New Moon in Scorpio: Are You Ready For Big Shifts in Your Life?

Tomorrow, November 7th 2018, we have a New Moon in Scorpio! This is an exciting time full of big shifts. This doesn't just signify a new beginning of a new month, we are starting a new Jupiter year long cycle the day after and the day before we are starting a new 18 month long nodal transit. This is major shift time! 

New Moon's are a time to plant seeds and represent a time of new beginnings. This New Moon is taking place in Scorpio. Scorpio is a deep, powerful and transformational sign. This New Moon is a sign of a rebirth and a radical transformation. One of the other planetary shifts is Jupiter moving out of Scorpio. We just completed a year long deep scorpionic cycle. Also, Venus recently finished the part of it's retrograde that was in Scorpio. We have gone through a lot of scorpionic growth and learning. Gotten in touch with our deepest truths, our deep desires etc. Cleared out some of the old. Now that those cycles are over we get to rise like phoenixes and come out of our cocoons. This marks a time of rising into a new beginning, a rebirth. Very powerful! 

Besides the fact that Jupiter changes signs the day after the New Moon, we have two shifts the day before. The Nodes start a new 18 month cycle with the North Node in Cancer and the South Node in Capricorn. We are now on a new evolutionary karmic path as a collective. That's a big shift! I'll talk more about that specific Nodal shift in a different blog post. The second shift is that Uranus retrogrades back into Aries. The shift of Uranus going back into a fire sign could potentially be erratic or explosive, so watch out for some weird feeling energy on the 6th. 

Uranus will be at 29 degrees Aries and the Nodes at 29 degrees Cancer and Capricorn. This forms a t-square. They were actually already in one before they all moved as well. There are changes happening, so that we can be on the right karmic path! This 29th degree is so significant and not only is Uranus and the Nodes there, but Jupiter too! This marks a turning point! Very powerful! Venus is loosely opposite Uranus and that would create a sort of grand cardinal cross. Venus is finishing out it's retrograde in Libra at this time as well. This sort of grand fixed cross, shows a balancing out of individual needs vs harmonious relationships. The physical world vs the emotional. There are changes taking place in our individuality. We are discovering what we want in relationships and how to have harmonious ones. We are on a new evolutionary path. We are getting more in touch with our feelings, with nurturing energy, with compassion and we are going to be figuring out what true emotional security means. Besides the grand cross figuration, Jupiter is also trine the North Node at this time. All this energy is working together for these big shifts! 

There's two aspects to the New Moon that aren't quite exact, but still present. There is a trine with Neptune and a sextile with Pluto. The sextile with Pluto just adds to the transformative quality to this New Moon. Pluto is in Capricorn which is an earth sign. We are not only transforming on a soul level, but these transformations are rippling out into the structures in our outer lives. They are transforming as a result of our inner rebirth and transformation. The trine to Neptune on the other hand reminds us to connect spiritually. To know and trust that we are being divinely guided. To trust in your dreams as well.

Full Moon in Taurus: Are You Ready For Major Transformation?

Tomorrow, October 24th 2018 at 9:45 AM, we are having a Full Moon in Taurus. What a Full Moon it will be! It's activating a huge grand fixed cross. This is intense and powerful. There's so much going on! 

Full Moon's in general mark a time of harvest and completion and a letting go so that we can enter a new period and new energy. Moon phases are always based on where the Sun and Moon are in relation to each other. When the Moon is full, the Moon and Sun are opposite each other in opposing signs. Both the energy of the Sun and the Moon are equally important. This time we're dealing with the Moon in Taurus and the Sun in Scorpio. 

♏ Sun in Scorpio ♏

All this Scorpio energy has been getting us in touch with the depths of who we are, bringing up deep desires and making us face the shadows. It's very powerful and transformational. This Full Moon is a important point to finally release that which doesn't serve you; to let yourself yourself transform. It's the end of the old and time for the birth of the new. Even without without discussing the other energies this is a huge part of this time. The bottom line, so to speak, is transformation. A complete transformation involving letting the old die out and birthing the new. Scorpio does after all rule the cycles of life. There are times to let go, so that the new can come in. 

A big influence with the Scorpio part of the Full Moon is that Venus retrograde is conjunct the Sun. They are 3 degrees apart, but moving towards alignment with each other. Love is a big part of this Full Moon. You may be much closer to knowing what you want relationship wise. This can be more or less major depending on where you stand relationship wise. It's time to completely let go of the old relationships that no longer serve you or old patterns that no longer serve you. We need to make room for the new because if you've been doing the work, it's closer than ever. Another huge and wonderful part of this aspect is that we're closer to self love, to realizing the wonder of who we are. realizing our worth and all the wonderful things we deserve. This is powerful, let yourself align with this energy! This is a very magical element of everything that's been going on. 

♉ Moon in Taurus  ♉

Now Taurus is known for being the most stubborn of the fixed signs. It's the fixed earth sign after all. It's wonderful for stability and building foundations. However, there's nothing stable to this time, but that's ok! In fact it can be wildly exciting! After all Uranus is the planet that's conjunct the Moon during the Full Moon. Stop being stubborn, stop holding on, it's time for change! Change is here! Transformation is here. It's time to build new foundations. The universe is giving us a shake. The more you go with it, the more exciting it will be. If your life has been stagnant get prepared! Taurus is the sign that Venus rules, so Venus is just woven throughout lots of this energy! 

♌ The Nodes ♒

Ok, so a cross is made of 4 points. One point is the Sun and Venus in Scorpio. Opposite from that we have the Moon and Uranus in Taurus. Then to make up the other part of the cross we have the North Node in Leo on one side and the South Node in Aquarius on the other. The Nodes are square the Scorpio planets and the Taurus planets and that's what our grand fixed cross consists of. It's almost the end of the time of the North Node in Leo and the South Node in Aquarius. It's important we remember their lesson as we go through these big transformations and changes. Remember to never give up your authenticity and who you really are. Remember to keep sharing that with the world. There may be some tension with this, but it's so important to bring this energy forward with us. With Venus Retrograde going on, it's especially important that we don't allow our authenticity to be diminished in relationships. Don't be in relationships that drain your light, authenticity, or anything that's yours. We need to be complete people on our own now and show up in relationships that way. Also, you should be like that when you're sharing with the world as well. 

✨ Overall 🌕

This is quite an intense Full Moon, but so powerful! This is ultimately bringing immense transformation and change. This can only help to completely solidify our dedication to ourselves and our authenticity, bringing us deeper in self love, aligned with our desires and to help bring the love and relationships that are right for us into our lives. 

Venus Retrograde in Scorpio and Libra

Venus went retrograde at 10 degrees Scorpio yesterday! It will be retrograde for 40 days. This will be a profound time of reflection for relationships and for feminine energy. 

Venus will spend the rest of October going backwards through Scorpio. It will also spend time retrograde in Libra in the first half of November. The retrograde starts at 10 degrees Scorpio and ends at 25 degrees Libra. Mid November it will turn direct again. It will be in shadow however till mid December. It will be in Scorpio till the end of the year. 

From now till mid November we'll be turning within with the Venus energy and learning all sorts of things. From mid November through mid December we'll be moving forward with Venus energy again, but putting into action perhaps what we had learned during the Retrograde. Weirdly enough, the day after Venus turns direct, Mercury will go retrograde. When Venus moves forward we will be implementing what we learned, but we will also have to turn within and reflect in a different way. Midway through December we will be moving into completely new Venus territory, just still in Scorpio. August through till the end of 2018 we will only have dealt with Libra and Scorpio Venus energy. That's pretty crazy. We really need to hone in on those energies however. 

Now that I have laid out the technicalities, let's get into what it all means! 

♡Venus Retrograde in General♡

So! Venus Retrograde! What's it all about? Truly the biggest part of a Venus Retrograde is that we're being forced to reflect on love in our lives. Yes, romantic relationships are the biggest area highlighted during a Venus Retrograde. We are being asked to reflect on this area to see what it is we really want. This can impact you whether you are coupled up or single. Any type of situation. There can also be some reflection on self love as well. Venus has to do with pleasure in our lives, so we can also question whether our lives in general are pleasurable; whether we love our lives. There can also be a bit of financial reflection as well. Questioning where you are investing your resources. Another big area that Venus retrograde brings up is divine feminine energy. It's undergoing reflection now. With Mars retrograde during the summer, the masculine energy got reflected on and now the feminine. This is pretty powerful. All these issues of masculine energy and now feminine energy have been and will be highlighted. Now it's time to dig deep and reflect on feminine energies. Yes, this is particularly powerful if you are a woman, but keep in mind that it affects everyone and is more about energy than gender. 

♏Venus in Scorpio♏

Venus will be going back through Scorpio initially, starting at 10 degrees. This is a very deep and intense placement. We'll be going down to the underworld, down to the depths, to figure out what our souls truly desire and need. This will help show us (if we're willing to let it) the truth of our desires. Going through this transit, nothing less than what we truly desire will do anymore. This will crack us open to the desires that we have shoved down or set aside for a rainy day. When it comes to love and romantic relationships what is is that you truly want? Perhaps you've been thinking you can't have it or it's too much. Well that's not true and mediocre lives won't do anymore! If you're single you probably have a lot to consider. If you're partnered up this could be different, perhaps there's just a couple things brought up from the depths that you may want that you should discuss with your partner. If you're partnered up, how intense this will be will depend on how things have been going between you two. Jupiter is at the end of it's year in Scorpio as this is going on and both these planets want us to uncover what we're hiding in the depths of ourselves. They want to crack us open so that we can live our lives completely aligned with our soul's desires. Wants us to clear out what we've been holding on to in the depths. Wants us to allow passion to fill every cell of our being and to affect our lives. It's time to live passionate, soul fulfilling lives. This can also be tremendously powerful for self love on a deep level. 

♎Venus in Libra ♎

The Scorpio portion of the retrograde will be where we do a lot of the deep work and really bring to the surface our true desires. After that, when Venus goes back into Libra we will be working on how to best compromise and have relationships that are more balanced and harmonious. The Scorpio portion of the retrograde will be more emotional, where as the Libra portion will be more mental as Libra is an air sign. Venus has a difficult time in Scorpio, but one of the signs it rules is Libra, so it's strong there. In Scorpio we will be figuring out what we really want and in Libra we will be figuring out how that works in the dynamics of relationships. 

💕What to Expect During a Venus Retrograde 💖

Besides the major theme of reflecting on relationships and also perhaps reflecting on themes of self love, feminine energy/femininity and maybe even finances, what can we expect? Well unlike Mercury or Mars retrograde, you shouldn't feel like your whole life slows down, so that's good. Relationships are really where things could get interesting. If you are looking to break up with someone or start something new, tread carefully. This doesn't mean you can't, but you should be very discerning. You may think about people from the past as you sort through your love life and sometimes people from the past can pop up. Every situation is different, but again use discernment. A lot of the time these things crop up to show you certain things you need to look at. I have heard of karmic connections happening at this time, but again be careful. Perhaps that could happen, but I would be careful about really committing and being sure about something till the retrograde is over. I think more karmic connections will be likely to happen when Venus starts moving forward. Sometimes new people show up, but it's only to show you something, not something to take seriously. Basically, everyone will be in different scenarios. You will be shown what you need to look at. You will have experiences you're meant to have. I can't give you yes or no answers on what to do, but I am just laying out all the possibilities so you can be discerning, see what comes your way with clarity and make decisions from your heart. 

✨This is a powerful time! Over the summer with the retrogrades and eclipses we really were forced to reflect on our authenticity. Really were pushed to step into our authentic selves and lives. Now with Venus retrograde, it's like we're taking that further and really figuring out how to have the relationships we truly desire. It's kind of like we're having a life makeover., so that we can live lives that are totally in alignment with us. Also, during the summer we had to look at masculine energy and now we're looking at feminine energy.. Everything is really getting balanced and realigned. Things may seem frustrating with so many retrogrades, but this will be so beneficial to us in the long run if we do the work and reflecting that we need to. Of course, this impacts everyone differently, so if you'd like a transit reading, I'm always here to help you figure out where this is affecting you. If you have any planets from 25 degrees Libra-10 degrees Scorpio, this may be particularly powerful for you. Venus also was retrograde around this area 8 years ago, it's interesting to reflect and see what was going on in your life then? It may be worth looking at. Full Moon in Aries: Relationships vs. The 'Self'

Monday ( September 24th 2018), we will be having a Full Moon in Aries. This is a Full Moon that will bring up lots of issues around one-on-one relationships and our relationships to our own selves. 

The Aries Moon is what brings up issues around the 'self' and independence. The Sun in Libra brings up relationships to others. How do our relationships to ourselves fit in with relationships to others? Have you given up part of yourself? Or is this a time when a compromise needs to be reached? When I say relationships, it can be any one-on-one relationship. For lots of people romantic relationships can be a focus at this time though. Venus is in Scorpio, where it will go retrograde at the beginning of October. With this energy we are being questioned about our deep desires in romantic relationships. We will have to review lots when the retrograde happens, but at the moment we need to see what we need to release and move through. 

Chiron will be conjunct the Moon in Aries during the Full Moon. This means we may be dealing with wounds around ourselves and our identity. Whatever issues get brought up it's time to release them. Does this tie into relationships for you? Do you have wounds around your identity brought on by other people? Have you give up parts of yourself for others? You could have given parts up of yourself in very personal relationships or even more casual relationships or to fit into society. Mars in Aquarius is conjunct the South Node and is making a trine to the Sun during the Full Moon. This brings up all the energy of fitting in that we have been trying to move away from especially during this crazy summer we just had. Wounds around identity must be released now. Pleasing others on a personal or societal level at our own expense must be released. 

Mercury will be close to the Sun during the Full Moon. It's been traveling rather close to the Sun. This means perhaps there's potential to have some important conversations. Just remember that doesn't mean to come to any agreements that sacrifice yourself. If you're having conversations it should be to help assert yourself, heal issues, find compromises, or to make decisions. Do not give up yourself no matter what though. 

The biggest aspect happening with the Full Moon is an exact t-sqare with Saturn. This means it squares both the Sun and Moon. This can feel a bit depressive or restrictive. It's asking us to be serious though. To set boundaries. To do what we need to do in terms of these personal issues so that we can build the life we'd like to have. There's lots of tension between these planets, but we need to look to Saturn for solutions. That means we need to cut the crap, get serious, make decisions, take authority and be practical. Saturn is a very grounded and yet no nonsense energy. 

~Overall this is a rather heavy feeling Full Moon. It's an important turning point though for our relationships and for our own selves. It's a time to release wounds. It can be a tense time, but one that helps us do what needs to be done and get down to business. This is a good time to work through issues before Venus retrograde rolls around. Then we'll get really deep with what we want and need. ~

New Moon in Virgo: New Beginnings in Our Physical/Material lives

On Sunday (September 9th 2018 at 11:01 AM) we're having a New Moon in Virgo! New Moon's are always exciting times where we get to plant seeds for new beginnings. We were in such retrograde filled energy throughout the summer, that's its nice that things are slowly picking up the pace. 

I've been talking about how the earth energy has been highlighted a lot lately. Our physical/material lives have been center stage. Virgo is an earth sign, so this New Moon adds to that energy. This is a great time to think of things you would like to manifest in your material/physical world. This is a great time to start new practical ventures and projects, a great time to get organized, to start a new routine or to make a greater commitment to your health. This New Moon heralds potential new things in our physical/material lives. 

Now let's talk about the aspects to the New Moon. To start off we have Neptune opposing the New Moon. This may add a bit of confusion to what we want to manifest. Perhaps we aren't quite exactly sure what we want. This opposite pull from Neptune may also make it seem best to just escape, get lost in fantasy land instead of manifesting what we'd like in this human world. The best way to balance this energy is to utilize the highest octave of Neptune, the spiritual dimension of life. Balancing your spiritual side, with your earthy human side. To bring the dreams of your spirit and manifest it into reality. To trust that the universe will bring you what you need in life. That it will set you on the right path. Time to connect to that energy. 

The New Moon is also sextile Jupiter in Scorpio and trine Pluto in Capricorn. (Jupiter and Pluto are also sextile each other) This is some great energy for growth and transformation. Jupiter in Scorpio can help us grow into a life that is aligned with our deepest desires. What do you desire? What have you been pushing down into the depths of your being that would truly satisfy you if you could have it. Desire causes us strife when we think it's something outside of us that we don't have. If we acknowledge that we have everything we desire already, if we get into that mindset, it will be easier for us to manifest those desires into our everyday lives now. The trine to Pluto shows lots of transformation in the structures of our physical lives. Changes are afoot! We have been in a holding pattern all summer. It's like we were in an airport waiting for our flight the whole time and now it's finally here! It's time for take off! 

The day of the New Moon, Venus moves into Scorpio. This is an intense placement for Scorpio. It will go retrograde in this sign in about a month, so the energy of Venus in Scorpio is one we will have for awhile. This is all about having a life and relationships that are deeply fulfilling on a soul level, filled with passion. We are awakening more and more into what we truly desire. Venus makes some tough aspects however as it moves through the beginning degrees of Scorpio.The first aspect is makes  is an inconjunct to Chiron in Aries. Chiron in Aries is retrograde helping us uncover our wounds around identity so that we can move past them. This inner drive to heal our identities is at odds with the passionate romantic Venus in Scorpio at the moment. 

~ Overall this is a wonderful time of new beginnings. Our physical/material lives are growing, expanding, transforming and falling into place. They are becoming aligned with our true desires. ~
