New Moon in Gemini: Gathering New Information

Tomorrow morning we are having a New Moon in Gemini! There is so much energy in Gemini currently that this will just be adding to. Let's dive into what it all means.

With a New Moon in Gemini we are getting a refresh. A fresh start when it comes to gathering information and communication. This energy is so important because the North Node is in Gemini. In fact, this could have been an Eclipse if the New Moon was further along in degrees. For now, we're just building up to that though. Eclipses will be coming soon! Still though, with the South Node in Sagittarius, we have to move away from assuming we know the truth and meaning of it all. Move away from self-righteousness. With the North Node in Gemini, we need to move towards sharing with others to see their points of view and gather up different information, ideas, concepts etc. This New Moon is really an entrance into that energy. It's time to start from a clean slate. Ditch the idea that you know it all. Approach life with a child's mind. See what there is to find.

The New Moon is trine Saturn in Aquarius, which is helpful. We can be practical about the place we're in. Some grounding. Saturn in Aquarius is about building new structures. A way we've never seen before. Gathering this new information will help us build these new structures. The structures are not like what we've seen before, so our old truths won't apply either. We're building the new.

There is an element of confusion however. Venus Retrograde in Gemini is conjunct Mercury in Gemini and they're both square Neptune in Pisces. Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and it's in a confused position. Even more reason why we need to explore info. It seems like nothing's clear. There might be a foggy feeling. With Neptune it's important to tap into your intuition and go with the flow. The info may be more intuitive rather than logical perhaps.

With Venus Retrograde, we've been trying to gather info and figure things out around love, money and creative projects in order to make decisions when it's over (end of June). With this New Moon though, things may feel particularly foggy around these areas. This new info we're gathering here may be more intuition based again. There's a need to go with the flow and not force things to happen. This is new territory. So approach it as such. Take in the info you get, but don't be frustrated if things look cloudy. Trust your gut. Flow with it all.

The energy has shifted so much honestly. We're no longer in that period of massive shifts of the structures of our lives. Now a lot has changed and we're left trying to mentally process it now. Ditch thinking you know the truth. Explore anew. Gain fresh new perspectives.

New Moon in Taurus: On the Precipice of Change

Tomorrow night we are having a New Moon in Taurus. Taurus is an earth sign, so how appropriate that it's Earth Day as well!

We have been through so much lately, life has been weird and the astrology harsh. This New Moon offers an energy of reset. A fresh energy for the month ahead. It's time to find new stability with where you're at. To build new foundations. To plant new seeds. It's time to have a fresh start where you enjoy life and feel good about yourself. Taurus is about sensuality; the senses. Taking things a bit slowly in a way and enjoying them. It's about value and self-worth. So for this re-fresh besides finding new stability and building new foundations, find new ways to feel good. Decide to start a new cycle of greater self-worth. It could be a new cycle where your values are different and new.

This New Moon is caught between two major aspects. The first is that it's moving away from a square with Saturn in Aquarius that the Sun had formed exact a couple days prior and moving towards a conjunction with Uranus the Sun will make in a few days. We're moving away from restriction and into change. The sense of restriction could still feel present. Reality and structures are different with Saturn in Aquarius. You may have recently felt quite constrained by them. Yet, you must find new stability, foundations, self-worth and just a sense of feeling good within these circumstances because things are about to change! Perhaps quite unexpectedly with the conjunction to Uranus approaching. Things could feel restricted or stagnant, but they most definitely are not and the winds of change shall be blowing through.

Full Moon in Libra: Time for Balance amongst Intense Change

I'm sitting here writing this right as the Moon reaches it's fullest point. It's been crazy in the cosmos lately, which is reflecting in our lives at the moment. As above, so below so they say. Reality is changing. The structures of society are changing. We're at a major moment of birthing a new way. In the midst of all this, now we have the Full Moon. It's time to release. To release some pressure and this sure does feel like a pressure cooker we're in at the moment. In particular it's a time to release so that we can find balance.

With the Sun in Aries and Moon in Libra, this Full Moon places focus on our relationships. It's time to find some balance here. On one hand we have the Moon in Libra conjunct asteroid Juno in Libra. This is about one-on-one relationships. This could be about any relationships, but of course romantic comes about strongly as well. On one hand there's partly a desire to connect here. With the Juno aspect this can be pretty serious too. Juno is about committed relationships. Partnership. Marriage. This time could on one hand be bringing people closer together. Uniting in partnership.

The other side of this though is the Aries energy, which is all about the self and independence. There's  a balancing out of the scales happening here between self and others. I wouldn't disconnect entirely from others, but I also would make sure you're giving enough energy to yourself. This Full Moon is about having both. Releasing anything keeping this balance from happening. This makes a lot of sense if we look at the times we are living in because some people live alone and maybe need to remember connection and some live with people and maybe need to give more energy to themselves. You can have both. Really getting in tune with yourself right now, yet really growing closer in partnership with those around you. For some this could be big relationship turning points as well.

At the time of the Full Moon we have a tense, electric aspect between Mars in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus. This time can bring about unexpected events or change. It also though carries so much restlessness, angst, rebelliousness and anxiety. Our nervous systems may be on overdrive. There's tension that needs an outlet. Change is here and we must accept it. There's such a drive to break free and change, but from changes that have already happened if that makes sense. Accept the change. It won't help to try to rebel from change.

The other big aspect going on at the time of the Full Moon is Mercury in Pisces sextile Jupiter in Capricorn. Our minds can start to think more optimistically about everything that's going on perhaps. We can see the bigger picture. With Mercury in Pisces though we can't really be too practical, we must go with the flow. Tap into our intuition. Follow our feelings. Practical clear thinking has not really been present for awhile because Mercury has had such a long stay in Pisces. We gotta have some trust and faith with this aspect. Optimism. Tune into what we truly 'feel' is going on. This could also be a time of good news in some respects or important communications.

This is a tense time, but just remember to find balance in your relationships, to unite in partnership with who you love or those you love if you're not in a romantic relationship, to make sure your needs are met and you have time for yourself as well. Remember to accept change as radical as it may seem. To see the bigger picture and remain optimistic. Wishing you all the best everyone!

Saturn in Aquarius

A shift of importance has happened in the cosmos, which is that Saturn has entered Aquarius. It hasn't been in Aquarius since the beginning of 1994. Some of us haven't seen it here for awhile, some not at all. For some not since they were born (like me, hello Saturn Return!) Saturn will be giving us a peek into what it's like in Aquarius, but it will retrograde back into Capricorn in July though the 1st half of December. Then later in December it will be there to stay till March 2023.

Saturn has been in it's ruling sign of Capricorn. A very serious, structured, practical placement. Saturn there went through a lot. It met up with Pluto in January, something that hadn't happened for 500 years. This was all about old structures falling away. Traditions falling away and building the new. I totally believe what we're currently going through is part of this. Saturn will need to revisit some of this later on. A check up, so to speak to see how that's all doing. Now Saturn in Aquarius is starting to show us a new way. Aquarius is out of the box energy. It's futuristic. It's free. It's time to step into a new way of doing things. New structures. The future is now. Saturn in Capricorn was restricted and we could have felt that in some aspect of our lives, but we are being shown that we need to have a new way of doing things. The old ways were restrictive and need to go. Saturn and Aquarius are an interesting combo because it's about structure, yet freedom. Structures that promote greater freedom. Typical control and structure won't work well anymore. This is a placement where we may not like being told what to do. This is a placement that asks us what kind of structures are the best for humanity, for everyone, the community, the planet etc. Aquarius is about caring for it all. Our structures will have to take this into account now. We're building new structures that are more supportive.

People are not quite sure when the Age of Aquarius starts, but we are around it at least. If it's not already here, we're entering it. Basically that will be a new 2,000 year cycle. It means that in the spring (in the northern hemisphere) the Sun when it enters Aries will align with the constellation of Aquarius. It's hard to tell whether it's in Pisces still or Aquarius now, but regardless of this Saturn in Aquarius is helping us usher in this new age. This age that's about equality and caring for everyone. The age of technology as well. Yet it can also be emotionally detached, so we must look out for that. This time period of social distancing is so funny cause it's so Saturn in Aquarius. We're connecting to each other more in a way using technology, but we're detached. Now this works during this virus, but I would be really careful of getting too detached overall though now. Everyone talks about the benefits of the Age of Aquarius without talking about how detached we could all get from each other however.

Saturn actually was the original ruler of Aquarius, so it is a strong placement, but when Uranus was discovered, it became the ruler of Aquarius. Think of Uranus as an important part of this transit. Shakeups, change and chaos are an important part of restructuring right now. Uranus will be Taurus for the whole of Saturn's transit through Aquarius. Taurus represents a stable foundation and with this transit all of our foundations are being shaken up. Some things especially changing can be finances, food, agriculture and the earth. These changes may be part of this new structure with Uranus in Taurus ruling Saturn in Aquarius.

~It's exciting to see Saturn entering a new sign and this one looks promising in these current times. Let's see how it all plays out! ~

New Moon in Aries: Time for a Refresh

In the wee small hours this morning we have a New Moon in Aries! Despite the strange times there is a refresh energy in the universe. This is the New Moon that coincides with the beginning of spring. This is fertile energy to utilize despite the circumstances.

Aries is the sign that is about new beginnings and initiation. Use this time to initiate something new. Think of it all as a fresh clean slate. Aries has a lot to do with the 'self' as well. Independence. Identity. Now that everyone has more time to themselves they can explore their identity.

This New Moon will be conjunct Chiron and in close conjunction with Black Moon Lilith as well. Chiron and Black Moon Lilith have really been bringing up wounds, shadows and fears for awhile now on both a personal and collective level. This New Moon can help us heal. Shine light on these wounds and shadows. Fears. Perhaps showing us the bogeyman isn't what we think it is. Bringing light to the darkness. This is a time of healing and transmutation.

The New Moon is square the Nodes too. We are at a crossroads. A point of tension. The old way, the new way, what will we choose? Will we choose the old structures, the old ways of doing things? Choosing security over feeling? Or will we choose to follow our hearts this time around? Then the wounds and fears have us torn and undecided. This New Moon is here to transmute these wounds and fears. To let us start fresh and choose a better way. Things are falling apart. It's best to let the old ways go. Forge a new path. A path based on following your heart completely. Perhaps even on a collective level this is what we're doing.

There's also a semi-sextile aspect from the New Moon to Uranus in Taurus. Uranus keeps showing up strong a lot lately! We're getting a little reminder that it's time to do things differently. Don't look to old solutions, look to the new! Shakeups are necessary now. Uranus rules chaos. Chaos is necessary though sometimes. To cause complete disorder, so that there can be new order able to come together. So tap into zany, chaotic Uranus. Don't get sucked into crazy energy, embrace the different, the new. Allow the earthquake to shake it all up.

~This is a crazy time we're living in, but it's time for the new. Allow the cosmic reshuffling to occur. Choose the new path. Happy New Moon everyone ~

Full Moon in Virgo: Time to Go with the Flow, Tune Into Your Dreams and Get in Touch With the Magic of Life

Mercury is finally out of it's retrograde right in time for a Full Moon in Virgo! Things are definitely reaching a turning point in our lives.

With Mercury direct we're about to finally have more clarity. We've dealt with issues, reflected, maybe dealt with some of the past, but still probably felt like we were in a fog. Now as Mercury picks up the pace things start to make more sense. The pieces may be coming together. The fog will start to be clearing. Now we can move forward more. With more clarity. Now we can make decisions. Mercury is going direct in Aquarius where it will be briefly before moving back through Pisces. In Aquarius we can start to see solutions perhaps we didn't see earlier. Unique perspectives. Then as it moves back through Pisces as you go with the flow things can be revealed to you. In fact going with the flow and tuning in to all that is, is so important right now as during the Full Moon, the Sun, which forms half of the Full Moon energy is coming off of a conjunction with Neptune. This is where we should be focused as we move forward. We should be in a 'go with the flow' state. Trusting when we go with that more, we will be led in the right direction. It's a time to tap into your intuition. It's a time to realize the infinite potential. That you are not limited. It's time to tap into the dreams, your imagination, the magic of life. The romance of it all. Sure it's a fantastical type energy, but this is the energy we need to flow with. It's been intense lately in the cosmos, but now it's time to utilize what we have learned and processed to flow forwards and to dream big. Flow towards your dreams, the romance, the beauty. Remember your infinite potential.

The Moon in Virgo is more of what we are releasing. The nitpicky ness, the perfection, the criticism. Don't worry about the details, don't think so small. Don't criticize the journey. It's time to release all that. Have your aha moments and just go with the flow. Think of the infinite possibilities, not all the little things that could go wrong. Sure there's a huge earth focus right now in the cosmos, so yes we are focused on the reality and shaping that, but this Full Moon is helping us release too much focus there. We shouldn't get too limited there. Time to dream. The Full Moon in Virgo is also just very purifying. Whatever you need to be purified this is the time for it. Can be good to get more healthy physically and all that as well.

At the same time as the Full Moon, Venus in Taurus will be making positive aspects to the Nodes. It's a great time to get in proper alignment in terms of love and also what you love. There's a sensual energy of allowing yourself to enjoy life and it's pleasures. This is an earthy energy, but not a boring restricted one, it's one that reminds us that our reality should be one we enjoy filled with love and beauty. With the North Node in Cancer, we must tune into our hearts when it comes to love and projects. This Venus aspect is really beautiful.

Honestly before looking at the chart for this Full Moon I expected to see something more intense, but this energy is beautiful if utilized honestly. We have more clarity, communication and movement forward. We are being urged to let go of nitpicking and focusing small. To go with the flow and open up to the infinite, romance, dreams, etc. To follow our hearts and enjoy life. Hey, not so bad a prescription from the universe! Go and experience that beautiful life. Quit looking at the details and worrying.

New Moon in Pisces During a Mercury Retrograde in Pisces

We're a week into a 3 week Mercury Retrograde in Pisces and lo and behold we have a New Moon in Pisces today! A fresh start in the midst of reflecting.

Pisces is a sign that is all about going with the flow. About tuning into your spirit, all that is, the universe and your intuition. It's about fantasy, ideals and imagination. It's about the infinite and infinite possibility. It's definitely a time to dream of what you would like in your life. Don't limit yourself. The possibilities are endless. Yet, it's a time where you should't try to control too much. See where life takes you. See how it unfolds. With the retrograde your mind may seem out to lunch, and while you may have to work extra hard to maintain your daily responsibilities, the intuitive flow state you find yourself in, the emotional connection to everything and the sense of tripping out, could be really interesting. What you need could be found within those spaces. There is already a sense of 'newness' within the retrograde. Although still there may be important things to think about. Take a look at territory you're revisiting. What important insights and discussions come up. Usually Mercury Retrograde happens when a big important decision needs to get made or a big life change is about to happen. Of course it can bring with it the annoyance of technology or appliances going on the fritz. Take your time doing things as it's easy to overlook things. Also, people from the past could come up. A lot of the time this doesn't mean anything, so just be discerning.

Mars in Capricorn is exactly sextile the New Moon, which is really nice because it brings some grounding energy to the rest of it. There's a lot of spacey, dreamy, in another dimension sort of energy, but yet there's quite an emphasis on Capricorn, giving us an anchor. Grounding down our dreams in reality. Mars in Capricorn in general reminds us that just because it's a retrograde we can't stop making our way up the mountain so to speak. Keep moving towards your goals as you discover what the retrograde has to show you. Mars in sextile to the New Moon just emphasizes this. There's a lot of energy. There's propulsion forward. It's a balance between flow and not just sitting still. With this energy, don't decide to just sleep your life away for three weeks, keep going! Make shit happen, just in an in tune, non forceful manner.

The day before the New Moon, the Sun was trine Uranus in Taurus, which still impacts the New Moon. There's lots of change and stimulation about. The unexpected. You certainly can't stay stuck in a rut. Mars was making this aspect earlier this week as well, so there's lots of this energy about. Elements of surprise, the unexpected. Changes. Urges to keep changing. An exciting, stimulating quality. It's a retrograde, but the energy certainly isn't dull.

Then the Sun a couple days after the New Moon will move into a trine with the North Node in Cancer. This energy impacts the New Moon too. We're moving into big destiny points. We're being nudged in the right direction. All of that being water energy, we're being nudged in a direction that we keep being nudged in, that of following our hearts and emotions. Let them be your guide. Like I said the mental energy is out to lunch at the moment, which is probably good because so often that energy doesn't help us out. So tap into those darn feelings! Open up your heart. Heart expansion, heart opening and heart awakening have been the biggest themes since the North Node entered Cancer. This is another big moment along that path.

Last aspect I want to talk about today is not one to the New Moon itself, but happening at the same time. That is, Venus in Aries square Jupiter in Capricorn. There can be some growing pains with relationships or even projects or money maybe. They are the most beneficial and lucky planets though, so this isn't too tense of an aspect. Venus in Aries wants new beginnings in relationships. It wants to begin new projects. Jupiter in Capricorn is about growth, but not in a crazy, fast impulsive way. It's more slow and methodical. Perhaps it's about realizing that things can move forward and things can grow, but be smart in the process. The worst thing that people usually do with Venus square Jupiter is over indulge or overspend, so just be careful of that.

It's an interesting time because there's actually a lot of new energy and new things pushing forward, just during a retrograde where we are also forced to reflect on some things as well. We're moving forward now and preparing to move forward more in the near future. It's a time to move forward, but in a go with the flow type state though too.

Full Moon in Leo: Authenticity, Commitment, Love, Imperfections, the Shadow Side, Discomfort and Speaking From the Heart in One Big Mashup of Energy

The Full Moon in Leo is here, it's just happening exact as I type. There's a lot going on with this one, but I really had to look closely and involve some lesser known astrology in order to see all that.

Let's start with the basics though. A Full Moon in Leo means the Moon is in Leo opposite the Sun in Aquarius. This is a classic aspect of making sure you're expressing yourself and doing what makes your heart sing instead of being caught up in the crowd or what other people think you should do. It's time to get into Leo energy! Express yourself dramatically. Unapologetically. Shine your light. Show your true essence. Play. Lighten up. Let the sunshine in. It's been weird intense times filled with changes, we can't forget who we are and how to give in to the light. This is a time of balancing out who you are with the status quo. It can be about balancing self vs relationships as well. Releasing things in the way of this balance.

There is a lot about relationships though at this time! This Full Moon is particularly relationship heavy. We have asteroid Juno the asteroid of commitment in the sign of Libra, the sign of partnership, in good aspect with the Full Moon. Committed relationships are now culminating and coming together as balance is reached.

Venus is in Aries ready for new things in love. Filled with fire, but woah at the time of the Full Moon it's conjunct Chiron and Black Moon Lilith! I know I talk about Chiron a lot and how it's the wounded healer. Black Moon Lilith if you don't know is a point in space. The point where the Moon is furthest from the Sun. It's our shadow side. Especially shadow feminine. Venus and Lilith together! Oh boy! All that is lovely about the feminine, the goddess of love mixed with the dark feminine, All that is not accepted about the feminine, the temptress. Well it's not just about love, pink clouds and softness. It's about what's remained hidden. Suppressed desires. This is intense! Ladies you may be feeling this one more. Half nice. Half naughty. Half soft feminine, half intense temptress. This is kinda fun energy if you have the right attitude. But regardless, we want love at this time. New beginnings in love. The shadows must be acknowledged and transmuted though. What's remained hidden around love must come to light. Then we have Chiron! There may be vulnerability around love. Wounds can be healed, although not without feeling through the vulnerability. A favorite astrologer of mine calls Chiron Quasimodo aka The Hunchback of Notre Dame. It's like Quasimodo meets up with the goddess of love and beauty and a dark witchy temptress all within ourselves at once. Can we blend our beauty and pure loving hearts, our shadow dark side and our wounded side that makes us feel insecure in one crazy blend? This blend offers healing, integration and ultimately love. This love is real because it's a love there despite imperfections, wounds, sides of ourselves that are hidden and usually unaccepted as well as the typically lovely beautiful parts of ourselves.

Then we have asteroid Ceres in Aquarius exactly square Uranus in Taurus. Boy has Uranus been big lately, dealing out the unexpected. We're being urged to nurture the unexpected that's shown up in our lives. Nurture the weird. This sense of freedom. It's ok that things feel different and unusual. Nurture that! Nurture your dreams within this weird space. Ceres though being nurturance can also be what brings us comfort. Perhaps there's too many shakeups and too many surprises. It feels too different. So you don't feel comfortable. It can be so hard to feel comfortable right now. Embrace the uncomfortable.

Then we have Mercury in Pisces trine the North Node in Cancer, while Pallas Athene asteroid of wisdom sextiles both. Mercury is going to go retrograde on February 17th. It's time to say what you need to say before then! It's trine the North Node, it's a time to get our minds aligned with our hearts. For communications that set us on the right path in our life. Destined communications so to speak. Time to speak from the heart. The mind isn't involved here, yet with Pallas Athene wisdom is. Tap into your inner wisdom and your heart. Let them be your guide. We also have asteroid Vesta sextile Neptune in Pisces. This is just all about tuning in to your spirit. All that is. Tap into the flow. Get aligned. Trust your intuition to guide you at this time.

Such a powerful Full Moon! It really took pulling up my advanced chart to see how powerful it is though. Release that which is holding back an authentic life. Step into relationships despite imperfections, feeling good enough. Unleash what you've kept suppressed. Commit to those authentic relationships. Step into the new. Speak from your heart and let your wisdom and spirit be your guide.

New Moon in Aquarius: It's the Future, That's Why it's Unfamiliar!

We have been through quite the intense Eclipse season, but now we're starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel as new things come into being with this New Moon in Aquarius tomorrow (January 24th 2020).

During Eclipse season we majorly let go of an old reality as Saturn and Pluto were conjunct at the time of the Lunar Eclipse. Although, with the Solar Eclipse we also entered a new reality. It was an intense time. Now we are past that. Hopefully you feel like you have majorly transformed and released a lot because now we are stepping more into this new reality. Aquarius is futuristic. It's about moving forwards in this future that doesn't look like anything we've seen before. Saturn finally moved a degree ahead of Pluto. It was behind it for so long. Radical transformation was nearing, but Saturn was still caught up in the old ways of being. Then with the conjunction during the Eclipse major transformation, purging and death of the old happened. Now that it's finally ahead, it's like the phoenix has finally risen from it's ashes and we can create a new world and new structures.

Right before this New Moon, the Sun sextiled Chiron in Aries and squared Uranus in Taurus. As we move forward there's a lot of healing that has occurred recently that we can integrate. Also, Uranus shook us up and is urging us to break free and embrace change. Uranus is the planet that rules Aquarius as well, so that energy is strong right now. Change may look too weird and different and we may not want to embrace it. Have no fear though. Keep moving towards the new, the radical and the different.

Mercury is also in Aquarius at the time of the New Moon and it's about to sextile Mars in Sagittarius. It's time for a fresh new mindset as well. To think outside the box about things. To detach from things and see them from an objective perspective. With Aquarius and Sagittarius energy joining forces, keep your eye on the future only! Lots of future focused energy.

It won't impact the New Moon, but Venus in Pisces is moving towards a square with Mars in Sagittarius and a conjunction with Neptune and Mars in Sagittarius is moving towards a square to Neptune as well. There may be some confusion this weekend especially about where the future is going and what direction to go in. It can get sort of spaced out, tired and weird. With Venus and Mars in square there could be a focus on relationships. Perhaps even some relationship tension. About what the future holds. Between emotions and between wanting stimulation and excitement. Between going towards the future you want a bit headstrong instead of what it is meant to be. The key is to tap into Neptune and Venus's conjunction. It's about going with the flow, going with what feels 'right' vs anything else. Going with the dreamy, romantic, other worldly feelings and not second guessing where they are taking you. Your soul knows what's best. Trust the love that feels divine. Trust your true pure feelings. Not the ones tainted by fear. Trust your heart, your dreams and the flow and you will be able to move in the direction that's best for you.

It's an exciting time filled with change and newness. An intense period of release is waning. We can step fully into the new now. Don't hesitate just because it's unfamiliar. Don't stop just because it seems a bit foggy or doesn't quite make sense. Embrace the radically new, follow your feelings and trust that all will be well.

Lunar Eclipse in Cancer: Release the Old Reality and Step Fully Into the New

We started the Eclipse season off with a Solar Eclipse on Christmas night. Ushering in a new world, a new reality. Now we are completing this Eclipse story with a Lunar Eclipse in Cancer today (January 10th 2020). We have started a new reality, but now we must release the past, old realities, old beliefs, rules and ways of being completely in order to step into the new.

The Nodes are the points in which the Moon crosses the ecliptic. There's the North Node, which is in Cancer and the South Node, which is in Capricorn currently. Astrologically the North Node is an energy that as a collective and as individuals we should be moving towards. The South Node represents an opposite energy that is at times a balancing force and also represents an energy to let go of. Through certain series of Eclipses we deal with this energy. Moving in a better direction and learning new things.

This Eclipse cycle is about the North Node in Cancer, where the Moon is at during this particular Lunar Eclipse. It's all about getting in touch with our emotions and feelings. Opening up emotionally. Opening up our hearts. It's important to follow this first and foremost at this time.

With the South Node in Capricorn, which is where the Sun is at during this Eclipse, we need a solid foundation and structure from which to safely explore our feelings, open our hearts and follow our hearts as well. Basically we need a reality that is aligned with our hearts and feelings. Capricorn rules the bone structure in our bodies. If we think about it like that, we need a solid bone structure in which to contain our hearts and keep them safe.

While that's the balancing energy of the South Node, there are certain things to let go of. Living life from a place of feeling obligated, fitting in with the so called 'rules', following the path set up by society, adhering to tradition and outdated modes of thinking. It's also time to listen to the voice of the heart instead of the voice of fear or restriction. Even the voice of reason some would say.

Overall with this Eclipse we've reached a culmination point. A time to fully release. Hopefully our hearts have been opening, we're following them more and we've already realized a bit of what this new reality will be like quite recently. Now we need to fully release the past. Fully release blocks to our heart. Fully release fear. Fully release the old world. Old traditions. Old outdated ways of doing things, being and thinking. This is a big final release as the new continues to come into being.

Now there's lots going on around this Eclipse. So much energy in Capricorn. We have the Sun, Mercury, the South Node, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto and even asteroid Ceres here. We are totally building a new foundation and world as we release the old reality. The core spark of our beings (the Sun), our minds (Mercury, our drive to expand (Jupiter), our inner authority (Saturn), our drive for transformation (Pluto) and our nurturing instinct (Ceres) are all teamed up now to create this new reality and release the old. With the Sun, we need a life that honors our truth, our inner spark. Old identities, old selves, need to go. With Mercury we need a new mindset. The old way of thinking, especially negative restrictive thinking, needs to go. With Jupiter, we need to allow our realities to expand and grow. To expand past what we thought was possible. To step into a new way of believing. The old way of belief,  old belief systems, need to go. With Saturn we need to regain authority over our lives. Realize the power we have to manifest and create the lives we desire. We need to create new healthy structures and know that all these good things must fit into this physical reality. We need to release giving our power away to authority figures. Adhering to old structures, rules and traditions. With Pluto we need to let the old reality die. Be destroyed completely. We need to rise from the ashes of the past. Transform into a new reality. A new you. With Ceres, we need to nurture and tend to our dreams of this new reality, so that it can become more real and continue to grow. Bring the quality of care and nurturance into this new reality. Let go of a cold world where there was no nurturance. Let go of old things in the past that you don't need to tend to or give your care to anymore.

So let's talk about it all a bit more individually. Jupiter is exactly conjunct the South Node. We really are growing out of the past. Out of the old reality. It's like shoes that don't fit anymore. We are really being faced with old beliefs in order to let them go. Life is always what you believe it to be. Which is why you need to expand what you believe and be rid of negative beliefs.

Mercury and the Sun are exactly conjunct during the Eclipse. There may be lots of communication and information coming through at this time. We need to align our minds and thoughts in a better place. Get our heads in the program. It's imperative to release negative thinking and fear based restrictive thinking at this time. There may be some difficulty and tug of war between our minds and feelings however as Mercury aligned with the Sun, means it's also exactly opposing the Moon. Our monkey minds may be in a tug of war with our feelings. You must not let your mind get the better of you and keep following your heart. Our hearts just feel what is right, but with Mercury in Capricorn we could over rationalize, get fearful and try to reason our way out of following our hearts. The heart's path is where true success lies however.

The biggest news of this whole Eclipse is Saturn and Pluto's conjunction in Capricorn. This is not a transit that has happened since 1518. This is literally life altering on personal and collective levels. The old structures, rules, traditions, reality (Saturn) is dying, is being eradicated, yet transforming into something new (Pluto). Never have we experienced such a huge shift of the old reality literally ending and a new reality coming into being.

I mean this is intense. The old has absolutely no place in your reality anymore. The past has to go completely. Old lives. Old versions of yourself. Old people that don't belong in your reality anymore. Old jobs. Old homes. Old anything. It has to go. A new beautiful reality is here and you're going to want to step into it. It may not look like anything you've ever seen before. That's a good thing! You don't want anything you've had before. Everything now must align with your heart. Your new reality must be heart based. This is a powerful transit bringing the new into being, but it can be harsh. This could be the biggest purge of the old. Lots could come up. You must release it. It has no place in the new. Anything you're holding onto will be eradicated.

What's crazy is that the Sun and Mercury will meet up with this conjunction of Saturn and Pluto over the weekend. Some of this crazy, purging, transformative energy will continue throughout the weekend. It will be a intense energy building these 3 days. We will be releasing and stepping into the new this whole time.

The asteroid Ceres' involvement is very interesting. Ceres rules the principle of nurturance. We are nurturing this new world as it comes into being. Ceres is at 21 degrees Capricorn smack dab between the Sun and Mercury conjunction at 20 degrees and the Saturn and Pluto conjunction at 22 degrees. In this new world we must nurture ourselves. Remember to care for ourselves. We must nurture our minds. Bring them into a softer energy. Ceres is a mother energy and Saturn is the father energy. Its interesting these are together and with Pluto! I'd say for anyone with residual parental issues, it's best to eradicate them our of your system at this time. The old dynamic that has been in grained in you. The patterns that stemmed from them. Let it go. The way you weren't nurtured perhaps as a child, you can release now. You don't have to carry these templates forward. We can majorly release parental issues. We can't carry them forward any longer. I mean, we're really eradicating everything from the past, as much as we can, but so many issues begin with our parents, it's no surprise to see this energy now. Even with the whole Capricorn, Cancer dynamic, mother and father energies are brought up.

It's also interesting to consider Ceres aligned with Pluto. Mythologically Pluto was god of the underworld and he kidnapped Ceres daughter Persephone and eventually came to a compromise that Persephone would come back to the surface half the year and bring life. It's weird to see these energies meet up because of this myth. They're meeting up, making an agreement. An agreement for a balanced world with both winter and spring. Ceres energy is perhaps showing that yes we've been down in our personal underworld facing our demons, but it's time to let go of the struggle. It's time to come back to the surface. It's time for spring. It's energetically been winter as we've dealt with our shadows, but this energy marks that spring is on the horizon. It's time for new life and growth.

Another asteroid that is playing a big part in this Eclipse is Juno. Juno is in Libra and is square the Sun and Mercury. Juno in Libra is about perfectly balanced committed relationships. There's a lot about relationships with this energy. The best fair relationships are coming into being. There's a ton of serious commitments within the good relationships aligned with this new reality. If you're in a relationship not working out this time though, oh boy get ready to release it. Even if you're holding on to residual committed relationship hurts especially in your mind with the square to Mercury. Thoughts connected to that must go. Also it could be about other things that you're committed to, but shouldn't, that you should release at this time. Old commitments must go as new ones form.

This is such an intense time! The biggest week in astrology that I've seen yet. Life is changing! Reality is changing. Embrace the new reality. Release the old. Completely. Abolish it. The energy is pushing so strong in that direction. Let the old die way as you run with an open heart towards the new. It's already here. Just embrace it and let it keep growing.
