness as well, so be careful with that.

~Overall this is an exciting time ripe with positive change! If you've been waiting for something new to happen this is the time! ~

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo

On Friday (February 10th 2017) we are having a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo. This lunar event should prove to be both intense and exciting!

Eclipse's are always a bigger deal than your typical Full Moon. This will mark a time of change and turning points. The last Eclipses we had were in September so we are wrapping up an Eclipse season. At this Lunar Eclipse we may have a final releasing of issues we have been dealing with since September. Things are coming to completion now.

Since this is a Full Moon, we will be dealing with our typical Full Moon issues such as the heightened emotion and trouble sleeping etc. Full Moons are a time when we can reap a harvest for our efforts. At this time, we can especially reap a harvest from things we have been putting in motion since September. Once the Moon hits it's fullest point however, it starts to diminish, so of course that means if there is anything you need to let go of now would be a good time to decide to do so. It's a time of emotional release as well.

For this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse the Moon will be in Leo and the Sun will be in Aquarius. So we will be dealing with the issues of the Leo - Aquarius axis. With the Leo energy it's a good time to shine, to be in the limelight and to reap the harvest of your creative efforts. With the Aquarius energy it's important to also connect with those of like minds and to focus on giving to humanity. Finding balance between these energies right now is ideal as well. It's an interesting balance between 'me' (Leo) and 'them' (Aquarius). The Leo and Aquarius energy when nicely used together can help us stand in our power and dare to be our different and unique selves. We may notice at this time that some people get too much into their ego though, so it's important to be aware of being egotistical or causing drama. The Moon in Leo can have a tendency to make everybody dramatic.

Uranus and Jupiter will be making aspects to the Moon and Sun as well.  Jupiter and Uranus have been opposing each other for a little while now and we've been under the influence of this energy. These two planets have also influenced a few of the recent lunar phases. Jupiter in Libra opposing Uranus in Aries is all about the balance between being free to explore your own individuality and the need for growth, harmony and equality in personal relationships. This ties in nicely with the Leo and Aquarius themes. There's a lot of balancing that's going on right now. It may be a frustrating ride we've all been on, but at least these planets are working nicely with the Full Moon, so perhaps we will be able to reach a turning point.

Saturn is also involved with a sextile to the Sun and a trine to the Moon. This can help us with practical achievements at this time. It's also encouraging us to get all of our ducks in order, to get organized and to get done what we need to get done. In the midst of figuring out ourselves and our relationships, Saturn reminds us of our responsibilities.

~What an interesting lunar event this should turn out to be! There's a lot going on, but I think there should be some breakthroughs and some positive change. In the end, it's all really a balancing act.~
