New Moon in Libra : A Fresh Start Amidst the Light and the Shadows

On Saturday September 28th 2019, we have a New Moon in Libra in the morning. This New Moon can mark a new beginning for relationships and also for regaining a sense of balance and harmony in our lives.

Libra is a sign that is all about connecting one on one with others. It's about connection, harmony, balance, fairness, justice, peace, beauty, art and love. With a New Moon in this lovely sign, so many are facing an ability to start fresh in a way within different types of relationships. This can be a time where you agree to compromise and regain balance in relations with others. Always remember as well to balance your relationship with yourself with your relationship to others. This is a time to start a phase that is more balanced.

Leading up to the New Moon the Sun opposes Chiron, so it's still loosely in affect during the New Moon. While there's a big focus on relationships, there's also focus on our own selves. Healing issues around identity, individuality and independence. Relationships could even be a mirror at this time to show you what you need to heal in your relationship to yourself. It can be an empowering time though at the end of the day. Since this aspect was exact a couple days before the New Moon and is technically moving on, this New Moon could bring the sense of being able to move on from our personal wounds. Getting past them. Getting over them.

In terms of relationship stuff this New Moon can be really interesting because it's kind of connected to lunar cycles we had in late March and throughout April. How is your life in terms of relationships (or maybe in general) connected to that period? How far have you come? Are you able to start fresh with something that was going on back then? Are you finally free to have what you wanted then, but needed to grow through some things first?

Venus in Libra will be making an awesome sextile to Jupiter in Sagittarius at the time of the New Moon. This is lucky, positive, expansive energy for relationships. This bodes especially well for romantic relationships. There can be this wonderful balance and growth towards the future. There's romance and optimism available. There's beauty if you look for it.

I've talked about this recently, but I'll talk about it again. Neptune and Black Moon Lilith have been conjunct in Pisces all this week. I don't often bring up Black Moon Lilith, but it's pretty interesting. It's not a planetary body, it's a geometric point. It's the point in the Moon's orbit where it is farthest from the Sun. The darkest point. The shadows. What you cannot see. It represents our shadow side. The parts of ourselves we don't wish to acknowledge. The parts that we hide. The parts of ourselves other don't seem to accept. Our fears. Our hurts. Our 'dark sides'. It's also known as the shadow feminine. The types of females or aspects of females that aren't accepted. Sadly there's all sorts of aspects or ways females can be that haven't been accepted. So basically, a lot of this very hidden energy can come to surface now. Neptune urges us to transmute and transcend these shadows whatever they may be in our lives. They are part of the whole. Perhaps you won't feel whole until you accept all of yourself. The good, the bad and the ugly. The light AND the dark.

Last, but not least there's an awkward quincunx between the New Moon and Uranus. Quincunx's are when planets are in signs with absolutely nothing in common with each other. Completely incompatible. It's not even like there's tension. There's almost no connection. The New Moon is Libra is about this fresh start in relationships and connections. This beautiful sense of harmony and balance. Uranus is about change, shakeups, breaking free, even sometimes chaos. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. In the midst of these lovely new beginnings will there be some crazy shakeups that seem incompatible with it all? Do we want peace and harmony so bad we're not actually allowing radical change? Regardless there could be a touch of the unexpected that could play out here.

Overall this is a powerful time. There's such a sense of refreshed relationships. A sense of love and beauty. Yet it's not all unicorns and rainbows. There's this intense shadow aspect. This transmutation and healing . The lightness and darkness of life are meeting up in this perfect yin and yang to propel us forward. Perhaps that is where the true balance is coming from at this time.

Full Moon in Pisces: Time To Surrender

Tomorrow (September 13th 2019 at 9:32 PM PST) we are having a Full Moon in Pisces. This is going to be a big moment of surrender.

Full Moons are always made up of the Sun and Moon in opposite signs. This time we're dealing with the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces. As with all Full Moons, a culmination point has been reached and it's time to release some things. With all the Virgo energy lately it's about reordering your reality, so that it works better for you. Creating new routines. Being healthier in many ways. Having a more organized or healthy life. Healthier relationships. There's just been a reordering going on and it's still going on. Now in order to have that there truly needs to be release. Releasing what no longer serves you and doesn't belong in your reality. With this Pisces energy you also should surrender control a bit. Virgo energy can make us so nit picky sometimes, judgmental or perfectionistic. With this Full Moon it's important to let go of that. Those things aren't going to make your reality any better. That's where the Pisces element of surrender comes into play.

During this Full Moon, Mars in Virgo will be opposing Neptune in Pisces. This really heightens this need to surrender. Mars in Virgo can make us want to perfect everything. To sort everything out. To make a list. With the Neptune energy though things can seem unclear. Our energy can even seem to dissipate. We may want to figure everything out, but we may feel tired. Nothing can seem to make sense. Perfection can't seem to be reached. It could make some feel hopeless and like they want to give up. In a way it's best to give up though at this time. Not in a negative way. Just to surrender trying to figure it out. To just have a little bit of faith and trust. To trust that things are as they should be. To surrender to life, the universe and in a way trust that everything is working out as it should for you. Your biggest job right now is simply to surrender and release things from the past or emotions that aren't serving you anymore and don't belong in your new reality.

The Full Moon is also positively aspecting Pluto. Again this shows that this is a major opportunity to let old shit go and to transform. Very powerful transformation moment available here. Release those old feelings, old hurts etc. Release old patterns and habits that aren't good. We're creating a new day to day reality for ourselves. Release old things you don't want to feel on a daily basis. How do you want to feel? Release old patterns/ habits that aren't healthy or serving you anymore. Only stick to patterns and habits that bring a sense of wellbeing into your life. It's time to purify your life. Clean it up. Create a new healthier life and lifestyle.

The last aspect that is exact at the time of the Full Moon is that Mercury and Venus are conjunct. Not only is that significant, but the fact that they are conjunct at 29 degrees of Virgo. Each zodiac sign is made of 29 degrees and 59 minutes (not actual minutes). 29 being the last degree of a sign signifies an important turning point. With Venus involved in this conjunction this Full Moon can also bring turning points in relationships. With the conjunction to Mercury this can come through important realizations and conversations.

This is a pretty powerful Full Moon. It's a turning point, a time of transformation, a time of release and most of all a time of surrender. What would you like your reality to look like? Allow yourself to release what doesn't belong in it anymore. Allow yourself to change. To flow with the tide of transformation. To stop trying to sort out and perfect too much. Release and then surrender and enjoy the ride.
