Solar Eclipse in Capricorn: A Whole New World

Late last night we had a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Capricorn. Eclipse season is here again and lots is changing!

Think back to summer, especially to July and what was going on in your life then. How has that led to now? What's connected? Those Eclipses back then are an important part of what's happening now. back then it was all about the Cancer energy and the Cancer North Node. Following our hearts. Connecting to emotions. Paths we take in life must be connected to that even now, but it really started back then and releasing anything in the way of that.

Now we have to tend to the opposite side of things. The Capricorn energy. We need to figure out the material/physical side of things. The practical side. A Solar Eclipse is a powerful new beginning point. This time in a more tangible sense. We must have a new reality to go with our new path of following our hearts and feelings. A reality in alignment with what we feel. This is what is occurring at this time. It's literally a time to enter a brand new reality. A whole new world. It's really important to allow yourself to enter this whole new world at this time. To not hold yourself back. Don't cling to the past. Or be held back by fear. This Eclipse is positive, but the downside of Capricorn energy can be a sense of fear or restriction. Think bigger than that and don't let fear of this new world hold you back.

The Sun and Moon will actually be conjunct Jupiter during the Eclipse, which is really positive. Jupiter is about luck and expansion. Even in Capricorn. It's time to grow. Expand your reality. This is a really positive part of this Eclipse. Also, a couple days before the Eclipse, Uranus in Taurus was trine the Sun in Capricorn. This energy is still affecting the Eclipse. This energy is influencing a lot of change. A lot of shakeups. You can't stay stagnant in an old reality, you have to shake it up.

Saturn and Pluto are also in Capricorn, but not conjunct the Eclipse. They are still influencing it though. They are moving closer and closer to their conjunction and will more impact the upcoming Lunar Eclipse. Still though, we have to do away with the old. Accept the end of a cycle and beginning of a new one. It's time to transform the structures in your life. Create new ones. Gain some new power and authority over your life.

Capricorn also has tons to do with the structures of society and the government. Tons is changing in that area too with the Eclipses, but that's not an area I personally like to dive too deep into with astrology. My niche is more personal astrology. Still though, some of the biggest changes we may see for a long while may happen within these areas.

~It's been interesting lately. So many changes for so many people. Realities are changing. Changing for the better. Allow it to happen because trust me, you don't want to cling to the old world. The old world is crumbling. Both on personal and collective levels. Build new worlds. It's about time. ~

New Moon in Sagittarius: Taking a Leap of Faith Into a Bright Future

Boy oh boy has the energy leading up to this New Moon been intense! We had a three week Mercury Retrograde taking us down into the depths and shadows confronting inner truths and demons. Lots of inner transformation hopefully took place. All of this was leading to outer change. Over the weekend Mars opposed Uranus bringing change, shakeups and the unexpected. Venus and Jupiter were conjunct and right in line with the center of the Milky Way Galaxy bringing so much growth, hope, expansion, love and a doorway into a bright future. Now to top it off right after that energy is a New Moon and new start in Sagittarius.

There really aren't big aspects to the New Moon. It's more about the lead up to it that was important. Change is here. New beginnings. The New Moon in Sagittarius is about looking towards the future, out towards the horizon, with hope, faith and optimism. Ready to expand and grow. Ready for a new adventure. We've done the inner work and confronted truths hopefully (we're still processing and integrating it all.) We've experienced some change or shakeups already. Maybe desire (Mars in Scorpio) for change (Uranus). For some there may be endings. We've experienced a doorway of just the best possible things you could want with Venus and Jupiter. This New Moon is way tied into Venus-Jupiter because it's in Sagittarius and we won't see a New Moon in Sagittarius with Jupiter there for 12 years. This is lucky. Take this positive opportunity. Dream big and move into this bright future. If you believe and have optimism, the world really can be your oyster right now. This energy this week/past weekend can be intense, edgy and bring with it some endings, but truly what's overwhelming about this energy is just how dang positive it can be. So much opportunity! Step into this doorway of light. Choose this positive new path and look out towards a bright future.

Full Moon in Taurus: Confronting Your Inner Truths While Preparing for Intense Change

Tomorrow (November 12th) early in the morning we have a Full Moon in Taurus. There's lots of change in the air, yet we are still in Mercury Retrograde gathering information.

The New Moon cycle we had was opposing Uranus. Yet Mars was square Saturn and then Mercury Retrograde came shortly after. The cycle was about radical change and transformation, but some restrictions and blocks in the way of moving forward. Not to mention Mercury Retrograde showing up and saying we need more information. Still lots of change in the air.

This Full Moon shows this as well. The Sun is in Scorpio. It's the season of transformation. It's a Full Moon, it's a culmination point, but also right after a time to release. Especially in Scorpio season. It's autumn, trees are shedding their leaves and you must shed the old. With the Moon in Taurus, release foundations that are old. Stop hanging on to what is stagnant, dead and not working. Or others may be in a different situation needing to let themselves build new foundations. Allow the new changes to come in and take root. It's kind of like our lives are like trees. Some people have an old dead tree on their hands and it's time for it to go. To be chopped down and turned into firewood or something. Other people are tending to a new tree, letting those roots grow deeper and really anchored into the earth beneath it.

While we are in a time of release, transformation and change, it is still Mercury Retrograde. Change is still happening regardless, but maybe more internally as we prepare for the actual more external change. There's lots to be looked at, processed and let go of within yourself. It can get uncomfortable, but it's necessary. There's also lots of information that can keep coming up as well. More to be discovered. Especially since at the time of the Full Moon Mercury had just previously been aligned with the Sun. A lot more information may be coming to light. Sometimes Mercury can get blocked out by the Sun, so right before the Full Moon we could either be like 'aha' or not quite get where things are going. Regardless afterwards it emerges with new information.

While not exact the Sun and Moon are moving into an aspect with Pluto at this time. Again confirming change and transformation in the works. Whatever changes are being wrought internally and about to be externally, will be for the best. There's an intensity though with all of this that's for sure. All this Scorpio energy is making us delve deep. Look at our shadows. The past. Confront truths. Even be overwhelmed with our desires. It's forcing transformation, but it isn't easy. It's a time that can bring about some discomfort. There's a bit of a squirming quality as we're faced with the underworld, the hidden shadows, truths and secrets previously kept. It's all for the good though! Positive transformation is here!

While all that Scorpionic stuff is intense, we do have a super positive aspect going on at the same time as the Full Moon. This aspect is Mars in Libra sextile Jupiter in Sagittarius. There's expansion and growth happening. There's even a sense of luck and positive opportunities. It's funny cause at the New Moon Mars squared Saturn, so while it was a new phase there was a lot of restrictions and blocks. Now Mars is sextile Jupiter. Now we can grow! Now there is opportunity. We can see a glimpse of a bright future. With Mars in Libra this can bode well for one on one relationships and connections in particular. Opportunities to see how to move forward. Optimistic feelings of future opportunities for positive relationship growth.

Also, Saturn in Capricorn just finished it's final sextile with Neptune. Reality and dreams can work together. If you so decide and put a bit of effort in, your dreams can come true. Amidst the intensity, deep reflection  and change, there's a lot of positivity as well at this time!

It's been intense lately, that's for sure. With a Full Moon while the Sun is in Scorpio and Mercury Retrograde is in Scorpio it can get emotional and the emotions can run real deep. It's also a little too easy to get too caught up in the dark. Everything is moving towards positive transformation though. I'm telling you, once this Mercury Retrograde is over there will be lots of change unfolding. Right now its happening internally. We are processing and discovering new bits of important information. It's all pushing us towards major change in our lives and there's so much opportunity. We can totally make our dreams reality. Just be willing to transform. To shed your snakeskin. Be brave enough to face your shadows and your truth. It's all good, it's also just intense as fuck.

Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio: A Spooky Retrograde

Just in time for Halloween, Mercury descends into the underworld for a retrograde in Scorpio that will last till November 20th.

I always have to start a post about Mercury Retrograde clearing up what it actually is. Mercury Retrograde happens when Mercury is closer to us in it's orbit. This loss of perspective makes it look like it is moving backwards. Astrology is from our perspective, so when looking at a chart, Mercury moves backwards in degrees. Both these facts are important to remember. Mercury's closeness to us highlights the areas it rules: communication and the mind. Both of these can get overloaded however cause the energy is too high and that's where a lot of the mishaps, mix ups and miscommunications can come from during this time. With the backwards movement in the chart however it's time to review some things before moving forward. To look within. This is also why the past can come up a lot during a retrograde. Communications from people with the past are common. For the most part I wouldn't put too much stock in those.

Typical things you always got to watch out for is technology or any sort of electrical device or appliance, going on the fritz. Try your best to communicate really well because miscommunications, especially the electronic variety, can be common. If people return from the past in most cases don't get sucked into it. Careful of signing important contracts. Put it off if you can, but you can if you have to, just remember to take a lot of time with it. Also, steer clear from major decisions. It's a time to review things. Usually this time predates big decisions, but it's not time to make them now. Starting or ending jobs is not advised and same with relationships. I've seen those types of decisions change the second a retrograde is over more times than I can count. There's no perspective to make proper decisions now.

This retrograde is happening in Scorpio, so let's talk about how this flavors the retrograde. Scorpio rules the underworld, so we're going way deep with this one. There'll definitely be an intensity, especially an emotional one during this time. It's time to be detectives. To unearth information or secrets that previously eluded us. Perhaps some of this information will help people make decisions when the retrograde is over. Other people just need to unearth things they've buried in themselves for better self-understanding. In particular it's a good time to look at your shadow side. It's also a time to explore your deepest emotions. Primal desires. What you feel, but is hiding in the secret innermost reaches of your soul.

Hope this retrograde passes easily for you. It may have started on Halloween, but these three weeks could continue feeling like Halloween. Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio is a bit spooky we could say.

Full Moon in Aries: Making Your Way Through the Storms of Change

On Sunday October 13th at 2:07 PM (PST) we will be having a Full Moon in Aries. What an intense Full Moon this will be!

On September 28th we started a New Moon cycle about finding harmony and balance in our lives. A cycle with a big focus on our relationships with others. That's because the New Moon was in Libra. The opposite of Libra is Aries. Aries is the sign that has to do with the self, independence and individuality. Now that we're in this new phase of relationships we need to check in and make sure that things are truly balanced. That our own selves are balanced with relationships you are part of. To find ultimate harmony. If there's anything holding you back from that it's time to release that. For relationships that are on good footing this shouldn't be too big a deal. This Full Moon though could be a pretty big turning point for those in unbalanced relationships that have gone on for far too long. This could be a make it or break it scenario.

The New Moon in Libra was about a new balanced, harmonious cycle, but it made a weird awkward quincunx to Uranus. This meant everyone wants balance, harmony and connection, but not any shakeups or radical change getting there. Well if you've been avoiding necessary change it's about to stare you in the face.

Pluto in Capricorn will be involved in an exact t-square with the Sun and Moon during the Full Moon. Emotions may be at an all time high especially the more fiery or violent ones. Keep that in mind if you are feeling the waves of emotion, so you don't totally lose it. Power struggles are something in particular to watch out for. I hate being dramatic, but this aspect does not look pretty. However, besides the fact it could bring about unpleasant moods or power struggles, this aspect can bring big changes that need to occur. If it's more minor you could work with this energy better and move through the tension and transform some structures in your life. Whatever things that are keeping you from true happiness in your relationships and your relationship to yourself. This can an important turning point. For those in very unbalanced situations or with a lot of stuff buried beneath the surface or those in situations that are simply not working anymore, this could be a major point at which to let go. Some relationships may be vastly different soon or will not make it.  I mean, you can't predict things with astrology,  you can only look at the energy. That's just the type of energy around this Full Moon. Libra energy is about compromising to make things work. Pluto energy shows that sometimes there will be no harmony, so you have to let go for there to eventually be harmony in your own life. Sometimes things just have to drastically change.

It isn't all intense and serious though, there's a saving grace with Jupiter in Sagittarius forming an exact trine with the Moon and sextile to the Sun. There's growth and expansion available. That's what it's all about! Change and growth are necessary aspects of life. For those that have pretty much been on the right track in life, this will probably be a good thing. Like I said though some may have to undergo bigger change. No matter the changes, Jupiter does provide a silver lining for everyone. A sense of optimism for the future regardless of what happens. And an opportunity of luck and growth through it all.

On Saturday, Venus in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus. This is yet another indicator that relationships need to change. Unexpected things could happen. Some shocking, some not so big of a deal. It's always different for everyone. Sometimes this just brings electric and exciting energy to relationships! Do things differently this day or just have fun. You never know what will happen when Uranus is involved. Sometimes it's overwhelming and not great for some people and for others it's super exciting.

Mercury in Scorpio will sextile Saturn in Capricorn on Sunday as well. This is good because regardless of what's going on you can think deeply and practically. You can hold conversations with people that dive deep, but yet with that practical edge that can be so helpful at a time where some could feel emotionally volatile.

This Full Moon is one that packs a punch that's for sure. It's good though because change is inevitable and we're just being led into a more balanced life. Where we are honoring ourselves and our relationships are happy. We're always making our world better. Sometimes by tweaking it. Sometimes we have to leave a whole world behind and enter a new one. Regardless of where you're at and the level of change you are going through, remember that there is a silver lining and it's all for the best. Basically in everyones life there will probably be one area where you've been trying to find some balance and harmony, one where change really needs to happen and one where you can find luck and growth if you balance out and change the areas that need it. If you would like a personal transit reading to help navigate this energy please feel free to message me!

New Moon in Libra : A Fresh Start Amidst the Light and the Shadows

On Saturday September 28th 2019, we have a New Moon in Libra in the morning. This New Moon can mark a new beginning for relationships and also for regaining a sense of balance and harmony in our lives.

Libra is a sign that is all about connecting one on one with others. It's about connection, harmony, balance, fairness, justice, peace, beauty, art and love. With a New Moon in this lovely sign, so many are facing an ability to start fresh in a way within different types of relationships. This can be a time where you agree to compromise and regain balance in relations with others. Always remember as well to balance your relationship with yourself with your relationship to others. This is a time to start a phase that is more balanced.

Leading up to the New Moon the Sun opposes Chiron, so it's still loosely in affect during the New Moon. While there's a big focus on relationships, there's also focus on our own selves. Healing issues around identity, individuality and independence. Relationships could even be a mirror at this time to show you what you need to heal in your relationship to yourself. It can be an empowering time though at the end of the day. Since this aspect was exact a couple days before the New Moon and is technically moving on, this New Moon could bring the sense of being able to move on from our personal wounds. Getting past them. Getting over them.

In terms of relationship stuff this New Moon can be really interesting because it's kind of connected to lunar cycles we had in late March and throughout April. How is your life in terms of relationships (or maybe in general) connected to that period? How far have you come? Are you able to start fresh with something that was going on back then? Are you finally free to have what you wanted then, but needed to grow through some things first?

Venus in Libra will be making an awesome sextile to Jupiter in Sagittarius at the time of the New Moon. This is lucky, positive, expansive energy for relationships. This bodes especially well for romantic relationships. There can be this wonderful balance and growth towards the future. There's romance and optimism available. There's beauty if you look for it.

I've talked about this recently, but I'll talk about it again. Neptune and Black Moon Lilith have been conjunct in Pisces all this week. I don't often bring up Black Moon Lilith, but it's pretty interesting. It's not a planetary body, it's a geometric point. It's the point in the Moon's orbit where it is farthest from the Sun. The darkest point. The shadows. What you cannot see. It represents our shadow side. The parts of ourselves we don't wish to acknowledge. The parts that we hide. The parts of ourselves other don't seem to accept. Our fears. Our hurts. Our 'dark sides'. It's also known as the shadow feminine. The types of females or aspects of females that aren't accepted. Sadly there's all sorts of aspects or ways females can be that haven't been accepted. So basically, a lot of this very hidden energy can come to surface now. Neptune urges us to transmute and transcend these shadows whatever they may be in our lives. They are part of the whole. Perhaps you won't feel whole until you accept all of yourself. The good, the bad and the ugly. The light AND the dark.

Last, but not least there's an awkward quincunx between the New Moon and Uranus. Quincunx's are when planets are in signs with absolutely nothing in common with each other. Completely incompatible. It's not even like there's tension. There's almost no connection. The New Moon is Libra is about this fresh start in relationships and connections. This beautiful sense of harmony and balance. Uranus is about change, shakeups, breaking free, even sometimes chaos. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. In the midst of these lovely new beginnings will there be some crazy shakeups that seem incompatible with it all? Do we want peace and harmony so bad we're not actually allowing radical change? Regardless there could be a touch of the unexpected that could play out here.

Overall this is a powerful time. There's such a sense of refreshed relationships. A sense of love and beauty. Yet it's not all unicorns and rainbows. There's this intense shadow aspect. This transmutation and healing . The lightness and darkness of life are meeting up in this perfect yin and yang to propel us forward. Perhaps that is where the true balance is coming from at this time.

Full Moon in Pisces: Time To Surrender

Tomorrow (September 13th 2019 at 9:32 PM PST) we are having a Full Moon in Pisces. This is going to be a big moment of surrender.

Full Moons are always made up of the Sun and Moon in opposite signs. This time we're dealing with the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces. As with all Full Moons, a culmination point has been reached and it's time to release some things. With all the Virgo energy lately it's about reordering your reality, so that it works better for you. Creating new routines. Being healthier in many ways. Having a more organized or healthy life. Healthier relationships. There's just been a reordering going on and it's still going on. Now in order to have that there truly needs to be release. Releasing what no longer serves you and doesn't belong in your reality. With this Pisces energy you also should surrender control a bit. Virgo energy can make us so nit picky sometimes, judgmental or perfectionistic. With this Full Moon it's important to let go of that. Those things aren't going to make your reality any better. That's where the Pisces element of surrender comes into play.

During this Full Moon, Mars in Virgo will be opposing Neptune in Pisces. This really heightens this need to surrender. Mars in Virgo can make us want to perfect everything. To sort everything out. To make a list. With the Neptune energy though things can seem unclear. Our energy can even seem to dissipate. We may want to figure everything out, but we may feel tired. Nothing can seem to make sense. Perfection can't seem to be reached. It could make some feel hopeless and like they want to give up. In a way it's best to give up though at this time. Not in a negative way. Just to surrender trying to figure it out. To just have a little bit of faith and trust. To trust that things are as they should be. To surrender to life, the universe and in a way trust that everything is working out as it should for you. Your biggest job right now is simply to surrender and release things from the past or emotions that aren't serving you anymore and don't belong in your new reality.

The Full Moon is also positively aspecting Pluto. Again this shows that this is a major opportunity to let old shit go and to transform. Very powerful transformation moment available here. Release those old feelings, old hurts etc. Release old patterns and habits that aren't good. We're creating a new day to day reality for ourselves. Release old things you don't want to feel on a daily basis. How do you want to feel? Release old patterns/ habits that aren't healthy or serving you anymore. Only stick to patterns and habits that bring a sense of wellbeing into your life. It's time to purify your life. Clean it up. Create a new healthier life and lifestyle.

The last aspect that is exact at the time of the Full Moon is that Mercury and Venus are conjunct. Not only is that significant, but the fact that they are conjunct at 29 degrees of Virgo. Each zodiac sign is made of 29 degrees and 59 minutes (not actual minutes). 29 being the last degree of a sign signifies an important turning point. With Venus involved in this conjunction this Full Moon can also bring turning points in relationships. With the conjunction to Mercury this can come through important realizations and conversations.

This is a pretty powerful Full Moon. It's a turning point, a time of transformation, a time of release and most of all a time of surrender. What would you like your reality to look like? Allow yourself to release what doesn't belong in it anymore. Allow yourself to change. To flow with the tide of transformation. To stop trying to sort out and perfect too much. Release and then surrender and enjoy the ride.

New Moon in Virgo: Cleaning Up, Getting Organized, and Becoming Healthier

Very early tomorrow (August 30th 2019) we are having a New Moon in Virgo. The Virgo energy will be high with 5 planetary bodies in Virgo. This New Moon marks a new starting point for the month ahead.

This is time for a reset, but in Virgo fashion. Not only do we have 5 planetary bodies in Virgo, but there are 8 in earth signs. The focus is definitely on our material lives, physical lives and on practical matters. At this new starting point it's important to get your life in order, to feel organized. Sort out your work life (it's a good time to start new jobs for some). Get your finances sorted out. If you're scattered in your physical life it's time to get organized. Sort out the details. If anything in your physical life is messy it's a good time to clean it up. Forget spring cleaning, it's time for some end of summer cleaning! It's also important to pay attention to your health and body at this time. Make some new promises to yourself for better self-care. Implement new health routines. Whether it's eating healthier, new exercise routines, skincare, better sleeping patterns or even routines to chill you out and get you in a better mental space like meditating. Our physical lives are where the attention is at. It's time to be organized and healthy.

Mars is the planet that's the most closely aligned with the New Moon. This is great because Mars propels us forward. It's time to move full steam ahead in your life, just in Virgo fashion. No rushing ahead impulsively. Do so in an organized and calculated way.

Mercury and Venus are also in Virgo at the time of the New Moon and are joined in this Virgo stellium. With Mercury our minds are ready to think practically and get things in order, which is helpful. With Venus this shows relationships can be involved in all this too. There could be some fresh beginnings in relationships. It's important to make sure relationships are in a healthy space at this time and that they are working well on an everyday level. It's wonderful and important to have all the romance, passion and fun, but it's also important to make sure relationships work practically speaking. To make sure they fit into our everyday lives as well. We're basically just taking stock of every area of our lives and making sure it all works out as it should. Then moving forward with it all.

The New Moon will be exactly trine Uranus in Taurus. We've been dealing with this Uranus energy all this week leading up to the New Moon as well. This is definitely a time of a lot of change. Our lives are changing. New things are coming together. Sure we need to have everything in order and all that, but not like how we used to. Our lives may be quite different than before, so we need to figure out how to organize and navigate in whatever new life you find yourself in or whatever changes you are going through. Just because some of this energy sounds boring and overly practical doesn't mean things should be stagnant or stay the same. With Uranus here, you need a breath of fresh air, some shake ups, some excitement amidst the need to be grounded.

Hope everyone has a great New Moon! This is the perfect energy to usher in September with. Sort out the new reality you would like, make any changes, get your life in order and move full steam ahead! Just make sure you don't fall into over perfectionism or being overly critical with all this Virgo energy. All this energy can really help make your material and physical life better however.

Full Moon in Aquarius: Owning Our Own Authenticity and Stepping into Heart Centered Relationships

Thursday, August 15th 2019 (5:29 AM PST). We are having a Full Moon in Aquarius. This is both a major culmination point and time of harvest as well as a time of release. There are so many aspects to talk about that are going on around this Full Moon!

Any lunar phase isn't about just the Moon, it's about the Moon in relation to the Sun. Therefore to look at the energy of a lunar event, both the energy of the Sun and the Moon are equally important. This Full Moon the Sun is in Leo and the Moon is in Aquarius.

Let's talk about this Leo energy first. There is so much energy in Leo right now! This is where the emphasis is at. We have the Sun, Venus, Mars and Mercury here. Even the asteroid Juno. At this time it's so important for everyone to be owning or stepping into their authentic selves. It's time to own who you really are and what aligns with you. It's time to shine. To just simply be yourself. With Venus in Leo it's important to love yourself. To acknowledge who you really are and love and accept that. It's also important to make sure you're in authentic relationships. Ones that are genuine that light up your heart. Relationships that honor who you really are. With Mars here it's time to exert your true self. Step into your power. Assert yourself and own who you are even if others don't like it. To pursue what it is you truly want. With Mercury here it's important you speak your truth. Express yourself. Share who you are with others/the world. Mercury also finally moves out of it's shadow period at the Full Moon, marking a time of moving forward, full steam ahead and integrating everything you've learned and realized through July. With asteroid Juno here it's important that you commit to your true self first and foremost. Then, that everything you commit to are things that feel aligned with you and your heart. Basically every seed you planted in the past month or so around living a more authentic life can come to harvest now. Lots of lovely things that are so true to you can really be blossoming. Anything that is not authentic, not aligned with who you are and doesn't make your heart sing needs to go now though. These are things that need to be released.

With the Moon in Aquarius, if you've been trying to fit in or please anyone in any way now is the time to let go of that. There's no room for fitting in with the energy that's going on. There's no room for people pleasing or giving up yourself and what really aligns with you and your heart. We dealt with major eclipses in Leo and Aquarius last summer, even had one in January. What did you learn about yourself and your life then? Some of these issues may come up for some people. Remember what you've learned. Don't go backwards. Aquarius is very mental and can be very detached as well. We kinda want to release detachment. Leo energy is about showing up fully. Being present. Being in the heart. Being love. It doesn't run away. Own the stage so to speak. Don't run away. Own who you are. What you do. What you want. What you feel. What and who you love. Detachment won't help anyone in the current energy.

Relationships are a big part of this energy for many people. Venus is conjunct the Sun during the Full Moon. Juno the asteroid of commitment and committed relationships is conjunct Mars. A lot of positive, authentic, heart centered relationships may be coming together for a lot of people. This can be super beautiful. On the flip side, if you are not in a good relationship, your heart isn't in it and it's not authentic and real, it's time to let go. If you've given yourself up for someone, that's not gonna fly. If you're in something that feels 'detached' or your heart's not in it, forget it. Detachment in relationships won't go over well in general. Leo energy is about showing up, being in the heart, not running away. Also, with Juno here it's more a time of positive commitment rather than being detached or non committal. Overall it looks like good things can be coming together for many people. It can be so beautiful because it's so great for being who you are as an individual, but it's also so great for relationships. What a perfect balance. So much love available for yourself and others.

I don't always mention asteroids, but the big asteroids are rather involved in this Full Moon. I've already talked about Juno, but Pallas Athene and Vesta are rather involved as well. Pallas Athene is roughly sextile all the Leo energy and trine the Moon and exactly sextile Juno. Pallas Athene is about wisdom. It's time to tap into our inner wisdom as well to make choices moving forwards. What do we know is right for us and is the right choice? Especially when committing to something or someone tap into that inner wisdom. Pallas Athene is in Libra. There's so much wisdom there about compromise, fairness and harmonious relationships. We can really tap into this wisdom to create very balanced situations and relationships in our lives. Vesta has to do with the 'inner flame' the divine spark within that we don't really share with anyone. It is ours alone. Vesta is square the Full Moon and Venus. This could mean one of two things. It's important that we don't dampen our inner flame or spark for others. Vesta is also associated with vestal virgins and virginity however, so also perhaps it's about sharing our inner flame. Not becoming an island unto yourself. There's a big balance this Full Moon between the self and relationships. Both are so important at this time.

Pluto is sneakily influencing the energy of the Full Moon as it was in a quincunx or an  inconjunct with the Sun and Venus the day before. This is the energy that shows there may be things lingering underneath the surface that need to be released for us to move forward in our lives both personally and in love. Is it emotions from the past? Outdated structures of some kind? Pluto rules the underworld and before you can fully step into the sunlight of Leo perhaps there's some stuff in the shadows that needs to be acknowledged and released. It can seem uncomfortable and incompatible with the current energy to do so. That's what  inconjuncts are. It's an aspect between planets in completely incompatible signs. It doesn't even hold the tension of a square or an opposition. It's just uncomfortable. As everyone is getting into the spotlight, owning their authentic selves and getting into the energy of love, they don't want to go down into the depths, face the shadows and release some outdated past shit. It still must be done though. It will be helpful to face and release these things. We have to accept the deepest darkness in order for us to step into the light. Issues around power and control could be lurking down there. Things that need to 'die' or finally be put to rest. Things that need to transform. Desires. Sexual desires or issues. Time to face, release or integrate it all.

Mercury is also about to trine Chiron at the time of the Full Moon. This is great for healing wounds around self-expression. Ability to express who we really are and our identities better. Very healing self aspect. Very healing aspect around sharing and communicating our truth.

Last aspect I want to talk about is that Neptune is now trine the North Node again as well. Neptune is in Pisces and the North Node is in Cancer. In the midst of all this energy never underestimate the power of following you emotions, intuition and going with the flow. When you're tuned into the flow of life and exactly what you want and feel, you will be much more likely to end up in a good space in your life. I wouldn't recommend forcing anything right now or going against what you feel.

What an intense Full Moon this is! So powerful though! So powerful for everyone's lives and who they are as an individual. Also, so powerful for relationships. Such beautiful, yet complex energy. There's a lot going on! Remember to own who you are, what you love and who you love. Embrace it all. The time is now to step into all of this fully.

New Moon in Leo: New Beginnings Aligned With Our Authentic Selves

We have finally come out of Eclipse season and Mercury is direct after three weeks of being retrograde! It's been an intense past month or so where everyone's been so encouraged to get in touch with and follow their emotions. Besides that there could have been major new things coming together and a lot of release of the old, especially emotionally. With Mercury Retrograde there could have been some reflection needed, some realizations about what you truly feel. Probably not complete clarity though about how it all plays out. Now with a New Moon in Leo, which happened last night here on the west coast (July 31st) and today in other time zones this really marks the beginning of a new chapter. Whatever new things came into being during Eclipse season, whatever you've realized, whatever you processed and realized, you can take everything you've learned and move forward!

With the New Moon happening in Leo you are able to start fresh in a way. Anything aligned with your authentic self can get going now. Wherever you are going and whatever you are starting should either jive with your true self, awaken your heart or help you live a life that allows you more freedom to be you and pursue the life you want. This is the key right now. Not just the Sun and the Moon, but Mars and Venus are also in Leo right now. Leo energy is all about showing up in your full authenticity, about having the courage to be yourself and follow your heart, it's about being creative and playful. About shining your light. It's regal. It's time to hold your head up high and own who you are, what you want and what speaks to your heart. This is all the energy we can tap into at the moment.

Mercury turning direct will bring more clarity. The clarity could take some time to show up since Mercury needs time to move back to the degree where it was before the retrograde. Still the clouds are parting and things may make more sense. Important communications can happen now. There is greater chance of being understood. Greater ability to express feelings. Also, the past can be much more laid to rest.

Recently the Sun squared Uranus and it still rather affects the New Moon. It's important that we liberate ourselves at this time. Holding onto anything old or unhealthy will probably just result in some crazy shakeups. Also, it's not a good idea to hold on to fear. You are free to be you. To live an authentic life. To follow your heart and express yourself from the heart. Free yourself! Even as the New Moon comes about there could be unexpected things that could come about.

Venus in Leo is playing a big part during this New Moon as well. Following our hearts in terms of relationships is important now. New beginnings with relationships are possible. Venus will be trine Chiron in Aries at the time of the New Moon. This means within this new beginning energy there is potential for relationship healing. Ability to heal some wounds around love and relationships. This can be very general, but because of the signs these planetary bodies are in, Leo and Aries, there can be a healing around getting to be who you really are in relationships. Healing from times you felt you couldn't be yourself or that it wasn't honored in a relationship. This can affect you within any relationship dynamic, not just romantic and it can also affect you if you're single. There's just a lot of self-love healing with this placement too. To really honor and accept who you truly are. To heal identity issues. To drop the masks. Also, great for healing and following what you really want in relationships. If previously you have not gone after the type of relationship you wanted, weren't in relationships that were true to your heart you can heal from that and move in a better direction.

Venus will also be squaring Uranus soon after the New Moon. Again, if you are holding onto the past or anything unhealthy in terms of relationships, expect some shakeups. You need to liberate yourself in terms of relationships. Free yourself to have excitement, passion and authentic love. Don't hold on to stagnation, what's no longer working, the fear etc. There could be any sort of unexpected things within the realm of relationships as well since we're dealing with Uranus.

It's truly exciting that this major Eclipse season is done. It's time to move into some new, more authentically aligned territory. Now we can express ourselves and have more clarity about the direction we are going in. It's a vibrant, exciting, courageous, loving and healing time. Also, unpredictable as Uranus in aspect could throw some curveballs.

A Word on Astrology

Hi everyone! I felt inspired today for all of you who have been reading my posts and who have worked with me to delve a little deeper into what astrology is and what I'm posting.

Astrology is the study of how the planets affect humans and human behavior. Basically how the planets affect the energy you could say. We all live within this universe and it makes sense to me that we are influenced by it's movements as everything is connected. When I work with people everything is based around their birth chart, which is a chart drawn up for the moment and place they were born. I like to see it that you are a piece of the universe and so that particular energy that was in play the minute you came into being becomes like a personal energy blueprint. Birth charts are only repeated every 25,000 years. After you take your first breath though, the planets keep moving and they have everyday since. They keep moving and affecting your birth chart showing constant evolution and change. You are not just part of this living fabric of the universe, but you are living in it and it is forever moving. The transits are what I talk about in these posts. Current planetary placements. They do affect everyone in a way because we all live on this planet, yet they affect everyone individually as well in completely different ways which I also look at when I work with people one on one.

The earliest birth chart found dates from 410 B.C., although acknowledgement that planets affect humans goes back even further. Rulers from Rome, monarchs from England's past and even presidents have been reliant on astrologers. Sadly though, at one point in time it faded into the background. As science gained strength people didn't want to believe what they couldn't prove, which is limiting to me. (Also, the reason they say it doesn't work is because they think the zodiac signs talked about are based on the constellations, but the zodiac signs come from the zodiac belt and don't have anything to do with the constellations in western astrology). Religion when it had gained strength condemned it as well as all sorts of other things. Again, limiting. Well more controlling I should say. It seems that ways of thinking such as astrology that are so in tune with the natural flow of life threatened the sense of control they wanted to exert. People have seemed out of touch with not only the universe's movements, but with the earth, the naturalness of their bodies etc. ever since. Eventually astrology made a come back in the 20th century with horoscopes and sun signs. Which is a shame because horoscopes are frivolous and basically don't tell you anything. Sun signs are very real, but when seen without the context of the rest of astrology they seem to show that astrology says you fit in one of twelve boxes. Back to the fact that birth charts are only repeated every 25,000 years, astrology actually shows everyone to be unique. Sun signs are just a part of that. These days 'true' astrology is alive and thriving, just it's not usually what people think about when they think about astrology.

There is a measure of belief that comes with being into astrology since we cannot prove that the movements of the planetary bodies affects us as humans. Yet it is most definitely not a belief system. It is a tool. Astrologers have always studied the planetary movements and they saw patterns emerge and studied how different placements affected people. This has been passed down and improved upon throughout the ages. To me it makes perfect sense. The more I got into it, it couldn't help but become a huge part of my life because it simply completely makes sense. There is just that gap in scientifically proving it. To me it is actually quite practical in a way. I don't need to know why it works, but it very much seems to.I  love being in the flow of life and the universe. Honestly, it's been a better way to live. Just because it jives so much with me doesn't mean it has to jive with all of you out there. I believe in keeping an open mind and questioning everything. I do like to say that personally for the most part I believe in nothing, yet I believe in infinite possibility.

What astrologers have discovered through their studies of astrology is the different energies of the different planets and their alignments. It's all just energy. We can't tell the future or predict anything. I certainly can't claim to know that. Just to understand the astrological symbols and what kind of energy they hold and what that could imply for our human lives. I try to put it in helpful human terms. There is still a mystery to all of it though and I believe it's what you choose to do with certain energies that can help determine how your future goes. That's why astrology is a helpful tool.

Whether astrology resonates and makes sense to you or not, I hope this post was helpful in getting to understand it a bit more. If you would like to join me in being in the cosmic flow you could say I will always be keeping everyone up to date on current energies. If you would like to delve deeper into your personal birth chart and how energies are affecting you personally if you message me I am always available to work with you. ✨

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn: Facing Your Own Emotional Underworld

On Tuesday we are having our second Eclipse of the season with a Full Moon partial Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn. We've been planting seeds for some major new beginnings since the Solar Eclipse in Cancer on the 2nd and we're a week into a three week Mercury Retrograde of reflection. Now it's time for some major release.

For this Eclipse we will have the Sun in Cancer near the North Node and the Moon in Capricorn near the South Node. The Nodes are basically the true Eclipse points and how close the Sun and Moon hit these points determine the totality of an Eclipse.

With the Sun near the North Node where the Solar Eclipse took place, we are moving towards Cancer energy. Moving towards getting more in touch with our feelings and emotions, discovering true emotional security within ourselves, nurturing ourselves, stepping into compassion and more mothering feminine energy. We're still doing that and this will majorly continue for the next six months.

Venus in Cancer is also near the North Node during this Eclipse. Relationships that are aligned with our hearts and feelings are now very important as well. Relationships are moving in the right direction. The day after the Eclipse Venus will exactly conjunct the North Node, which is so powerful for moving forwards in the right way with relationships. Not just relationships. This can be moving in the right direction where you are more open to love of all kinds and loving yourself deeper first and foremost. Also, projects close to your heart could positively come together and start moving forward. Things are just aligning in the right way when you follow your feelings at this time.

Mercury Retrograde is hanging out near all this energy as well. It'll still be in Leo at the time of the Eclipse. If you reflect and remember the time or times you regained your authenticity and continue on with that this will also help you move forward in the right way. Remember to speak your truth and to keep sharing who you really are with others.

With the Moon near the South Node there are lots of feelings to be released at this time as we move into the new. As we follow our hearts more, old buried feelings may come up that need to be released. When you open up more to your emotions it's not like you just get to feel the good feelings. The difficult ones will inevitably surface too. It's important to let go of whatever is down there for any suppressed feelings could be what's blocking you from your heart's desires.

Saturn is near the North Node during this Eclipse. We need to release outdated structures, ways of being, rigid attitudes, restrictions and on a greater scale some patriarchal attitudes. It's time to remove blocks and to break out of the box.

Saturn will be exactly opposing Venus though at the time of the Eclipse. What blocks, restrictions and past commitments are preventing you from having what you want? Especially in regards to relationships. The good news is that the day after, Venus conjuncts the North Node, so things are moving in the right direction. There are just things to release, restrictions to deal with and maybe some reality checks as well. Perhaps there are some real/physical world responsibilities that you have to balance with pursuing relationships and projects that are close to your heart. It's all about releasing blocks that are in your way and maintaining good balance in your life.

Last, but not least the Moon will be conjunct Pluto during the Eclipse. In degrees Pluto will be between the Moon and South Node during the Eclipse. This means Pluto is a key to moving on from the past. Pluto rules death. (Don't freak out about literal death, I don't go there with astrology) The death of the old. The death of outdated structures, rules and ways of being. Ultimately Pluto rules radical transformation. Put old feelings and situations that aren't serving you to rest at this time. Pluto also has to do with the underworld. Think about it as going down to your own underworld and facing everything that lurks there and cleaning it out. It's time to do that. You won't know what needs to be gotten rid of if you don't look at it.

It's been a powerful month and it's certainly not over yet. We are moving into completely new waters, which is amazing. At this time though we must release a lot in order to do so. The Solar Eclipse was the total Eclipse this month. The Lunar Eclipse will only be partial. This means it's much more about the new at this time. We are human though and this means that inevitably birth and death are part of life. You can't have one without the other. Cheers to releasing the shit from the past and moving into emotionally fulfilling new beginnings.

Mercury Retrograde in Leo and Cancer

July is just getting more interesting! We've had the first of the Eclipses and now we're heading into a Mercury Retrograde. It starts today, July 7th and ends July 31st. The Retrograde will start at 4 degrees Leo and end at 23 degrees Cancer. With the Retrograde happening in two signs we will be dealing with some different energies. As we're moving in major new directions in our lives with the Eclipses, there are some things we need to process and reflect on.

To start off it's a good idea to explain what is actually happening during a Mercury Retrograde. Mercury Retrogrades have been an astrological event that has gained a lot of popular hype, yet not too many people actually know what's going on. Mercury Retrogrades happen roughly three times a year. What everyone seems to know about Mercury Retrograde is that it looks like Mercury is moving backwards. The thing is, it's really not. It's actually closer to the earth than it is the rest of the time. We lose perspective therefore and it appears to be moving backwards. Since everything we look at astrologically is from the earth's perspective, when looking at astrology charts for the period of the retrograde, Mercury moves backwards in degrees within the zodiac, since that's what it appears to be doing. I feel like it's important to know all that to understand Mercury Retrograde.

The fact that Mercury is closer to the earth during this time is especially important to remember. It's energy is stronger during this time. Mercury rules communication and the mind. These are super heightened during a retrograde. It's so close though that sometimes we could become overloaded and also lose perspective. This is why communication can go awry and technology or appliances of any sort can crap out or go on the fritz. There is so much mental stimulation and while there may be some interesting thoughts and insights that crop up, all may not be clear till it turns direct again and we get our usual perspective back. Sometimes it's best to retreat a bit during this time. Some people may want to because the energy may be so intense that they may 'shut down' a bit. Regardless, it's a good idea to have patience at this time and to really take your time communicating. If there are miscommunications do your best to try and patch them up. It's also interesting to see what's going through your mind and what sort of insights you get. Some of these things may help you get more clear, but ultimate clarity is not something you may find at this time. Also, usually it's best for this reason to put off major decisions if you can until the retrograde is over. Some people get the idea that life just stops during Mercury Retrograde and that they can't move forward at all. This isn't true. Do what you need to do and follow what you think you should be doing, just take a lot more time with it. Really make sure you're doing the right thing. If there's something you really don't need to make a decision on this month though, perhaps wait. Decisions and things started during a Mercury Retrograde tend to end up differently than they started.

The fact that Mercury appears to be moving backwards does affect us as well though. Mercury Retrograde is known to bring up the past. Sometimes there are things from the past we need to think about or deal with. Things we need to reflect on. Finish something perhaps. Sometimes it just gets nostalgic, especially with this one when it re-enters Cancer around the 19th till the end of the month. People from the past crop up a lot during Mercury Retrograde. Very rarely does that mean you should go 'back' into any relationship if that happens. Sometimes someone may return and you need to deal with, heal or face something. About half the time there is no good reason, people from the past just kind of crop up or may think of you no matter how random it seems. Besides all this it's good to really reflect and to really process where you're going next in your life. This is a particularly big deal right now because with these Eclipses lots is probably changing and happening in your life. That's also why it's not like things are 'stopped' right now. It's good to remember to take time to process where you've been, what you're moving away from, what has ended and where you are currently going. It's a major time and there's a lot to process. Giving yourself adequate time to retreat sometimes during this period is important and can be helpful.

Leo
We're starting off the retrograde in the sign of Leo, where it will be till the 19th. This part of the retrograde can bring up things you learned last summer or even around the end of January. With Eclipses during those times that dealt with Leo energy. We also actually had a Mercury Retrograde during last summer in Leo as well. It's like as we're experiencing this new Eclipse season and new lessons, we're being reminded of what we've learned before, so we can integrate it all. This part of the retrograde can really help us get in touch with our authentic truth. Helping us question whether we are living a life in alignment with who we really are and our particular interests and talents. Helping us get in touch with expressing ourselves authentically as well. It's important for us all to take stock of this, so that we can live fulfilling lives and as our lives change course during this intense time that we make sure our new course is in alignment with who we really are. That wherever we are going next we show up fully and in our authenticity. Remember that you are the queen or king of your own kingdom. People may really want attention and for their truth to be heard during this time. Sometimes people could get frustrated. Any miscommunications during this time could possibly come from frustrations around feeling like you can't fully express yourself. Be patient with yourself and others. Also, honor your own truth and other's truths as well.

Cancer
From the 19th to the 31st, Mercury will be retrograde in Cancer. Just when it looks like we're done exploring feelings and getting more in touch with our emotions, Mercury brings them majorly to your attention. This period of time could get quite emotional. There may be lots of feelings to process especially from the past. There may be some feelings staring you in the face that you haven't had time to deal with yet, but you need to in order to move forward. This is the part of the retrograde where the past may come up more intensely and this is the time that could get quite nostalgic as well. Could be a time where people really want to spend time with their families as well. This could also be more of a time where the overload factor could kick in and therefore there may need to be times where you can retreat. Self-care will be important. Miscommunications at this time could be more likely to be about emotional things or because of something that is emotionally charged. Try to be clear when expressing your emotions and try to be open to listening to others.

Lots of people find Mercury Retrograde annoying, but retrogrades serve a purpose. They just involve more patience, extra caution since everything can be so abuzz and adequate time to reflect and process. It should be helpful to have this time during Eclipse season as our lives are majorly changing course. It's different for everyone though and it's more intense for some than for others. If you're familiar with your chart, see where 23 degrees Cancer to 4 degrees of Leo falls in your chart or if you have any planets between there. I am always available for transit readings though, to see how this retrograde and these Eclipses are affecting you.

Solar Eclipse in Cancer: Following the Siren Call to Get in Touch With the Depths of Your Feelings

The energy has been building lately to Eclipse season, which is finally here with a Solar Eclipse in Cancer this Tuesday July 2nd 2019. This is a powerful astrological event that is kicking off a powerful month.

Solar Eclipse Basics
A Solar Eclipse happens during a New Moon when the Sun and Moon are on the same side of the Earth and the Moon blocks out the Sun from our sight. With this Solar Eclipse I believe it will only be visible in certain places in South America, not North America. Basically to have a total Eclipse the Moon has to conjunct one of the Lunar Nodes. The North Node is the northern most point that the Moon can cross the ecliptic (the 'apparent' path of the Sun around the Earth) and the South Node the southern most point during a New or Full Moon. During this particular Solar Eclipse the Moon will be conjunct the North Node. The North Node point has been in Cancer this year making it an important energy all year long, but it comes into action when the Moon aligns with it for the Solar Eclipse.

Astrology Eclipse Basics
In Astrology the sign the North Node of the Moon is in represents an energy that we need to move towards as a collective and therefore on an individual level. If you have your personal chart looked at you would see more specifics about the energy you personally need to move towards and learn. The sign the South Node of the Moon is in represents an energy that needs to be balanced with the energy of the North Node, but also represents some energy to move away from. With this Solar Eclipse happening on the North Node there's an emphasis on moving towards this new energy and into new beginnings, In fact Eclipse seasons tend to bring plenty of important new beginnings and can also be major times of release. You may find this Solar Eclipse particularly ushers in new beginnings, although there can be a mix of endings and beginnings emphasized all July.

☆January Eclipses☆
In order to understand this upcoming Eclipse season it's important to understand the January Eclipse season and to look back at that. It's interesting to think about what you were going through and letting go of at that time. Also, not just at that time, but how that impacted your past 6 months. We dealt a lot with the South Node in January and moving away from the past. In fact in some way you may have been continually moving on from the past in some way the last 6 months. Particularly from things that made you feel secure physically or materially that weren't serving you. Any clinging to things out of some sense of physical or material security. Relying on things outside of yourself for security. As we have been working through releasing these things that seemed more practical or secure somehow in a physical/material way we can move more into opening up to our feelings now and having things in our life that we want, that sparks our emotions and hearts instead of sticking with things out of obligation or unhealthy 'security'. Although, while there was release going on at that time it could have marked a period of time of getting your physical life balanced in a healthy way, to build a firm foundation when it came time to focus on the emotional aspect of things. The Lunar Eclipse during January didn't just bring up Cancer-Capricorn energy however, but also touched on Leo-Aquarius energy that had to do with the Eclipses of last summer. Basically we ended January with a theme that continued to evolve the past 6 months. That it was time to embrace the truth of your being. Time to follow your heart and emotions. That you should no longer do things to fit in, please others, or hold on to anything for a sense of safety of security. No more holding onto things for practicality or just cause it made sense mentally. Those themes have led us to where we are now where it's all about getting in touch with our feelings and emotions.

Cancer Energy

During this time and peaking with these Eclipses we are getting more into Cancer energy. Cancer is a water sign and is ruled by the Moon. Both of these things mean it has a lot to do with emotions and feelings. The Moon changes signs the most frequently of any planetary body and goes through different phases throughout the month. Thus, our moods and feelings are fluid and forever changing. It's important to get more in touch with our fluctuating moods and various feelings. The South Node has been in Capricorn, which is ruled by Saturn. For too long there's been such a rigid attitude about life. A harsh 'you got to do what you got to do' attitude. An attitude of suppressing feelings cause they are a sign of weakness or just get in the way. An extreme focus on material security and success. An attitude that this is a 'dog eat dog world'. We have gotten to the point where this has suppressed our emotions and the ever changing nature of our inner world. It's time to get in touch with what we feel again. To let out suppressed emotion. To allow ourselves the freedom to feel. To feel anything and everything that comes up and has been suppressed within our souls. To nurture and accept ourselves for whatever we may feel without judgement. To have compassion and love for ourselves, which can then have a ripple affect towards how we act in regards to others. To break free from rigidity. To break out of that box. To break free from the box in which you have stuffed your feelings. The box where you have been taught to be a well functioning drone. It's time to discover the feelings you have kept down. Any suppression of feelings isn't serving anyone anymore. It's time to get in touch with the fluidity of feelings in an ever changing emotional landscape. Yes, Eclipse seasons can be seen as 'fated' times. Basically they are just times where you have the capability of getting on the right path and new things coming together. Of course it's up to you though. Anything new in your life is going to come about because of being in tune with your feelings. It's all about what feels right and what your heart wants.

Cancer is a mother energy and if you think about it everyone has an inner mother and an inner father. Perhaps they are just like how your parents were, perhaps not. It's time to mother ourselves however. Do you have a nurturing inner mother who accepts you and your feelings? Or is your inner father stronger and do you try to make him proud and therefore get overly practical, over achieving and shove down those 'messy' feelings? It's time to accept yourself. To nurture yourself and have compassion for yourself. Perhaps you think you can't nurture yourself and you're waiting for someone else to come along and do it for you. Your first responsibility is to your own self. Nobody is going to love or nurture you if you don't give those things to your own self. Self-care is something you should not pass up at this time. Does the thought of self-care seem like a waste of time or something frivolous that you're not entitled to? Well this energy is here to show you otherwise. In order to be successful and to do the practical things we need to do, we need to take care of ourselves so that we can function better. This can be a mix of taking care of your physical body and your mental and emotional self. The world has come to point where it's not going well with people who don't know how to take care of themselves , who are over worked, are cut off from their emotions and who don't have compassion for others. The Nodes and therefore the Eclipses always bring up a shift in energy that the world needs. The more people that deal with these things on an individual level, then things start to shift just a little bit. Of course on a personal level it will be much better for you if you shift into this energy. It will align you to a better way of life and better opportunities. It's kind of like the world's heart is hurting or is even shut off right now. Things are also way too rooted in  patriarchal structures, which this Capricorn South Node energy shows we need to move away from. I mean just look around you. The old structures are not working and things are starting to shift. These Eclipses are just a part of that.

Of course we can't just get into emotions, nurturing energy, following our hearts and all that jazz without a polarizing force to balance us. That polarizing force is the South Node in Capricorn. Saturn will be exactly conjunct it during the Eclipse as well. We do live in this physical existence and this physical reality has restrictions, which we are reminded of with Saturn's involvement. We still have to function in this physical reality. There are very real responsibilities. From work, to finances to your physical body. You have to remember and balance your physical world responsibilities with your attention to your ever changing emotions and your ability to follow and nurture them. There's always a balance in life. Things have just gotten out of balance.

Yes, things on a global scale are changing you could say. The structures of society and of governments are changing. The energy is building right now to the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn in January of 2020. These Eclipses are just part of that building energy. Certain societal structures are not working and there are shifts happening. Like I said before we are moving away from some structures that are overly patriarchal. No, it's not like we're going to end up living a drastically different life and end up living in a matriarchy or something. Things don't shift so extremely. The shifts will probably be more subtle. More of a balance could come about. Some structures in the government or in society could get quite tumultuous. I means this Solar Eclipse will be affecting the Solar Return of the United States. Basically the 'birthday' chart of the country for the next year. There's definitely changes coming just sayin'. Anyways, I personally don't really focus on world events etc. with astrology. My speciality and focus is on the personal. Besides I believe it all starts with individuals. It's the only thing you have control of anyways. You can't really go out right now and change the world as wonderful as the sentiment is. You can change your world though, little by little. This is just another opportunity too. One of many on this journey of life. As the wonderful Fernando Pessoa said in his surreal The Book of Disquiet 'A sensitive and honest-minded man, if he's concerned about evil and injustice in the world, will naturally begin his campaign against them by eliminating them at their nearest source: his own person. This task will take his entire life.'

Basically this Solar Eclipse is ushering in a new emotional based energy and new things in your life in alignment with that. With Saturn on the South Node though we are reminded of restrictions of the physical world and our responsibilities at the same time. They must be in balance. We've had lots of planetary energy in Cancer lately already bringing up all those feels. Funny enough, at the time of the Eclipse Mars and Mercury will be in Leo. This is significant because of the Eclipses last summer in Leo and Aquarius. As we're integrating new lessons and energies we're reminded of what we've learned before. That it's important that we remain aligned with our authentic selves. That anything new in our life we connect to from the heart, feels authentic and allows us to be our true selves. Remember the power of your true authentic self. How good it feels to allow yourself to be exactly who you truly are. Get in touch with your true feelings and own who you really are. This is where the magic lies right now.

Also, I have to mention that this Cancer- Capricorn energy brings up a lot having to do with security. It's important to find true security within ourselves and not to put all of your sense of security in things or people outside of you. There definitely is a big search for emotional security right now. Just make sure what you seek out is from a healthy, balanced place and that ultimately you feel secure within yourself.

A smaller aspect going on at the time of the Solar Eclipse is that asteroid Juno is conjunct Mercury in Leo, trine Chiron in Aries and square Uranus in Taurus. There's a lot going on around committed relationships potentially. There could be new commitments or freedom from old wounds. There can be wounds healing in regards to relationships, particularly around whether you can be your authentic self within them and how they impact your identity. It's important to only enter into relationships that are heart based, that are authentic and allow you to be your complete self. Two complete people coming together to share. It's important to break free on the other hand from limiting partnerships or patterns from the past. There can be new things here, but they have to be aligned with your feelings, you have to be allowed to be your true self, and they can't be restrictive basically. Venus will also be in Cancer soon bringing more of an emotional emphasis on relationships etc. It's just one area of life that can be changing right now, that is shown by this energy. Really all areas of life of shifting though. Like I said it depends on your chart. It could be work, finances, home, pursuing personal interest or dreams etc. as well. It could just be a lot of shifts on an inner level. There can be so much changing on the inner level regardless. Many areas of your life could change. You could have new beginnings in one area and endings in another. This is what Eclipse seasons tend to bring about.

🌊If you look at the lovely painting I have pictured above, during this time it's kind of like your emotions and feelings are sirens that are calling you to the depths of your own being. To draw you into the intense depths and fluid flow of your feelings. Listen to the call. Let yourself be drawn in and seduced. Don't stay up top. If you think of your life right now as a ship that you are sailing think about how small and limited it is compared to the whole ocean. Ships are so small and limiting compared to the vastness and depth of the ocean. Perhaps it feels safe, but it's always vulnerable. The ocean is profoundly powerful. So are our feelings. We could try to suppress them, but one day they will probably surface and overpower us anyways. We can't run from them. You'll be happier now and able to have better opportunities if you just surrender. So go on and heed the call of your inner siren. 🌊

P.S If you would like to know how this Eclipse season is particularly affecting you I'm always available for personal readings, so message me and we can set up a time to look at your chart. Also, I feel like I have so much more to say and explain about these Eclipses it's hard to get it all out, so I may do some sort of facebook live or something where I can be more free to ramble and really get into all of this. No promises, but potentially look out for that!
