Full Moon in Capricorn: A Crazy Full Moon

Today (July 1st 2015)  there is a Full Moon in Capricorn at 7:20 PM (PST). This is an intense Full Moon that involves a lot of planetary aspects.

The Full Moon in Capricorn and the Sun in Cancer mean that some people may find that they need to bring their work and home life back into balance. Issues around both areas of life are likely to come up. This Full Moon it is important to release any fears that are imprisoning you, so that you can become empowered. This Full Moon may also be quite emotional and many people may feel fearful or moody.

Now to talk about all the crazy aspects. The first aspect is Mars conjunct the Sun and opposing the Moon. This brings a frustrating energy to the forefront. With this aspect many people may find that they are moving residence, or having arguments or issues surrounding their home. The second aspect is Pluto conjunct the Moon and opposing the Sun. This aspect may bring about some big transformations. Releasing fears will be important, so that transformation can take place. This aspect may bring about changes in career or work for some. The Third aspect is the Nodes square both the Moon and the Sun. This means that some karma may come up. There will also be an emphasis on following your life purpose. You may be nudged in the right direction at this time, so that you can live your life purpose. The last aspect to the Full Moon is Neptune trine the Sun. This may bring some confusing energy, but it can also bring intuitive insights and vivid dreams.

Besides all the aspects to the Full Moon, Venus will be conjunct Jupiter and Uranus will be trine those two planets. This is a very positive configuration that should bring about some big changes and growth, particularly in relationships. This is a very lucky configuration as well, so be prepared for an unexpected lucky break.

This is quite a busy Full Moon overall! Lots of changes are coming for all of us. You may feel emotional, frustrated or like your life is falling apart, yet all this can change for the better. With all this crazy energy you can expect that in the next month your life will change drastically in one way or another. It sounds scary, but it really is super positive. I wish you all the best and that all your lives change this month for the better!

Full Moon in Sagittarius: The Neptunian Full Moon

Today ( June 2nd 2015) there is a Full Moon in Sagittarius. Sagittarius is an optimistic and uplifting sign, but this Full Moon may be surprisingly intense because of some aspects being made to it.

The biggest aspect being made to the Full Moon is a square to Neptune. Neptune may make this Full Moon feel emotional and confusing. Everyone may be feeling really sensitive right now and Neptune can bring to the surface any psychological issues that have not been dealt with. Neptune can make everything seem so foggy and you may not be able to get the clarity you may be seeking. On a positive note Neptune represents our connection to source and spirit. Use this connection to gain a sort of spiritual power this Full Moon.

The other two aspects being made are Mercury and Mars opposing the Moon. Mercury is retrograde right now, so it's opposition further shows that there may be some fogginess in everyone's thinking. Emotionally, communication could be frustrating right now. Mars opposing the Moon shows some aggression, there might be some tension and anger in the air.

The energy sounds really crazy I know, but this Full Moon has an important purpose that can influence your life positively. This Full Moon is in Sagittarius, which means that it is time to let go of old beliefs that are no longer serving you. It's time to change your thinking for the better. Whatever you believe, you can manifest into your life. If you have been saying things like "I'm not good enough", "I  can never be happy" etc. you have to change those beliefs! Start believing in yourself and what you can do and you can change your life for the better.

Overall this Full Moon may be a bit tense and emotional. Use this time though to review what it is you believe and change the tapes out that you are constantly playing in your head. Stop believing you can't and start believing you can.

Mercury Retrograde in Gemini: Retreat, Reflect and Rejuvenate

Today, May 18th 2015 Mercury is turning retrograde in Gemini. This retrograde will last until June 11th. I'm sure the thought of a Mercury Retrograde sends some of you into panic mode, but it really isn't as bad as you may think.  Mercury Retrograde doesn't mean anything bad will happen, it just means that some things may be slow or frustrating.

Mercury Retrograde is probably particularly frustrating in contemporary times because we expect communication to be fast, we don't have a lot of patience, and we forget how to slow down and take it easy. If you remember the three R's of Mercury Retrograde: Retreat, Reflect and Rejuvenate, you shouldn't have too bad of a time. Mercury is in Gemini this retrograde . Mercury and Gemini both rule the mind. During a retrograde we are urged to turn our minds inwards to reflect on and review our lives. Starting new projects isn't a good idea, instead let yourself have some contemplation time. Let yourself rest during this period of time. Try to stay in and not go out when you have free time. Take some relaxing bubble baths, take some naps, watch some of your favorite movies or prepare some homemade meals.

If you slow down and have some patience hopefully you won't get too frustrated. Communication, technology and travel plans still could get a bit mixed up and confusing though. You just have to roll with the punches. Starting new things isn't a good idea because they may not turn out very well. This is also not a good time to begin new relationships. However, it is a good time to catch up with old friends you haven't talked to in a while.

Overall Mercury Retrograde is what you make of it. Yes this may be a annoying time, but give yourself some much needed rest and downtime and you can turn this time into something positive.

New Moon in Taurus: Stability, Pleasure and Manifestation

On May 17th 2015 at 9:13 PM (PST) there will be a New Moon in Taurus. This will be a rather calm New Moon as there is not a whole lot going on around it.

New Moons are times of new beginnings. They are like a ray of sunshine after Full Moons, which are usually intense. The last Full Moon we had was in Scorpio and it was particularly intense. It was all about releasing deep-seated issues and transforming. Now that that's over the New Moon in Taurus will help us regain some stability in our lives. We can plant the seeds of what we would like in our lives and watch them grow as this is a great time to manifest.

Taurus is ruled by Venus the planet of love and pleasure. This means that this New Moon you may feel the love that is all around you and you may want to partake in some material and physical pleasures. This is a good time to enjoy good food, spend time with a loved one,  go on long walks, take naps in the sun or tend to your garden if you have one. This New Moon is basically really pleasant and you can sit back and enjoy yourself. Mercury turns retrograde the day after the New Moon, so communication could get a bit weird. If you take it slow, which is easy to do when there is Taurus energy, you should be able to enjoy yourself and not be too affected by the slow communication.

Overall this is a lovely New Moon, so take advantage! Let yourself enjoy the pleasures that life has to offer, let yourself find some stability in your life, and plant the seeds of what you would like to manifest in your life during this New Moon.

Full Moon in Scorpio: Transformation is the Key

On May 3rd 2015 at 8:42  PM (PST) there will be a Full Moon in Scorpio. This will be a very intense Full Moon, but one that will hopefully help us change for the better.

Full Moon's are all about letting go. With the Moon in Scorpio, we won't only be letting go, we will have to transform as well. Scorpio energy urges us to transform from measly little caterpillars to beautiful butterflies. Scorpio doesn't let us stay stuck in our problems forever, it wants us to rise above them and become the best version of ourselves. How we can transform during this Full Moon is by letting go. The thing we will have to let go of will be our deep-seated fears and worries. On a day to day basis it's easy to shove our fears deep down and not deal with them, but Scorpio shines a light on the subconscious making our fears and worries surface. In the past few days if you have felt old fears surface, this means that you must them go during this Full Moon. Some particular fears that may surface may have to do with power, control, other people's money, emotions and sexuality. These are all Scorpio themes.

Pluto is also involved in this Full Moon as it will be trine the Sun. Pluto is the planet that rules Scorpio, so this will just further intensify the energy. Basically there will probably be a big urge to transform for many of you. Jupiter is also involved and will be directly square both the Sun and the Moon. Jupiter wants us to expand and grow. Sounds quite similar to the Scorpio and Pluto themes doesn't it?

The Sun will be in Taurus during the Full Moon and represents the final goal of the Full Moon: to become stable. We must transform and change to achieve stability, which sounds like a bit of a paradox. For us to lead stable, comfortable lives we can't hang on to the old fears. This is what the Scorpio and Taurus energy is trying to show us.

Overall this is going to be an intense Full Moon and may be quite emotional as well, since Scorpio is a water sign. The energy the past few days has been intense leading up to this Full Moon, so if you have experienced any sort of accident, mishap or emotional outburst, you can probably blame it on the Full Moon. This is an important opportunity for soul growth though, so accept this chance to change with arms wide open. Embody the phoenix or the butterfly, two creatures that represent the ultimate goal of Scorpio energy.

Libra Lunar Eclipse: Sink or Swim

Tomorrow, April 4th 2015 at 5:05 AM (PST) there will be a Lunar Eclipse in Libra. Eclipses are always quite intense, but this will be more intense than usual because it is going to be a total eclipse.

Lunar Eclipses are always about release. We have to let go of what is no longer serving us, during this time. The two zodiac signs that are involved in this Eclipse are Aries and Libra. This means that during this time we must find compromise and harmony within our relationships. If anything is holding you back from having a balanced and harmonious life, than it is time to let it go. The Nodes are conjunct this Eclipse, which further shows how important it is for our life purpose to find harmony and balance. If you are selfish and don't give of yourself, than this is the time to stop that behavior. On the flip side, if you are always sacrificing yourself, than you need to give to yourself as well to bring everything back into balance.

Lunar Eclipses can be quite emotional, so just remember that if any feelings come up and just know that you need to ride them out. Uranus is conjunct the Sun during the Eclipse, so there may be some unpredictable surprises. With Uranus, you never know what may happen. I don't know whether I should bring this up or not, but Uranus and Full Moons have been known to influence earthquakes, so with the combination of these influences I wouldn't be surprised if there was an earthquake somewhere in the world.

Astrologically speaking, there have been a lot of events going on recently that have been intense and have pushed us to grow. This Eclipse is just another step on this path of growth and learning. During the Eclipse the Sun and the Moon will both be square Pluto. This is very intense and will push us to transform. With Pluto in the mix we either sink or swim. You can either drown in your problems and never attempt to better yourself or you can acknowledge what needs changing in your life and act accordingly. The only way to survive is to choose to swim, so I highly suggest that you decide to grow and learn. It will make your life easier and help you to personally grow in leaps and bounds.

I wish you all the best during this Eclipse and that it helps you all to regain balance and harmony in your life. Remember that compromise is key to a happy life and that the only way to go is up and onward. Also, don't forget Pluto's lesson that you must swim or you will drown. Everyone has problems, but your life will only be miserable if you hold on to them. So take advantage of this powerful Lunar Eclipse and release!

Pisces Solar Eclipse: Starting Fresh and Feeling Whole Again

Tomorrow, March 20th 2015 at 2:36 AM (PST) there will be a Pisces Solar Eclipse. This is a very powerful Eclipse and a great opportunity for everyone to start fresh.

We've been hit hard recently with some intense astrological events such as Saturn's retrograde and the Pluto and Uranus square that we've had going on for awhile. Perhaps there has been lots of turmoil in your life and stress as well. This Solar Eclipse may give you the opportunity to start over  though.

There will be a lot of planets in Pisces at the time of the Eclipse. The Sun and the Moon of course, but also Chiron, Mercury and Neptune. Needless to say, the Pisces energy will be strong. This Solar Eclipse may help get some of your imaginations going. This could potentially be a really creative time. Dreams may be more powerful around this Solar Eclipse as well. Many of you could have vivid dreams and some of you may feel they contain important messages. Chiron is prominent in the Solar Eclipse because it is relatively close in degree to the Eclipse, although not close enough to make an aspect. Chiron's energy may make some of you decide to heal your wounds once and for all. Pisces is a water sign, so emotions may run high around the Eclipse. Whatever the Eclipse makes you feel, the Pisces energy should hopefully at least make you feel connected to source. This may make some of you feel a sense of wholeness you have not felt in a long time.

Overall, this Eclipse is a great thing. It will give us a new beginning that I think is very important and much needed at this time. It could give us all a chance at healing our wounds and feeling whole again.

Virgo Full Moon: Releasing Feelings of Inadequacy

Tomorrow, March 5th 2015 at 10:05 AM (PST) there will be a Full Moon in Virgo. This isn't a super intense Full Moon, but the energy is still pretty strong.

Full Moon's are always an important time to release and let go of what no longer serves us. With the Full Moon in Virgo the most important thing to let go of is criticism and the need to be perfect. Nobody is perfect and self criticism is not going to get you anywhere. The only thing these actions will affect is your self-esteem and not in a very good way. If you are constantly telling yourself that you are not perfect and you constantly criticize yourself and tell yourself you're not worthy, all you will do is spiral down into the abyss of self loathing. This is not a good thing and this Full Moon urges us to let go of those negative tendencies. The Sun in Pisces is at the other half of this Full Moon and Pisces has an energy that reminds us that at the core of our beings we are all perfect and loved. This Pisces energy is important to tap into this Full Moon if you have been having self-esteem issues.

The Pisces Sun is also urging us to get out of our heads and to follow our hearts as well. This is a great thing to do and may also help self-esteem issues because when you are in your head perhaps you compare yourself to other people and start to feel bad about yourself. If you are following your heart though, you may realize that everyone is following their own special path and that you are special in your own right. The Pisces heart centered energy may make some of you feel creative as well. Creativity is a great way to release pent up feelings, so creative pursuits are always  good Full Moon activities

Pluto will be trine the Full Moon. Pluto is known as the most intense planet, but because it is trine the Moon it will be helping us out in a positive way. Pluto is all about transformation,  so on this Full Moon we must transform are thoughts and feelings and release those that are not beneficial to us.

During this Full Moon the Virgo energy may help some of us become more organized and grounded as well. This is a good thing with all the Pisces energy going on! A Full Moon happens when the Moon is opposing the Sun, so there are always two energies pulling us in two different directions. With this Full Moon the two energies are that of Virgo and Pisces. The Virgo energy wants to help us become more organized and grounded like I said, but the Pisces energy makes us want to dream and lounge about. I personally have been feeling this tug of war the last few days. I've been making tons of to do lists as I've wanted to become more organized (Virgo energy), but I've had trouble pushing myself to complete everything on my to do list because I have literally wanted to lounge about and read poetry instead! ( Pisces energy). Perhaps some of you understand this current opposing energy.

Overall this Full Moon should help us release feelings of inadequacy, help us to follow our hearts, transform our thoughts, to become more organized and also may help us to remember to dream and soak up the beauty that is life. This Full Moon will affect those who have Virgo in their charts the strongest, so look for where you have Virgo in your Natal Chart to see where this Full Moon will affect you. I wish you all the best and to remember that you are all already perfect and to stop beating yourself up if that is something you've been doing. Don't dim your light by thinking you're not good enough, own your light and shine it out to the world! You deserve it and the world needs your light as it is.

Full Moon in Leo: A Little Bit of Luck is Coming Your Way

Tomorrow, February 3rd 2015 at 3:09 PM (PST), there will be a Full Moon in Leo. Full Moons are always a bit intense and emotional, but this one should be quite lucky as well.

With the Full Moon in Leo people might seem to be more egotistical than normal. This is an important time though, to let go of any selfishness that you may have in order to see the bigger picture and get along with everybody. The Full Moon is always composed of the Moon opposing the Sun. The Moon is of course in Leo, which is the sign that wants to stand out from the crowd. The Sun however is in Aquarius, which wants us to get along with everybody and do what is best for the greater good. Some people might need to let go of selfishness during this Full Moon, but others may need to step into the spotlight and allow themselves to shine, it all depends on what your personal issues are.

Leo is a very creative sign and Full Moon's are the time each month that it is important to release. Putting these two things together could result in releasing any feelings you might have through creativity.

There are two big aspects to the Full Moon. The first is a conjunction with Jupiter. This is really lucky! Look out for a bit of luck coming your way. This is a particularly good aspect if you have been deserving of some recognition for something you have done, because under this influence, you just might get it! The second aspect is a trine between  Uranus and both the Moon and the Sun. Uranus always throws unexpected surprises our way. Sometimes the 'surprises' are things that aren't quite so wonderful. Jupiter's involvement in the Full Moon though, shows that any surprises we might get  could be really lucky and wonderful ones!

Overall this Full Moon looks pretty great in comparison to other more intense Full Moons. Jupiter and Uranus's involvement indicate lucky surprises, so look out for that and enjoy this unexpected lucky Full Moon!

Mercury Retrograde: Time to Slow Down and Smell the Flowers

Today, January 21st 2015, Mercury has stationed retrograde in Aquarius. It will be retrograde until February 11th. Mercury retrogrades always get a bad rap, but they are really just an opportunity to slow down and reflect.

Like the girl in the picture above, we need to take time to smell the flowers during this retrograde. Mercury retrograde has become frustrating in contemporary times because it is so incompatible with our fast paced, technology filled lives. If we allow ourselves to slow down a bit and to take in life during this retrograde things may not seem so frustrating. When it comes to communications and technology, the key is patience. In the old days when people communicated by letter and what not, I bet they weren't sitting around waiting for their letters with impatience and frustration as we sit around these days waiting for a response to a text or email we had only sent an hour before. If we have patience and are flexible, this retrograde won't affect us in such a bad way. Aquarius rules technology, so this retrograde may affect technology more than usual, so that's why patience is so important for this particular retrograde.

Mercury retrogrades are such great times to turn inward and reflect. This retrograde in particular may give us some great new and innovative ideas since it is in Aquarius. This could be a creative time. It's just not a good time to start anything though, so wait to put your big ideas into action until the retrograde is over.

Aquarius has to do with friendship and community, so during this retrograde we may want to re-connect with old friends or any community or groups you are part of. The emphasis though is on old friends or friends you already have as Mercury retrograde is not usually a good time to join a new group or make new friends.

The first day of the retrograde Mercury is conjunct the Moon, so the retrograde may start off in an emotional way. The night before some of you may have had insomnia because there was a New Moon and then right after that the Moon linked up with Mercury. Your minds may have been buzzing with excitement or ideas and you may have found it hard to go to sleep. Mercury will also be opposing Jupiter for awhile, which may be frustrating because Jupiter may be urging us to grow and expand and try new things, but Mercury wants us to slow down.

Overall this Mercury Retrograde shouldn't be too intense. Just remember to slow down, drink in life and reflect. Patience is a big key to this retrograde as well, so don't lose your cool. Patience is always a virtue during a Mercury retrograde.

New Moon in Aquarius: Innovative Ideas , Friendship and Community

On January 20th 2015 at 5:14 AM (PST) there will be a New Moon in Aquarius. There isn't a lot going on with the New Moon as there are no aspects it is involved in. However, it is a Super Moon, which means that the Moon will be closer to the earth, so this New Moon may affect us more than it might otherwise.

Aquarius is an air sign, which means Aquarius is related to the mental realm. Aquarius is particularly known for innovative ideas and thinking outside the box. This means that this New Moon may give many of us some great new ideas. If any of you have been stuck in a creative rut or been looking for a solution to a problem, this New Moon may be just what you need.

Aquarius is a friendly sign, it encourages us to make new friends and to become part of a community.  This New Moon may bring some new friends or connections to some of your lives. If you want to feel a sense of community, but don't belong to one, perhaps an opportunity to join one will arise in your life. Perhaps some of you will be pushed to join a social media site or to become more involved on a social media platform you are already on. Social media combines technology, networking, and a sense of community. All of these things are related to Aquarius, so social media could be something that you feel more drawn to during this New Moon.

Overall this shouldn't be a very intense New Moon, even if you feel some of the effects more strongly because it is a Super Moon. Aquarius is not a particularly emotional sign, so whatever happens with this New Moon, it shouldn't be too emotional. To see how it will personally affect you, looking for any Aquarius in your Natal Chart would be a good place to start.

Saturn in Sagittarius: Re-structuring Our Beliefs

On December 23rd 2014, Saturn entered the sign of Sagittarius where it will stay for about two and a half years. This should be an easier Saturn transit than when it was in Scorpio since Sagittarius is a fairly optimistic sign.

Our beliefs are going to be in the spotlight with Saturn in Sagittarius. Our beliefs could get challenged or we may be pushed to give some structure to our beliefs. We might have to decide what it is we truly believe and sort through our beliefs and decide whether they are good beliefs to have. A bad side of beliefs being brought into the spotlight is that some people may start to take what they believe too seriously and think that everyone should believe what they believe. Basically people could start to get a bit self righteous.

Saturn usually brings some change to things that aren't working anymore. Saturn likes to re-structure things and it's not always easy when this tough planet gets involved. Things could undergo a change on a global scale and on a personal level. One area that may get re-structured is higher education. Higher education in some places is ridiculously expensive and many students end up in debt. Also the idea that every single person needs to go to college or they will end up working in McDonald's is a silly and outdated notion, but one that some people still believe. These are just a few issues that could possibly be questioned during this time when it comes to higher education. Another area that may get re-structured is foreign affairs. This is probably an issue that may get re-examined on more of a global scale than on a personal one. Perhaps countries will re-structure their foreign policies or something like that. Religion is another area that may need some re-structuring. Since challenging our beliefs is a theme of this Saturn transit, we may start questioning our spiritual and religious beliefs in particular. Religion is not quite as big as it used to be, so obviously there are some changes coming to that arena already which may be highlighted during this transit. Travel is another area of life that could get re-structured. Perhaps some rules about traveling may change, particularly with security. On a personal level people may decide that they need to travel more or something like that. The last thing that could undergo a re-structuring is how we relate to different cultures and people of different backgrounds. Sagittarius is a sign that is very interested in other cultures and wants to celebrate diversity. There has been a lot of problems going on recently with racism and what not. This is obviously a terrible thing and definitely something that needs to be changed. Sagittarius wants to celebrate every ones differences and urges us to think what a beautiful diverse world we live in. For some reason though, some people think that anyone different than them is not as important. This is awful and I think that Saturn in Sagittarius will crack the whip and try to change this.

When Saturn was in Scorpio people with their Sun in Scorpio took it the hardest. Now with Saturn in Sagittarius people with their Sun in Sagittarius will be hit the hardest. Sagittarius people might be forced to re-structure quite a bit in their lives. I do want to mention though, that in the middle of June till the middle of September , Saturn will retrograde back into Scorpio. This may mean that during this time some issues may be brought back into the light for some Scorpios and they may have to reflect on whether they made the changes they were supposed to in their lives.

Saturn may be the toughest planet, but it re-structures things and brings order for the betterment of all our lives. It may be difficult, but I think that the areas of life that will be examined probably need a change and that this will hopefully help out the world quite a bit.

Full Moon in Cancer: The First Crazy Full Moon of 2015

© fineartamerica.com

Happy New Year everyone! The New Year is starting out rather intensely astrologically speaking,  with a Full Moon on January 4th 2015 at 8:53 PM (PST). The Full Moon will be in Cancer and it is chock full of aspects with other planets.

The Full Moon in Cancer is rather an emotional Moon placement as Cancer is the sign that rules the Moon. If emotions come up during this time, try to release and work through them. With the Moon in Cancer and the Sun in Capricorn, it is important to release things that make you feel comfortable, but that aren't serving your higher purpose or helping you realize your dreams and ambitions.

Pluto is conjunct the Sun and opposing the Moon during the Full Moon. This adds a bit of harshness to this astrological event. Pluto's appearance at this Full Moon signifies that change is indeed coming, whether we like it or not. We will possibly be forced to welcome change and transformation into our lives.

Chiron plays a part in this Full Moon by a trine to the Moon. This means that we will have to release any wounds we might have during this time. The goal with this Full Moon is basically to release everything that is preventing us from being successful in our lives. Emotional and psychological wounds are of course things that hold people back from living to their fullest potential, so it's very important to let these go.

The Nodes play a part in this Full Moon by forming a Grand Cross with both the Sun and the Moon. This means that some karmic issues may come up. The North Node has played a big part in the cosmos recently and I'm sure many of you have felt it. It has pushed us to compromise in relationships, which may have been a bit frustrating. Once again during this Full Moon we have to release anything we have stubbornly held onto that is preventing us from compromising.

Overall this is going to be an intense Full Moon. A lot of feelings are probably going to come up for a lot of people. The key is to be patient, to understand that you are feeling this way because of this cosmic event, and to release the things you are feeling. The big things that need to be released during this time are wounds, karmic issues, resistance to change, unwillingness to compromise and anything that makes you feel comfortable that isn't actually healthy for you. I wish you all the best and I hope your New Year will be filled with success and that all your dreams for the year will come true.
