Full Moon in Taurus: Confronting Your Inner Truths While Preparing for Intense Change

Tomorrow (November 12th) early in the morning we have a Full Moon in Taurus. There's lots of change in the air, yet we are still in Mercury Retrograde gathering information.

The New Moon cycle we had was opposing Uranus. Yet Mars was square Saturn and then Mercury Retrograde came shortly after. The cycle was about radical change and transformation, but some restrictions and blocks in the way of moving forward. Not to mention Mercury Retrograde showing up and saying we need more information. Still lots of change in the air.

This Full Moon shows this as well. The Sun is in Scorpio. It's the season of transformation. It's a Full Moon, it's a culmination point, but also right after a time to release. Especially in Scorpio season. It's autumn, trees are shedding their leaves and you must shed the old. With the Moon in Taurus, release foundations that are old. Stop hanging on to what is stagnant, dead and not working. Or others may be in a different situation needing to let themselves build new foundations. Allow the new changes to come in and take root. It's kind of like our lives are like trees. Some people have an old dead tree on their hands and it's time for it to go. To be chopped down and turned into firewood or something. Other people are tending to a new tree, letting those roots grow deeper and really anchored into the earth beneath it.

While we are in a time of release, transformation and change, it is still Mercury Retrograde. Change is still happening regardless, but maybe more internally as we prepare for the actual more external change. There's lots to be looked at, processed and let go of within yourself. It can get uncomfortable, but it's necessary. There's also lots of information that can keep coming up as well. More to be discovered. Especially since at the time of the Full Moon Mercury had just previously been aligned with the Sun. A lot more information may be coming to light. Sometimes Mercury can get blocked out by the Sun, so right before the Full Moon we could either be like 'aha' or not quite get where things are going. Regardless afterwards it emerges with new information.

While not exact the Sun and Moon are moving into an aspect with Pluto at this time. Again confirming change and transformation in the works. Whatever changes are being wrought internally and about to be externally, will be for the best. There's an intensity though with all of this that's for sure. All this Scorpio energy is making us delve deep. Look at our shadows. The past. Confront truths. Even be overwhelmed with our desires. It's forcing transformation, but it isn't easy. It's a time that can bring about some discomfort. There's a bit of a squirming quality as we're faced with the underworld, the hidden shadows, truths and secrets previously kept. It's all for the good though! Positive transformation is here!

While all that Scorpionic stuff is intense, we do have a super positive aspect going on at the same time as the Full Moon. This aspect is Mars in Libra sextile Jupiter in Sagittarius. There's expansion and growth happening. There's even a sense of luck and positive opportunities. It's funny cause at the New Moon Mars squared Saturn, so while it was a new phase there was a lot of restrictions and blocks. Now Mars is sextile Jupiter. Now we can grow! Now there is opportunity. We can see a glimpse of a bright future. With Mars in Libra this can bode well for one on one relationships and connections in particular. Opportunities to see how to move forward. Optimistic feelings of future opportunities for positive relationship growth.

Also, Saturn in Capricorn just finished it's final sextile with Neptune. Reality and dreams can work together. If you so decide and put a bit of effort in, your dreams can come true. Amidst the intensity, deep reflection  and change, there's a lot of positivity as well at this time!

It's been intense lately, that's for sure. With a Full Moon while the Sun is in Scorpio and Mercury Retrograde is in Scorpio it can get emotional and the emotions can run real deep. It's also a little too easy to get too caught up in the dark. Everything is moving towards positive transformation though. I'm telling you, once this Mercury Retrograde is over there will be lots of change unfolding. Right now its happening internally. We are processing and discovering new bits of important information. It's all pushing us towards major change in our lives and there's so much opportunity. We can totally make our dreams reality. Just be willing to transform. To shed your snakeskin. Be brave enough to face your shadows and your truth. It's all good, it's also just intense as fuck.

Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio: A Spooky Retrograde

Just in time for Halloween, Mercury descends into the underworld for a retrograde in Scorpio that will last till November 20th.

I always have to start a post about Mercury Retrograde clearing up what it actually is. Mercury Retrograde happens when Mercury is closer to us in it's orbit. This loss of perspective makes it look like it is moving backwards. Astrology is from our perspective, so when looking at a chart, Mercury moves backwards in degrees. Both these facts are important to remember. Mercury's closeness to us highlights the areas it rules: communication and the mind. Both of these can get overloaded however cause the energy is too high and that's where a lot of the mishaps, mix ups and miscommunications can come from during this time. With the backwards movement in the chart however it's time to review some things before moving forward. To look within. This is also why the past can come up a lot during a retrograde. Communications from people with the past are common. For the most part I wouldn't put too much stock in those.

Typical things you always got to watch out for is technology or any sort of electrical device or appliance, going on the fritz. Try your best to communicate really well because miscommunications, especially the electronic variety, can be common. If people return from the past in most cases don't get sucked into it. Careful of signing important contracts. Put it off if you can, but you can if you have to, just remember to take a lot of time with it. Also, steer clear from major decisions. It's a time to review things. Usually this time predates big decisions, but it's not time to make them now. Starting or ending jobs is not advised and same with relationships. I've seen those types of decisions change the second a retrograde is over more times than I can count. There's no perspective to make proper decisions now.

This retrograde is happening in Scorpio, so let's talk about how this flavors the retrograde. Scorpio rules the underworld, so we're going way deep with this one. There'll definitely be an intensity, especially an emotional one during this time. It's time to be detectives. To unearth information or secrets that previously eluded us. Perhaps some of this information will help people make decisions when the retrograde is over. Other people just need to unearth things they've buried in themselves for better self-understanding. In particular it's a good time to look at your shadow side. It's also a time to explore your deepest emotions. Primal desires. What you feel, but is hiding in the secret innermost reaches of your soul.

Hope this retrograde passes easily for you. It may have started on Halloween, but these three weeks could continue feeling like Halloween. Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio is a bit spooky we could say.

Full Moon in Aries: Making Your Way Through the Storms of Change

On Sunday October 13th at 2:07 PM (PST) we will be having a Full Moon in Aries. What an intense Full Moon this will be!

On September 28th we started a New Moon cycle about finding harmony and balance in our lives. A cycle with a big focus on our relationships with others. That's because the New Moon was in Libra. The opposite of Libra is Aries. Aries is the sign that has to do with the self, independence and individuality. Now that we're in this new phase of relationships we need to check in and make sure that things are truly balanced. That our own selves are balanced with relationships you are part of. To find ultimate harmony. If there's anything holding you back from that it's time to release that. For relationships that are on good footing this shouldn't be too big a deal. This Full Moon though could be a pretty big turning point for those in unbalanced relationships that have gone on for far too long. This could be a make it or break it scenario.

The New Moon in Libra was about a new balanced, harmonious cycle, but it made a weird awkward quincunx to Uranus. This meant everyone wants balance, harmony and connection, but not any shakeups or radical change getting there. Well if you've been avoiding necessary change it's about to stare you in the face.

Pluto in Capricorn will be involved in an exact t-square with the Sun and Moon during the Full Moon. Emotions may be at an all time high especially the more fiery or violent ones. Keep that in mind if you are feeling the waves of emotion, so you don't totally lose it. Power struggles are something in particular to watch out for. I hate being dramatic, but this aspect does not look pretty. However, besides the fact it could bring about unpleasant moods or power struggles, this aspect can bring big changes that need to occur. If it's more minor you could work with this energy better and move through the tension and transform some structures in your life. Whatever things that are keeping you from true happiness in your relationships and your relationship to yourself. This can an important turning point. For those in very unbalanced situations or with a lot of stuff buried beneath the surface or those in situations that are simply not working anymore, this could be a major point at which to let go. Some relationships may be vastly different soon or will not make it.  I mean, you can't predict things with astrology,  you can only look at the energy. That's just the type of energy around this Full Moon. Libra energy is about compromising to make things work. Pluto energy shows that sometimes there will be no harmony, so you have to let go for there to eventually be harmony in your own life. Sometimes things just have to drastically change.

It isn't all intense and serious though, there's a saving grace with Jupiter in Sagittarius forming an exact trine with the Moon and sextile to the Sun. There's growth and expansion available. That's what it's all about! Change and growth are necessary aspects of life. For those that have pretty much been on the right track in life, this will probably be a good thing. Like I said though some may have to undergo bigger change. No matter the changes, Jupiter does provide a silver lining for everyone. A sense of optimism for the future regardless of what happens. And an opportunity of luck and growth through it all.

On Saturday, Venus in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus. This is yet another indicator that relationships need to change. Unexpected things could happen. Some shocking, some not so big of a deal. It's always different for everyone. Sometimes this just brings electric and exciting energy to relationships! Do things differently this day or just have fun. You never know what will happen when Uranus is involved. Sometimes it's overwhelming and not great for some people and for others it's super exciting.

Mercury in Scorpio will sextile Saturn in Capricorn on Sunday as well. This is good because regardless of what's going on you can think deeply and practically. You can hold conversations with people that dive deep, but yet with that practical edge that can be so helpful at a time where some could feel emotionally volatile.

This Full Moon is one that packs a punch that's for sure. It's good though because change is inevitable and we're just being led into a more balanced life. Where we are honoring ourselves and our relationships are happy. We're always making our world better. Sometimes by tweaking it. Sometimes we have to leave a whole world behind and enter a new one. Regardless of where you're at and the level of change you are going through, remember that there is a silver lining and it's all for the best. Basically in everyones life there will probably be one area where you've been trying to find some balance and harmony, one where change really needs to happen and one where you can find luck and growth if you balance out and change the areas that need it. New Moon in Libra : A Fresh Start Amidst the Light and the Shadows

On Saturday September 28th 2019, we have a New Moon in Libra in the morning. This New Moon can mark a new beginning for relationships and also for regaining a sense of balance and harmony in our lives.

Libra is a sign that is all about connecting one on one with others. It's about connection, harmony, balance, fairness, justice, peace, beauty, art and love. With a New Moon in this lovely sign, so many are facing an ability to start fresh in a way within different types of relationships. This can be a time where you agree to compromise and regain balance in relations with others. Always remember as well to balance your relationship with yourself with your relationship to others. This is a time to start a phase that is more balanced.

Leading up to the New Moon the Sun opposes Chiron, so it's still loosely in affect during the New Moon. While there's a big focus on relationships, there's also focus on our own selves. Healing issues around identity, individuality and independence. Relationships could even be a mirror at this time to show you what you need to heal in your relationship to yourself. It can be an empowering time though at the end of the day. Since this aspect was exact a couple days before the New Moon and is technically moving on, this New Moon could bring the sense of being able to move on from our personal wounds. Getting past them. Getting over them.

In terms of relationship stuff this New Moon can be really interesting because it's kind of connected to lunar cycles we had in late March and throughout April. How is your life in terms of relationships (or maybe in general) connected to that period? How far have you come? Are you able to start fresh with something that was going on back then? Are you finally free to have what you wanted then, but needed to grow through some things first?

Venus in Libra will be making an awesome sextile to Jupiter in Sagittarius at the time of the New Moon. This is lucky, positive, expansive energy for relationships. This bodes especially well for romantic relationships. There can be this wonderful balance and growth towards the future. There's romance and optimism available. There's beauty if you look for it.

I've talked about this recently, but I'll talk about it again. Neptune and Black Moon Lilith have been conjunct in Pisces all this week. I don't often bring up Black Moon Lilith, but it's pretty interesting. It's not a planetary body, it's a geometric point. It's the point in the Moon's orbit where it is farthest from the Sun. The darkest point. The shadows. What you cannot see. It represents our shadow side. The parts of ourselves we don't wish to acknowledge. The parts that we hide. The parts of ourselves other don't seem to accept. Our fears. Our hurts. Our 'dark sides'. It's also known as the shadow feminine. The types of females or aspects of females that aren't accepted. Sadly there's all sorts of aspects or ways females can be that haven't been accepted. So basically, a lot of this very hidden energy can come to surface now. Neptune urges us to transmute and transcend these shadows whatever they may be in our lives. They are part of the whole. Perhaps you won't feel whole until you accept all of yourself. The good, the bad and the ugly. The light AND the dark.

Last, but not least there's an awkward quincunx between the New Moon and Uranus. Quincunx's are when planets are in signs with absolutely nothing in common with each other. Completely incompatible. It's not even like there's tension. There's almost no connection. The New Moon is Libra is about this fresh start in relationships and connections. This beautiful sense of harmony and balance. Uranus is about change, shakeups, breaking free, even sometimes chaos. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. In the midst of these lovely new beginnings will there be some crazy shakeups that seem incompatible with it all? Do we want peace and harmony so bad we're not actually allowing radical change? Regardless there could be a touch of the unexpected that could play out here.

Overall this is a powerful time. There's such a sense of refreshed relationships. A sense of love and beauty. Yet it's not all unicorns and rainbows. There's this intense shadow aspect. This transmutation and healing . The lightness and darkness of life are meeting up in this perfect yin and yang to propel us forward. Perhaps that is where the true balance is coming from at this time.

Full Moon in Pisces: Time To Surrender

Tomorrow (September 13th 2019 at 9:32 PM PST) we are having a Full Moon in Pisces. This is going to be a big moment of surrender.

Full Moons are always made up of the Sun and Moon in opposite signs. This time we're dealing with the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces. As with all Full Moons, a culmination point has been reached and it's time to release some things. With all the Virgo energy lately it's about reordering your reality, so that it works better for you. Creating new routines. Being healthier in many ways. Having a more organized or healthy life. Healthier relationships. There's just been a reordering going on and it's still going on. Now in order to have that there truly needs to be release. Releasing what no longer serves you and doesn't belong in your reality. With this Pisces energy you also should surrender control a bit. Virgo energy can make us so nit picky sometimes, judgmental or perfectionistic. With this Full Moon it's important to let go of that. Those things aren't going to make your reality any better. That's where the Pisces element of surrender comes into play.

During this Full Moon, Mars in Virgo will be opposing Neptune in Pisces. This really heightens this need to surrender. Mars in Virgo can make us want to perfect everything. To sort everything out. To make a list. With the Neptune energy though things can seem unclear. Our energy can even seem to dissipate. We may want to figure everything out, but we may feel tired. Nothing can seem to make sense. Perfection can't seem to be reached. It could make some feel hopeless and like they want to give up. In a way it's best to give up though at this time. Not in a negative way. Just to surrender trying to figure it out. To just have a little bit of faith and trust. To trust that things are as they should be. To surrender to life, the universe and in a way trust that everything is working out as it should for you. Your biggest job right now is simply to surrender and release things from the past or emotions that aren't serving you anymore and don't belong in your new reality.

The Full Moon is also positively aspecting Pluto. Again this shows that this is a major opportunity to let old shit go and to transform. Very powerful transformation moment available here. Release those old feelings, old hurts etc. Release old patterns and habits that aren't good. We're creating a new day to day reality for ourselves. Release old things you don't want to feel on a daily basis. How do you want to feel? Release old patterns/ habits that aren't healthy or serving you anymore. Only stick to patterns and habits that bring a sense of wellbeing into your life. It's time to purify your life. Clean it up. Create a new healthier life and lifestyle.

The last aspect that is exact at the time of the Full Moon is that Mercury and Venus are conjunct. Not only is that significant, but the fact that they are conjunct at 29 degrees of Virgo. Each zodiac sign is made of 29 degrees and 59 minutes (not actual minutes). 29 being the last degree of a sign signifies an important turning point. With Venus involved in this conjunction this Full Moon can also bring turning points in relationships. With the conjunction to Mercury this can come through important realizations and conversations.

This is a pretty powerful Full Moon. It's a turning point, a time of transformation, a time of release and most of all a time of surrender. What would you like your reality to look like? Allow yourself to release what doesn't belong in it anymore. Allow yourself to change. To flow with the tide of transformation. To stop trying to sort out and perfect too much. Release and then surrender and enjoy the ride.
