Starting 2018 with a Full Moon in Cancer

On New Year's day 2018 we are having a Full Moon in Cancer. What a way to start the New Year!

Full Moons are typically a time of culmination with a period of release following it.
Let's delve into the themes and aspects of this Full Moon to see what is culminating and what needs releasing.

With this Full Moon we're dealing with the Cancer-Capricorn axis. This is an axis that deals with security. Cancer with emotional security; wanting to feel safe and nurtured. Capricorn is about security more on a physical/material plane.

It's time to release some needs for security that aren't serving us anymore. There's a huge emphasis on Capricorn energy right now with four planets being in Capricorn including Saturn and Pluto. There's a bigger emphasis on the Capricorn energy than the Cancer energy. It's important to release some emotional, needy security issues because of this. The Cancer side of things seems to need the most releasing, although if you have Capricorn material security issues holding you back,  you should look at that as well. All the heavy Capricorn energy is urging us to build the lives we want though. It's the time to focus on that and release security issues that are holding us back from manifesting what we want in our lives.

With this Full Moon it would ideally be good to find balance between Cancer and Capricorn needs however. Find balance between what your emotions want and what works best for you in the physical/material world.

Not only is it important to start building the life we want this month with all the Capricorn energy, it's important to remember that Saturn just entered Capricorn. We're starting a two and half year cycle right now. The things we decide to build will have long lasting results.

Out of the four planets in Capricorn at the time of the Full Moon, a conjunction between the Sun and Venus is the closest. This means that relationships for some people are a big focus at this time. Trying to build one or manifest the one we want. Venus is Capricorn takes relationships seriously. This really isn't a time to just mess around. There's a desire for much more than that.

The biggest aspect at this time is an exact trine between the Moon and Neptune. This is Neptune trying to positively help us. Urging us to connect to our spirituality. When the going gets tough connect back to the source. With all the security issues you may be feeling, remember that our greatest sense of security simply comes from the divine or the universe. Trust in the universe at this time. Neptune even at it's best can make things seems a bit foggy, so use it's positive side to trust in the universe and connect spiritually.

I wanted to mention that the day after the Full Moon Uranus goes direct. This could bring up something unexpected. When that happens though, all planets will be direct. That's kind of a big deal. You usually hear about the personal planets going retrograde, but outer planets go retrograde pretty often and for long periods of time. With all planets direct now, it's full steam ahead.

Two big aspects that we have to look forward to soon that I also wanted to mention are a conjunction between Mars and Jupiter and a sextile between Jupiter and Pluto. Things will really be moving and expanding to get us to our soul's deepest desires with the Mars and Jupiter conjunction. Jupiter sextile Pluto is a rare and important aspect that will really be pushing us to transform and grow. Lots of change coming!

The last thing I wanted to talk about may shed some light as to why it seems like there could be a bit of information lacking in our lives. We have all this Capricorn energy urging us to start building the lives we want, but Mercury is a straggler in Sagittarius. It turned direct a little bit ago, but hasn't caught up to where it was when it went retrograde. It's backtracking. It may feel like part of the truth is still missing or like we're still seeking where we should point our arrow to some extent.

~Overall this can be an intense and emotional time. Yes, this is a Super Moon so the energy is magnified and the Moon is in it's home sign of Cancer. Talk about feeling all the feels! This is quite the way to start the year. It's a time of release and culmination, so that we can really start to build the life we want. Change and transformation are coming, even if we're still a teeny bit unsure where things are going at the moment. It's all coming together in a big way though, and it will really be interesting to see how January plays out. ~

New Moon in Sagittarius: What's Around the Bend?

On Sunday (December 17th 2017) we are having a New Moon in Sagittarius! New Moons happen every month and always mark a good time to plant seeds for new beginnings in our lives as it marks a point in which the Moon begins a new cycle. Sometimes this period of time deals with some smaller new beginnings. This New Moon though, is a bigger deal and is more intense .

An Abundance of Sagittarius
This New Moon is in Sagittarius with three other planets in Sagittarius as well. Saturn is one of the planets and it is at 29 degrees of Sagittarius and about to move on finally after a three year cycle, which is very significant. We are at the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one basically. With this New Moon and all this Sagittarius energy we are being asked to find our truth. To figure out what is real and true in our lives. We are being asked to figure out where we would like our futures to go. We are also being asked to question what we believe and our beliefs about life. With Mercury Retrograde we have already really been questioning these things and have been revisiting certain things in order to try and find the answers. Mercury will still be retrograde this week, so even a little after this New Moon you may be trying to make sense of everything. I personally think that January is when these things will really start to move forward and make sense when Mercury picks up the pace again. This weekend though, is big and might bring some more clues to this puzzle. It will be interesting to see what comes up.

The Galactic Center
The Galactic Center is something that keeps being brought up a lot lately. The New Moon will be conjunct the Galactic Center (the center of our milky way galaxy). This just shows how powerful the energy backing this New Moon is. This is an important time in many peoples lives. If you are at all spiritually inclined or have some sort of meditative/spiritual practice, I believe theres a lot of energy and 'downloads' that are available to connect with at this time. Connecting on a spiritual level like this might help us find the right path we are meant to go on.

Saturn
The New Moon is conjunct Saturn, which is at the fateful 29 degrees of Sagittarius. Saturn will be moving into Capricorn on Tuesday. It's wrapping up a cycle that started at the very end of 2014. Think of the things you have gone through since then, you are completing a certain cycle of your life and starting a new one. At the time of this New Moon we are at a culmination point and preparing for a new cycle.

Uranus
The New Moon is also trine Uranus. Uranus brings change and I'm sure you can already tell that change is coming. Uranus can also bring the unexpected. Perhaps some unexpected bit of information comes in that gives you clarity as to where it is you should be going. If not that, there could be some other unexpected event. A trine is a more positive aspect so unexpected in this case should hopefully be a good thing.

Chiron
The New Moon is also square Chiron. This is a more difficult aspect. This brings up the fact that we have got to heal our wounds! Mercury Retrograde also squared Chiron, so part of  finding the direction our future is going in, is to heal things from the past that are still hurting us. Finding out the truth of some matters so we can move on. Healing hurts that are preventing us from going along the right path. Healing beliefs that are keeping us stuck. The energy of this square and the trine to Uranus may have been felt a little stronger a couple days up to the New Moon when they were making a direct aspect to the Sun.

Belief and Manifestation
It's best to heal beliefs you have about life that don't serve you at this time. When Saturn moves into Capricorn we want to make sure that some of the life we are creating doesn't involve the manifestation of some of our bad beliefs. Capricorn is an earth sign and can be related to manifesting things on the physical plane.

Mercury Retrograde's Activity at the Time of the New Moon
At the time of the New Moon, Mercury in it's Retrograde motion will trine/sextile the Nodes. This is an aspect I mentioned briefly in my Mercury Retrograde post. This is an aspect that is trying to get us aligned with our purpose and our authentic path. An aspect that is trying to get us to bring our authentic self into the spotlight. Helping us step into what our hearts want and away from what we think others want us to do and what helps us 'fit in'. Mercury Retrograde is hitting this spot so we can find these things, so we can move on accordingly.

~Overall there is a lot going on! We are reviewing certain things, ending a cycle and beginning a new one. This is a big time to find our 'truths' and to find out the life we are meant to be living. To find out the next step on our path. This New Moon could really bring us to an interesting point. Remember though, that while we may really want clarity and to totally move forward, I would be patient until Mercury turns direct and gains momentum. We are getting prepared to move forward at this time.~

Mercury Retrograde in Sagittarius: An Energized Retrograde Centered Around the Truth and Creating Our Futures

It's Mercury retrograde time again! Mercury started a retrograde cycle on December 2nd 2017 and will be retrograde till December 22nd. I'm sure you can feel it already, but this isn't your typical Mercury Retrograde. This one is pretty energized.

~Typical Mercury Retrograde Issues to Watch Out~
I can't have a Mercury retrograde post without making sure I tell you about some more typical Mercury retrograde things to watch out for. You should have patience with technology as you could experience some problems or glitches, you should be careful of miscommunications,  you should be careful of signing contracts and if you are traveling really make sure you double check everything etc. Mercury Retrogrades are also not a good time to start something totally new. Ending something isn't a good idea either if you can help it. The thing about starting something or ending something is that the nature of those circumstances can change when Mercury Retrograde is over, so it's best to wait on big decisions.

~The Past~
Something Mercury retrogrades can bring up is the past. Whatever comes up is always for a reason, but the levels of of how important these things are can vary greatly. Sometimes we need to revisit something during this time that never got resolved. Sometimes something or someone that was in your life and kind of disappeared and wasn't really supposed to in the long run, comes back for a redo. On a more personal level, friends, or lovers who just never got over you or  never got what they wanted from you can re-surface and a lot of the time that doesn't necessarily mean anything more than that.

~Moving Forward~
Something that I feel like is misunderstood about Mercury retrograde is that you can move forward. Especially during this particular retrograde, which is much more energized. The thing is, don't do something completely new. If you redo something or re-vamp something, that's awesome. You can also use some of the stuff from the past positively in order to move forward.

~A Word About Retreating~
Mercury retrogrades usually have to do with taking a step back and retreating. While I think that you should make sure you take important reflective moments for yourself, this Mercury retrograde is just too energized for that to be all you focus on at this time. I think taking time to retreat, experience solitude and meditating are always important. I just think this retrograde isn't the time to totally disconnect form the world and to not do anything. Balance is really key here this time.

~Mercury is Retrograde in the Sign of Sagittarius~
Mercury is going retrograde through the sign of Sagittarius. Sagittarius is a fire sign and is related to outward moving, yang energy. That's part of the reason why this retrograde is more energized. The symbol we associate with Sagittarius is that of the archer. Sagittarius is concerned with the future and helps us to point our 'arrows' in the right direction. During this retrograde we are concerned with our futures and everything we do, are revisiting, or bringing back from the past is all in order to really figure out where our  futures are going when Mercury turns direct.

Sagittarius is also concerned with the truth and finding meaning. With Mercury retrograde in this sign we are really questioning the truth. What does it all mean? What is the truth of our lives? Our inner truth ( since retrogrades turn us inwards)? We are trying to discover these truths so we know what direction our futures should go in. This may mean that we discover some truths we didn't know previously. Sometimes this can be hard. It's important to know in the long run though.

~Mercury, Saturn and the Galactic Center~
Mercury will be conjunct Saturn at the beginning of the retrograde. Saturn is about to leave Sagittarius, so this is kind of a big aspect. It really intensifies the Sagittarius energy talked about above. There's almost an urgency to discovering the truth and getting on the right track. Also taking stock of what you really believe. This aspect is making us get serious. Both Mercury and Saturn have been in line with the galactic center (the center of our Milky Way galaxy) as well lately. That's a big deal and I feel like the meaning of it is so huge, it's hard for anyone to completely understand or explain. Basically I think the things we are discovering on a personal level (if we are in tune enough) can have effects on a world level and then on a galactic level.....because we are part of something huge and I think we discount how important we are as individuals in making up the 'whole'.  If more people step into their 'truths', really follow their path and step into a place of alignment with light and love, I believe that can effect the 'whole'. I think it is all too vast and complicated to truly understand, but important to reflect on and bring to your attention regardless.

~Other Aspects Mercury Will Make~
Mercury will be making a trine to the North Node. This will help us in further figuring out our life purpose and to further discover our most authentic version of our selves to move forward with. Step into your light!

Mercury will also trine Uranus. This aspect is definitely bringing some of that energy I was talking about. It also brings an element of change. Hard to sit still with this one.

Mercury will be squaring Chiron. This points to wounds coming up for healing. Healing wounds from the past that could come up.

Mercury will also be conjuncting Venus. This will bring up some relationship stuff for some.

~Wow! Lots to think about during this Mercury retrograde! Like I said, this one is more energized than usual. I'm sure you can already feel that. I think what we discover during this time will be very important for us all and it will be interesting to see how things move forward when Mercury turns direct again~

Full Moon in Gemini: Navigating Through the Fog

Today (Sunday December 3rd 2017) is the day of the December Full Moon! This Full Moon may be a tricky one to navigate as we may be feeling like we're lost in a fog. If you are able to go with the energy in the correct way however, it won't be so bad.

Full Moon's are always the culmination of a cycle. A time of harvest. At this Full Moon though, we may not be so sure where we are going next. This Full Moon we have the Moon in Gemini and the Sun in Sagittarius. We are working with the axis of the mind. We may very much be in our heads at this time. With the Sun (and 3 other planets) in Sagittarius we are wanting to know what direction we should be moving in now. We are seeking the truths of situations. We want to know where we stand.

Part of the frustration lies in that the Moon in Gemini is ruled by Mercury which started a retrograde ( look out for a post about that soon) the night before. This means that things aren't really moving forward very fast now and we can't seem to find answers. Another frustrating aspect is that Neptune is in an exact square to the Full Moon, basically acting like a fog machine. This means we are coming to a culmination point, but we are frustrated because our minds want information and we want to figure out the direction things are going in. We want the truth of situations in our outer world. Yet, Neptune and Mercury retrograde are throwing a wrench in things.

How do we work with this energy?

Mercury is retrograde in Sagittarius. This will help us if we turn inwards rather than pushing forward through the fog in our outer lives. The truth of things on the external may not be so apparent, but we must turn inwards and discover our inner truth. Come to terms with the truth of what you truly want in your heart. Retreat and reflect on this.

While the Moon is ruled by Mercury retrograde, the Sun in Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter in Scorpio. Jupiter has been making a trine to Neptune. This is a positive aspect that helps us use Neptune's energy in a good way. This is also a rare aspect that we should make the most of. Neptune can be confusing, but it also rules the spirit and the divine. Jupiter, which is in Scorpio right now expands everything it touches and wants deep soul level connection. There is this beautiful expansive energy of the spirit to get in touch with right now if we so choose. We live in a vast, awesome, universe and if tap into this energy that permeates all life, we'll be better off at this time. Have some faith and trust that things will go in the right direction for you. Let go of the reins a little bit.

~ Overall this is an intense Full Moon and yes this is a Super Moon ( I know there's a lot of hype out there about that) which basically means the Moon is closer to the Earth and the energy is amplified. The key to this one is how you navigate it. If you focus too much on your outer life, you could potentially feel very frustrated. The energy has been building up to this Full Moon, so perhaps that energy resonates with how you've been feeling the last few days. Basically this is a time to go within, connect with your spirit, your spirituality/spiritual practice. That is the saving grace that will get you out of your head and into your spirit. You are a spiritual being having a human experience, remember that. You have a compass within. Follow that, trust that, and and it will see you through the fog. ~

New Moon in Scorpio: Where Are We Going Next?

On Saturday (November 18th 2017 at 3:42 AM PST) we will be having a New Moon in Scorpio. This New Moon is not for the faint of heart. We are in the midst of transforming and moving forward, yet we may feel frustrated or not sure in which direction we should move.

New Moon's always have that weird mixture of introspection and a burst of energy for a new beginning. Leading up to the New Moon, as the Moon wanes we may feel withdrawn and introspective. Then once that New Moon starts to wax and grow, we start a new monthly cycle. New beginnings start at that time and this time the push for a new beginning is a bit intense.

We are having our New Moon in Scorpio this month and Scorpio's new beginnings always involve transformation. We've been in Scorpio energy for this past month with the Sun and various planets there and the big transit of the year: Jupiter in Scorpio. This means the idea of transforming something in our lives is not new to us at this moment. We are just still in the transforming process and this is another gateway opening in this process, just not necessarily an easy one.

At the time of the New Moon Mars and Pluto are starting to form a square that will be exact the day after. Now Pluto is the contemporary ruler of Scorpio and Mars is the traditional ruler. See how this aspect is affecting the New Moon now? The two planets that rule Scorpio are making an intense aspect that is so integral to understanding the energy around the New Moon.

This aspect between Mars and Pluto makes us want to transform something in our lives, but sometimes it can even force us. Mars in Libra is an energy that makes it hard to make decisions and move forward. Perhaps we have been wanting to move forward, but we are frustrated at what direction to take . Another manifestation of this energy is that we haven't been able to decide, but at this point in time we are getting a little push. This is a frustrating aspect not going to lie, and it can make some tempers come out. Mars after all does rule anger and Pluto rules rage.

Mars in Libra is in detriment at this time as well. Along with Venus in Scorpio, Mercury in Sagittarius, and even the Moon in Scorpio.  Detriment means a planet is in a sign that is the opposite of that which it rules. This means that all these planets ( and they're very personal planets) don't feel at home. So there's an uncomfortable energy we don't feel at home in.

An aspect that may help us through some of this uncomfortable time of change is that Chiron is in a fading trine with the New Moon. This is a healing aspect. We're being urged to connect with the divine/the universe to help us get through these changes. Maybe we need to trust in the universe to guide us into the right direction even when it seems frustrating and confusing.

~Overall, new beginnings are coming. We are being pushed to transform and we want to transform, it's just coming at a time when we all feel a little uncomfortable about it. The important thing is to remember to be strong and to remember what your heart truly desires. Scorpio is all about what we want at a soul level, nothing less will do. Remember how it feels to be in alignment with your souls desires, the happiness you feel in being immersed in the energy and things you love. That space and remembrance along with trust in the universe will help you get through this uncomfortable period of transformation.~

Full Moon in Taurus: Doing Away With Old Structures and Creating New Ones

Tomorrow (November 3rd 2017 at 10:23 PM PDT) we are having a Full Moon in Taurus. This is an intense Full Moon that packs a punch. Change and transformation are in the air!

As I usually mention, Full Moons are a time of harvest, culmination and letting go. What is coming to a head at this time? What are we letting go? Well let's take a look at some of the themes.

This Full Moon is comprised of the Moon in Taurus and the Sun in Scorpio. This means there is a tug of war between structure/stability (Taurus) and total transformation (Scorpio). Of course we have to try to find a happy balance between these things ideally. The Scorpio energy though, rules our deep desires and we are wanting those now. Especially since Jupiter entered Scorpio. Being in touch with our deepest desires is even a theme for the year. At this time we have to let go of structures that we are holding on to that feel secure, so that we can indeed fulfill our desires.

While we are being urged ( and let's be honest, most of us probably don't actually need urging right now) to let go of certain things and go after our desires, we want to try not to act too rashly. The Moon is exalted in Taurus, so hopefully this good Moon energy will help us be grounded and stable enough in our emotions.

Now this energy can play out in any area of our lives and it is best to look at our charts at 11 degrees Scorpio and Taurus to see how this will personally affect us. For some there could be some things that come up around romantic relationships. Scorpio rules intimacy and sexuality, so stuff could come up around that. Scorpio is also the sign associated with jealousy and Taurus with possessiveness and in past Full Moons in Taurus, these are issues that have been prevalent. I'm bringing that up now, cause jealousy and possessiveness could backfire with an aspect that is going on during the Full Moon, which is Venus opposite Uranus.

Venus opposing Uranus has even more significance because Venus rules Taurus, the sign the Full Moon is in. This aspect means that the drive to break free and be an individual is at odds with the  desire to have compromise and harmony. As you can see, possessiveness won't work right now because it allows neither freedom nor compromise. Of course compromise is ideal right now, we just need to find a balance with our own individuality.

Uranus's involvement in this Full Moon just further shows that we are in for some change. It was involved in our last New Moon too, so we have been on this path of change for a little while.

Neptune is involved in the Full Moon making a positive and exact aspect. With this aspect there is definitely a dreamy vibe in the air. A lot of people may feel spacey and tired in the midst of all this crazy change. This is a good time though for spiritual insights and to be in touch with our intuition.

The last aspect I want to mention that is going on at the time of the Full Moon is Saturn square Chiron. This may bring some wounds to the surface and feelings of victimhood. There also may be some wounds around what you believe. As in beliefs you may have about yourself or the world around you. Also there may be a feeling of disconnection.

~Overall, this is a high energy Full Moon! We are changing and transforming that's for sure. It's similar to The Tower card pictured above. Structures in our lives that aren't in alignment with our deepest desires are falling apart, so that we can create new ones that will serve us better. Try to find balance in the chaos and healing by getting in touch with spirituality. Find compromise even within your desire to be free~

New Moon in Libra: Embrace the Element of Change

Tomorrow (October 19th 2017 at 12:12 PM PDT) there will be a New Moon in Libra. This is a very exciting New Moon with a lot of aspects. We have to expect the unexpected with this one. A portal of a beautiful, vibrant new beginning awaits if we are willing to embrace it.

Leading up to the New Moon the energy is always a bit lower and everyone may feel a bit reclusive as the Moon is getting darker. When the New Moon hits though, it's a time of new beginnings and a time to manifest what you would like. This new beginning is quite a big one too.

The most interesting part of this New Moon is an exact opposition to Uranus. One big thing to keep in mind with this month's new beginning is to expect the unexpected. Some people get annoyed with that interpretation of Uranus energies, but that is the truth! If we knew what to expect it wouldn't be unexpected would it?

It's interesting because the crazy energy of Uranus tied up with the Moon is affecting the tides right now because they waves are pretty crazy around where I live. It's interesting to see physical manifestations of planetary energy like that.

What we can say about Uranus for sure is that it always brings change. We're being reminded of change we still need to enact in our lives to live the life we want. Although, of course Uranus may just not remind us, it may just bring a change we needed unexpectedly!

With the Libra energies of the New Moon we can't forget about relationships. This could be a new beginning in a relationship sense for some people. This could be within existing partnerships or even could be a potential time to meet someone. With Uranus tugging at the other end of the New Moon in Aries, we are reminded of our own individuality and freedom as well. If there is a new beginning in a relationship sense, it must balance the 'self' and the 'partner'. Balance is always key when talking about Libra.

We have Saturn in a sextile with the New Moon helping us get our lives together in the way we need to. Helping us take practical steps and get structured properly. Saturn can be a harsh planet, but this time it's making a nicer aspect and helping us get down to business in a good way.

Another interesting aspect to this New Moon is a sextile to Black Moon Lilith. I don't usually talk about Black Moon Lilith, but this is an interesting aspect especially because Black Moon Lilith is on the Galactic Center. Black Moon Lilith has to do with our shadow side and what we keep hidden for fear it won't be accepted. With Black Moon Lilith traveling through Sagittarius we have been dealing with our beliefs we have kept hidden and the parts of ourselves that are highly knowledgeable that we keep hidden. It also just hides the truth. In terms of actual truths or the truth of our own being and who we really are. In a personal way it's powerful, but it will be interesting to see what will happen on a more global or governmental level. There could be some whistleblowers or some truths coming out in that way as well. With the sextile to the New Moon, part of the new beginning on a personal level is to accept the knowledge we have and our beliefs and start to share them with the world. We need to come to terms with our shadow side and the TRUTH of who we really are. Black Moon Lilith being on the Galactic Center just makes this more powerful. The Galactic Center is the center of the milky way where a black hole is located. It is a huge source of energy. So with Black Moon Lilith sitting there we are having some powerful stuff come to the surface and it is impacting this New Moon.

Last, but not least we have a bit of a looser trine/sextile from the Nodes to the New Moon. This is reminding us of our purpose. Reminding us particularly of our inner light we need to shine and to step into our authenticity. The recent eclipse was related to the theme of the Nodes, so we are being reminded of what that eclipse was urging us to do personally. Of course no matter where the eclipse was in your chart it is all about stepping into our authenticity, which ties in kind of nicely with the other aspects.

~What a jam packed New Moon this is! Basically, at this time there is a portal opening in our lives. A new beginning. Doors opening. If we work with the energy, this could be beautiful. We are really being urged to get going on the path that is right for us all. Time to step into our authenticity, to embrace the truth of who we are, to stop hiding our knowledge, to get down to business creating the life we want and should be leading and to break free from anything holding our individuality back. Of course on top of that, we are urged to be in balanced partnerships that support this authentic life. Of course, there is also the element of the unexpected that we can look forward to! I can't stress enough what a powerful time this is!  ~

Jupiter in Scorpio: A Year of Deep Transformation and Growth

Jupiter entered Scorpio today, October 10th 2017 where it will stay until November 8th 2018. Wherever Jupiter goes it gives us luck and expansion. This year that luck and expansion touches on the themes of Scorpio.

Scorpio rules transformation and I'm talking about really intense transformation. Like total destruction of things,  so that positive rebirths can happen. Jupiter on the other hand is the largest planet and one that rules growth and expansion. When you put these two together, you can expect this year to be a period of tremendous transformation and growth. Scorpio rules the depths of the self as well, so a lot of this growth may be inner growth in particular. Scorpio has the most intense emotions of the water signs, so there can be deep emotional growth as well.

Basically we will be looking for change on a deep inner level and change that aligns with our true inner selves. There's a doorway opening around desire and what our souls truly desire. Scorpio does away with the superficial and whatever isn't in alignment with our true selves we will get ready to abolish from our lives. There is tremendous spiritual growth around for the taking . In fact anything taboo, spiritual or mysterious seems to hold interest for us now and we want to explore the deeper aspects of life.

This past year with Jupiter in Libra, there was growth in 1 on 1 partnerships. We had to learn harmony and compromise. Change was harder though because Libra constantly weighs two options and is infamous for indecision. Scorpio is all about change however and now we can completely transform our lives and bring about that which is in alignment with our spirits and we can bring about our deepest desires. We have gone through some growth with 1 on 1 partnerships, but on a more mental, surface level. With Jupiter in Scorpio our relationships are now growing on the level of intimacy. We are now looking for intense sexual intimacy and soul level intimacy with another person. Not only with another person, but connecting on an intimate level with ourselves and with life as well.

Speaking of sex, Scorpio loves it and Jupiter expands everything. This means that sex drives could become more intense. There will be positive growth though around sexuality.

Other things that Scorpio rules are power and other peoples' money/shared finances. There may be some positive opportunities and support around joint finances this year. With Scorpio's drive for intimacy there could now be a desire to share your life with someone in a more material way like sharing financial responsibility or even a home for some people. As far as power goes, that is the one downfall of Jupiter in Scorpio. It expands the drive for power, which may be interesting to witness in the governments of the world.

Jupiter in Scorpio will make two big aspects this year and they will be positive, so that's good news! One will be a trine to Neptune. This will be a wonderful aspect on a spiritual level and one that all water signs will probably feel in positive ways. The second big aspect is a wonderfully transformative sextile to Pluto. Pluto rules Scorpio, so imagine the transformation that could happen at that time! That aspect will be very welcome to water and earth signs alike. There will also be a mutual reception between Mars and Jupiter, which shall be nice too. A mutual reception is when two planets are in each other's signs. So Jupiter will be in Mars' original sign Scorpio and Mars will be in Jupiter's sign of Sagittarius.  When that happens we can really get some positive ventures going in our lives. We will at least have better aspects this year with Jupiter in Scorpio then we had with Jupiter in Libra last year.

This year will be particularly profound for Scorpios and those born with Jupiter in Scorpio. If you have any planets in Scorpio, expect to have some kind of profound growth in certain areas of your life as well.

~Overall this is a powerful and exciting transit! No more beating around the bush, it's time to go after what we desire and live a life that is satisfying to our spirits. An old order is dying out as well as everything superficial. It's time to experience the depth of life, the depths of our spirits and the depths of intimate relationships. ~

Full Moon in Aries: Changing Relationship Dynamics

Tomorrow ( October 5th 2017 at 11:40 AM PDT) there will be a Full Moon in Aries. The energy is quite intense around this one, but hopefully in a positive way. It's been intense in general astrologically and this is just one more piece to the puzzle.

Full Moon's are an emotional time where things come to a culmination or harvest each month. The area of focus this month is relationships and relationship dynamics.

With a typical Full Moon in Aries (which of course means that the Sun is opposing in Libra) we have a tug of war between the 'me' and the 'we'. The Moon in Aries wants independence, individuality and to do what it wants. The Sun in Libra wants what's best for the relationship. It wants harmony and compromise. This tug of war was accentuated with the recent opposition of Uranus in Aries and Jupiter in Libra. On a personal level this opposition was between what Uranus in Aries wants which is independence, individuality, and having the freedom to do what it wants and Jupiter in Libra who wants to grow through partnership and have compromise. With this aspect we had a tug of war between these two things before this Full Moon.

We are trying to find the balance still between these two things, but the tug of war is coming to a kind of resolution. To start with, Mercury is also in Libra conjunct the Sun and is helping us communicate in a partnership sense and find compromise.

Where it really gets interesting is that the planet that rules Libra (Venus) and the planet that rules Aries (Mars) are exactly conjunct at the Full Moon. So a middle ground and a balance may be found as these planets are working together. This aspect is nice for relationships in general and can be kind of sexy ( planets that rule romance and sex drive conjunct doesn't sound so bad....). They're both in Virgo though, which is a very practical sign. This helps with some practical and grounded solutions.

Mars and Venus both made a trine to Pluto individually earlier in the week, which shows that things have been transforming on an individual and partnership level. These areas are undergoing a huge transformational shift, which is underlying all of this.

~Overall, relationship dynamics are growing and changing. We are trying to find a balance between our personal needs and desires and those of a partnership/partnerships in our lives. We are getting practical about this and there is a lot of communication about our thoughts and feelings. Pluto is totally transforming the nature of things, tearing structures up from the roots and changing things positively for the better. Pluto doesn't let things stay the same. Pluto is the planet of death after all and we are witnessing the death of an old way of being. Pluto also rules rebirth however and that is what is happening now on a personal and relationship level~

New Moon in Cancer: Home, Family and Relationships

On Friday ( June 23rd 2017 at 7:31 PM)  there will be a New Moon in Cancer. With four planets in Cancer there will be a huge focus on things relating to home and family.

While the Moon diminishes we all may be feeling a little more withdrawn, but after the Moon hits that New Moon point it's time to start manifesting what we'd like. Cancer is a cardinal sign, which is about initiation, so it's time to initiate those new things we'd like in our life!

Of course you must see what house in your chart the New Moon falls in to get a totally clear idea of what you will potentially want to manifest, but chances are lots of people will be interested in manifesting things in the home and family arena.

Mercury is conjunct the New Moon, so even if you haven't yet started to enact new things, you are probably thinking and talking about it!

The same day as the New Moon, Venus will be making a trine to Pluto. This means relationships are transforming as well, probably on a practical level since both Venus and Pluto are in earth signs.

The Moon will be in it's home sign of Cancer where the energy flows quite nicely. Some people may be feeling a little emotional with all this water energy, but hopefully it will be mostly a positive thing for everyone to be in touch with their feelings.

~Overall this looks like a nice New Moon. It's time to initiate positive new things in our lives and the energy is particularly looking good for home, family and relationships! ~

Full Moon in Sagittarius: Which Direction Are You Headed In?

On June 9th (2017 at 6:10 PM PST) there will be a Full Moon in Sagittarius! Life is beginning to move forward now, and we must decide what direction we would like it to go in.

The Moon will be at 18 degrees Sagittarius and the Sun will be at 18 degrees Gemini. The Sagittarius and Gemini axis is the axis of thinking and knowledge. Gemini is highlighting the focus on the details and on gathering information. Sagittarius is focused on the big picture and what it all means. These two energies may be a bit at odds, so it's up to you to balance and integrate this energy.

To integrate this energy, use the Gemini solar energy to gather all the information you can, to explore your options. Then tap into that Sagittarius lunar energy to make a decision about where you would like to go. Set some goals and to see the bigger picture of where you would like to go. Become in alignment with your inner truth and act accordingly.

A lot may be culminating at this time as Full Moons are a time of harvest and culmination. As the Moon wanes though, it becomes a time to let go of some outdated things. As far as letting go with this Full Moon, it's important to release outdated thought patterns and beliefs. It's a really good time to clear out that mental space.

Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, is turning direct on the same day. This is a very beneficial energy and infuses the energy with possibility. Some people may start to feel like luck is on their side again depending on how it affects your personal astrology. For awhile there has been more inner growth, but now we may see that growth reflect in our outer life as well. With Jupiter in Libra, this could bring some more beneficial energy to relationships.

Speaking of relationships, there is a sweet hookup between Mars and Venus this day as well. Venus in Taurus will be making a sextile to Mars in Cancer. This is a sexy and sweet energy for relationships. Venus is Taurus is very attuned to the sensual side of love, while Mars in Cancer is great for feeling cuddly. This could be a nice evening or even weekend for a romantic date, although staying at home with a loved one could be quite romantic as well with this comfort loving combo.

Full Moon in Scorpio: Time to Transform

On May 10th 2017 ( 2:42 PM PST) the intense astrological story continues when we have a Full Moon in Scorpio.

As with all Full Moons things are coming to harvest and to a culmination. Some things may need to be released, potentially just some feelings with the very emotional Scorpio running the show.

The Moon in Scorpio is very emotional. The Moon is in it's fall in Scorpio, so there are struggles expressing emotions in a balanced way. There may be a lot of intense, deep and jealous feelings running beneath the surface during this Full Moon.

The Moon in Scorpio is giving us an urge to transform, but the Sun in Taurus is opposing this feeling with the desire for structure. The way to balance this energy is to build new structures and to transform existing structures in our lives.

Pluto is pretty strongly in the picture with a sextile to the Moon and a trine to the Sun. Pluto is really adding to the push for transformation. It's making easy aspects though, so it's not too harsh. There is transformation happening whether we like it our not, but with the easy aspects I would imagine these changes would end up being quite welcome.

We've had an interesting astrological story happening starting out with Venus and Mercury retrogrades that brought a lot of interesting revelations to the table. Then we had a New Moon in Taurus which helped us realize we may need to build some new foundations in our lives. Now with this Full Moon we realize that in order to do that we need to transform and so this has culminated in this moment.

It's also important to note that Mercury and Uranus just were conjunct for the third time. This brings the unexpected, unexpected messages and also maybe some innovative ideas. So some of the transformations and changes may not be what we expect.

~ Scorpio is an intense sign, so this is an intense Full Moon. It's bringing with it important transformations. Don't be afraid of transformation, bring out your inner phoenix. ~

North Node in Leo, South Node in Aquarius Transit: Tapping into Your Heart

This month (May 2017) the nodes have changed signs! The North Node is now in Leo and the South Node is in Aquarius, which is where they will remain till November 2018. This is a great node transit that should bring us more fully into our self-expression and into our beautiful heart space.

Let's delve into some of the themes of this nodal transit.

Letting Yourself Shine
This is a transit that will help us shine our special light. We are all unique souls with special gifts we bring to the world. This is now the time to step onto the path of our passions and be ourselves fully. We are all diverse human beings on this planet and it's time to embrace that! Leo wants to stand out, so no more blending in with the crowd. It's time to own your talents and the amazingness of who you are. Aquarius rules the global community, so a good way to balance this nodal energy would be to start sharing your talents and who you are (Leo) with the world (Aquarius).

Heart Over Head
Leo rules the heart, while Aquarius is a mental air sign. This means that we need to follow our hearts during this transit not our heads. Although, balance is always a good thing. It's really time to get heart centered and follow where are hearts tell us to go.

Changing the World Through Love
The South Node in Aquarius brings with it gifts of caring for society and everyone as a whole. We can't think about this in a abstract way though anymore. We must start changing the world one person at a time by opening our hearts and tapping into the love that we all carry and sharing that love.  We can do this by loving those in our lives, loving our true selves and loving what we do. All this can radiate outwards and have a beautiful effect.

Basically all the things Leo rules will be positively highlighted: Fun, heart centered joy, self-expression, creativity, love/romance, and children.

~ If you are familiar with your natal chart look at the houses the nodes will fall in because these areas of your life will be karmically highlighted. I offer transit reports as well, so you can always get one of those done to see how this transit will affect you personally. ~

New Moon in Taurus: Time to Lay a Foundation

On April 26th 2017 (5:16 AM PST) there will be a New Moon in Taurus. Slow and steady will be the theme with this one as Mercury is still retrograde.

As the Moon wanes we might be more contemplative and reclusive than usual. Then once the Moon hits that dark New Moon point it's time to plant your seeds and watch the new beginnings bloom in your life. Of course this New Moon we have to take it slow because Mercury is still retrograde. We can still get the ball rolling however for when it does go direct.

With the New Moon in Taurus it's a great time to really build some foundations in your life and to plan for the things you would like to create. Taurus is very grounded in the material plane as a fixed earth sign, so perhaps there may be some new beginnings coming to fruition for some people in the material plane. Venus rules Taurus, so now that Venus is direct there could be some new beginnings in the relationship stories that have been unfolding and affecting everyone differently.

Around the New Moon there are a couple aspects to note. One is that Mercury is about to conjunct Uranus. This may bring some unexpected things to the table as you are trying to build new things into your life. Unexpected bits of information could surface that could change the direction you go in. This could have to do with something from the past since Mercury is in retrograde.

The second aspect is a square between Chiron and Saturn. This may bring with it some vulnerability and sensitivity. Some people may be feeling hurt as some wounds resurface. This could also make some people feel lonely or isolated. Saturn keeps squaring planets lately and bringing up that kind of feeling. So there is just a need to acknowledge that and work through it and try to deal with our wounds as they come up. Healing our wounds is an important part of building a foundation for wonderful things in our life during this New Moon phase.

~New beginnings are right around the corner in our lives. We've been dealing with some intense retrograde energy since March and once May hits we will finally be able to move forward. This New Moon is what gets the ball rolling. It's time to lay the foundations for what we would like to see in our lives. ~

Full Moon in Libra: Relationships With a Twist of the Unexpected

Right now ( April 10th 2017 11:08 PM PST) as I am writing this there is a Full Moon happening in Libra. It's been interesting in the cosmos lately and this Full Moon is just one more piece of the puzzle. There has been an emphasis on relationships lately and this Full Moon is no different.

Full Moons are a time of harvest so expect certain things to come to fruition. It's a time to let go though as the Moon begins to wane. The Full Moon is also overrun with Cardinal energy, which is all about starting new things. The Sun in Aries just amplifies this, since Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and the sign of new beginnings. It's an interesting time because it's time to let go of some things and yet it's time to start fresh at the same time. It's important to remember as well that we may not be aware of the full picture yet as Venus and Mercury are still retrograde. We are all still reflecting and figuring it out.

Themes surrounding this Full Moon are: relationships, compromise, love, individuality, transforming  structures in our lives and commitment.

The Moon in Libra along with it's conjunction to Jupiter is the part of the puzzle that is really highlighting relationships, harmony within them and love. Emotionally there is a focus on relationships and maybe a need for them. The Moon is always 'hungry' and so with the Moon in Libra it is hungry for harmonious relationships. Jupiter is helping out the Moon nicely and is pushing us to grow and expand the way we relate in partnerships. Jupiter is in a retrograde however and Venus who rules Libra is retrograde as well, so there's still internal work to be done in the relationship arena.

The Sun in Aries along with it's conjunction to Uranus is highlighting our individuality. This energy is very focused on the 'self'. Of course we have to balance the 'me' with the 'we' which has been a ongoing theme for months now. With the Sun in Aries we want to shine in our individuality and to impulsively go after what we want. With the Uranus influence there may be a desire for some freedom and liberation as well. This is a combination of planets that craves the new and may bring in the unexpected. We may all be in for an element of surprise.

Pluto in Capricorn is squaring the Sun and Moon (forming a T-square) and has an authoritarian type energy reminding us "what we need to be doing." It's pushing us to transform the structures in our lives though. This may create tension, but the kind of tension that helps us make changes. It's also interesting to note that the asteroid Juno will be close to Pluto and also loosely squaring the Sun and Moon. Juno is the asteroid concerned with committed relationships. We are being pushed to transform our committed relationships. There could be a shakeup within a commitment. This asteroid of commitment is adding to the relationship story in some way that's for sure.

~Overall this is an action packed Full Moon. It's happening at such an interesting time too, with Venus in her last stretch of retrograde and Mercury just starting a retrograde. Our lives are being shaken up that's for sure! Always for the better though. There is a beautiful story and evolvement happening particularly within relationships. ~

Mercury Retrograde: Time for Profound Reflection

Well it's happening again. Another planet is going retrograde. This time it's Mercury, which will start it's retrograde in Taurus on the 21st (2017) then it will go backwards through Aries and end on May 3rd. We have been in the midst of a lot of retrograde energy with Venus, Jupiter and Saturn all retrograde. Now Mercury is joining the mix and Pluto will be retrograde soon as well. Basically it's been a time with a huge emphasis on reflecting, reviewing, redoing etc.

It's time to look inwards. Time to sift through our thoughts and feelings to review the past and to see where we want to be going. There's no denying it though, this isn't your typical retrograde period. We are in the midst of some crazy astrological energy. Change is in the air. At the moment it's more like a start and stop motion with all the retrograde energy, but there is still so much that is shifting beneath the surface.

Of course with Mercury Retrograde there are all the typical things to remember. Communication may be rougher. Miscommunication is more bound to happen. It's important to be proactive and diligent about travel plans. Technology could go on the fritz. Remember that patience is truly a virtue.  Our thoughts are turned inwards, so let that happen and get what you can out of the reflection. Give yourself the time for it. Slow down. Connect with your innermost thoughts.

The past is always connected to retrogrades, so the past may come up and people from the past may reappear. In some cases it could be pure nostalgia. In other cases it could be more important or your karma may not be done with each other. In some ways this is a theme carried over from Venus Retrograde.

The Retrograde is starting out in Taurus. Mercury in Taurus is a slower mental energy. So take your time choosing the right words to say. This is the time to let your mind slow down; mull things over. Taurus is a practical earth sign, so get practical and real with yourself when you are reflecting on your life. Taurus is also concerned with what we value, so get in touch with what it is you really value.

The second half of the retrograde Mercury will be in Aries and the vibe will change. Be more careful of miscommunications during this period because unlike the slow Taurus energy, Aries is more impulsive. Careful of saying things you don't mean or saying things that could easily be miscommunicated. Mental energy may be more focused on yourself during this period. Wonderful time for self-reflection. Near the end of April Mercury will meet up with Uranus, which will be interesting. A lot of out of the box thinking will be around for the taking. Look out for some potentially brilliant ideas. You can get in touch with what you'd like to initiate when the retrograde is over during this time.

~Overall the energy is intense right now. Lots of change, but in a slower way at the moment. Not the best time to start new things, but such a great time for some very profound reflection and important revelations. I hope everyone makes it through the retrograde and when it's over hopefully we can implement some fantastic new changes in our lives.~

New Moon in Aries: Springtime is Here and With it Comes New Beginnings

Spring is finally here! This was official when the Sun entered Aries on March 20th with the Spring Equinox. Now on March 27th (2017 at 7:57 PM PST) we are having a New Moon in Aries. New beginnings abound!

There may be a desire to withdraw a bit leading up to the New Moon as the Moon wanes, but once we hit that New Moon point it's time to manifest! Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and loves new beginnings, so a lot of you may be ready to race out of the starting gates. It is a fabulous time for all this new energy, just not in the arena of love or even beauty.

The New Moon is conjunct Venus who is in her retrograde cycle. A lot of you may be thinking about new beginnings within relationships, but wait till Venus goes direct. You may finally be coming to decisions about what you would like, but don't make any moves yet.  I recommend waiting to make relationship decisions till May 8th when we are out of both Venus and Mercury retrogrades.

Other than relationships, any personal new beginnings you would like will be around for the taking. Aries rules the self, so get in touch with what you personally want for yourself and go ahead and manifest it! Just hold off on these relationship decisions. Also, because of Venus ruling beauty, don't alter your appearance in any way either.

Aries is very independent, which is a fabulous energy for you personally. Don't sacrifice your relationships though for the sake of independence. Be careful! There is a danger of that with the Aries energy, but making hasty relationship decisions could go very badly.

~Overall this is a great time to get started on your dreams. As long as you take your time with relationships and don't make impulsive decisions in that arena, you should be fine. It's spring time though and it's time to start fresh in our personal lives!~
