Uranus Retrograde in Aries: Contemplating and Processing Change

Today, July 21st 2014, Uranus turned retrograde in Aries where it will stay until the end of December.   Uranus retrograde makes us turn within so that we can process what we need to change, so that when the retrograde is over we can actualize the changes we have decided we need. 

Uranus has to do with freedom sometimes,  so when it's retrograde it is important to dig deep and deal with any issues pertaining to breaking free. If it is time to break free from something than now is the time to examine your life and decide to make that change. If you are constantly seeking freedom to the point where you can't commit to anything, then it is time to examine those impulses as well. Uranus retrograde also can give people bursts of inventive, spontaneous energy which can be exciting and fun when it happens. Your head could be swimming with creative ideas at times during this retrograde. 

Uranus is retrograde in Aries which pushes us towards contemplating new changes and ventures in our lives. Uranus in Aries has a pioneering spirit and is constantly seeking new and exciting things. Uranus retrograde in Aries also makes us ask ourselves whether we are allowing our uniqueness and independence to shine through. If we are not doing so, we will have to figure out why that is so during this time, and then,  when the retrograde is over we can shine and prosper in our  own unique glory. 

Uranus retrograde is currently loosely square Pluto and Mercury. Things may be intense for a few days while this is happening. Uranus's square with Pluto will be ongoing though and will play a big part in Uranus's retrograde. Pluto is retrograde as well right now, so there will be some 'inner' work that will need to be done. Pluto brings up psychological issues surrounding change, power and independence.  Pluto and Uranus working together make the energy of change even stronger and there will probably be a lot of 'inner' changes going on with everybody. Issues around wanting to break free from authority and to assert your own independence may come up. In fact this may bring some global issues of the masses wanting to break free from authority in some way. 

~Change will be occurring on all levels during this retrograde. Just remember though, Uranus is an outer planet so the retrograde will not be felt too strongly except during the times where it makes aspects to other planets and when it personally affects someones natal chart ~
