Full Moon in Virgo: Time to Let Go of Perfectionism and the Little Details While Stepping into Alignment With Our Spiritual Sides

On Thursday (March 1st 2018 4:51 PM PST) we will be having a Full Moon in Virgo! This is a highly emotional time we've been going through,  where we can really get into our spiritual side with 5 planetary bodies in Pisces. At this Full Moon we are asked to release some habits and behaviors that don't serve us, so that we can heal and be more at peace. 

We have so much Piscean energy around right now, but at this Full Moon we are being asked to turn to Pisces' opposite ( Virgo) to look at some habits and energies to be released and some ways to balance the Pisces and Virgo polarity. 

1. We need to release criticism and perfectionism. 

We need to stop being so hard on ourselves at this time. Stop judging yourself so harshly and obsessing over not being 'perfect enough'. We can use the Piscean energy to heal these issues. On the level of spirit we are perfect. Think of yourself as a newborn baby. Would you criticize a new born? Deep inside there is nothing wrong with you, so start getting in touch with spiritual perfection and accept that the material world has it's flaws without getting too obsessed with them. 

2. It's time to release getting caught up in all the small details

Time to zoom out on your life! Don't worry about all the little things. It's time to get a grip on the big picture. Go with and trust the flow. 

3. Release routines that aren't serving you. 

Perhaps create new ones! Evaluate which routines in your life replenish your spirit. Perhaps you need to make some space to meditate or be out in nature on a regular basis. Going to bed earlier or eating healthier and changing your routines in that sort of way is helpful now as well. 

4. Time to heal. 

The Pisces and Virgo axis can deal with healing in different ways. Pisces is about spiritual healing and Virgo is about the health of the physical body. Full Moons are a time of release, so it's a good time to release anything that is holding you back from healing and being healthy. It's time to heal on an emotional and spiritual level as well as on a physical level. 

5. Balance spirit and matter.

When dealing with the Pisces Virgo axis we need to balance spirit and matter. Balance our spiritual life with grounding in the physical if we feel like we're lost in space or bringing spirituality into our everyday lives if we've been more focused on the material world. Whatever you learn and want on a spiritual level you should bring into your day-day life as well. Manifest in the physical what you've been wanting on a soul level. 

There are some aspects going on at the time of the Full Moon that I want to talk about as well. 

One is that the Sun will be nearing a conjunction with Neptune. This gives extra strength to the emphasis on Pisces right now because Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces. Becoming in touch with the spiritual side of things is so important at this time. Allow yourself to see the bigger picture in life as well as connecting with the universe. Feel your feelings at this time with the emotional Pisces energy and let yourself feel compassion. Get in touch with your intuition and go with the flow. 

Venus will also be involved in some positive aspects at the time of the Full Moon. Mercury is moving into a conjunction with it (they're both in Pisces) and Venus will be exactly trine Jupiter in Scorpio. Love and relationships could be highlighted! Also, what we love and what brings us pleasure in general. 

The Mercury and Venus conjunction allows us to communicate our feelings to those we love/are involved with. Also, it can help us really speak from our hearts and higher selves in general. 

Venus trine Jupiter on the other hand is quite an exciting and big aspect! It's a lucky aspect as well because these two planets are the benefics in Astrology. This aspect brings lots of expansion! It's time to expand on the things we deeply desire. Expanding what we love and going after what we have been wanting on a soul level. This is great for opening and expanding our hearts as well. For relationships this is expansive and great. Wonderful time to grow further within a relationship. Or perhaps to get lucky if you are not in a relationship, but would like to be! Venus makes a sextile to Pluto a couple days before the Full Moon, which shows lots of transformation as well. Lots of positive change and growth around relationships and the things we love! 

💫Overall this is a wonderful, watery, emotional and spiritual time. We are getting more in tune with our spirits, and letting go of nit picky things that aren't serving us. We are also growing and transforming in terms of all the things we love. 💫

New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius: It's Time to Share Your Authentic Self With Others

Get ready because on Thursday (February 15th 2018 at 1:05 PM PST) we are having a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aquarius! We are starting a new cycle that will last until July. 

With the Lunar Eclipse two weeks ago we were wrapping up a cycle that lasted for almost six months. That cycle was centered around the North Node in Leo. It was all about stepping into our authenticity and true selves. Shining our light and following our hearts. 

Now it's about integrating what we learned with the Leo energy into the Aquarius energy. It's important that we do not forget everything we learned during the last eclipse cycle centered around the North Node in Leo. Now it's about sharing our authentic selves with others. Tapping into our inner light so that we can help others. We need to bring our real, true, authentic, powerful selves into all our relations with other people. We need to keep following our hearts, but now balance it with our heads as well. 

It's important not to get sucked into the side of Aquarius that wouldn't serve us, however. You could call it 'the shadow side'. Don't just follow the crowd or do things that every else wants you to do. Bring your authentic self into all your interactions. It's time for you to share the real you with others. You can give back and share your light with the world when you are authentic. Blending in and fitting in really doesn't help anyone. Aquarius's modern day ruler is Uranus, which is all about breaking out of the box and being different. So tap into the part of Aquarius that is zany and different and embrace that part of you that is unique. It's also important to not get too detached. Remember to be fully present and to follow your heart. Don't become too in your head. Balance the two. 

Mercury will be conjunct the Eclipse and making a sextile to Uranus. This is powerful because Uranus rules Aquarius like I just mentioned. Mental energy is high with the Mercury conjunction. Lots of ideas and out of the box thinking. Unexpected messages or news could accompany the Eclipse. Uranus brings the element of change. Change is in the air, we are starting a new cycle, so embrace it! This is a time of new beginnings. New beginnings built on things we learned about ourselves in the last six months. 

Venus wil also be making a sextile to Saturn at the time of the eclipse. This is good for starting to build the life we want and to commit to it. Venus in Pisces is an emotional energy that can help us follow our feelings and take them into account. If anyone is focused on relationships around the Eclipse it's a good time to commit and get serious. This can even just mean committing and getting serious about your dreams. 

One last thing to mention is that all the planets that have moved through Aquarius lately have squared Jupiter. This is a reminder about remembering to follow our deep desires and our feelings. Aquarius is a detached mental sign, but we are being encouraged to not forget about our hearts and feelings during this new cycle that's beginning. 

~Overall this is an exciting time of new beginnings! We spent the past six months stepping more into our authentic power and into our heart space. Now we get to share that with the world and connect with others! If you are familiar with your birth chart, whatever house has Aquarius in it/on the cusp is the area of life that will be a focus until July. Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo: No One is You and That is Your Power

Tomorrow (January 31st 2018 at 5:27 AM PST) we are having a Full Moon total Lunar Eclipse in Leo! It's a Super Moon as well, just amping up the intensity. We are wrapping up a cycle at this time that started at the end of August with the Solar Eclipse in Leo that we had. On the 15th of February we will have a Solar Eclipse in Aquarius and that will start a new cycle. With this Lunar Eclipse, it's a time of culmination and release. 

Eclipse's take place near the Nodes of the Moon, so the themes of Eclipses are the the themes of the Nodes. This is important because the Nodes signify energies, which we all need to figure out and step into.  When we had the Solar Eclipse in Leo at the end of August, the Sun and Moon were aligned with the North Node. At that time we started a cycle of stepping into our authenticity, stepping into our light/shining our light, recognizing our gifts, and getting in touch with and following our hearts. 

We are now at the culmination point of that cycle that started at the end of August. We are at the end point. It's a wonderful time to review what transpired since August. How did you personally step into your light and authenticity? How did you follow your heart? If you feel like you didn't really step into your authenticity or get in touch with your heart, this is a very crucial time to examine that and try to release whatever blocks you have that are holding you back from doing that. Even if you did step into that energy, it's important to see at this time if there is any little thing that is still holding you back from entering into your light and heart more fully. It's time to let go of whatever is standing in the way of that. 

With the Lunar Eclipse, we have both the Leo and Aquarius energy in play now. It's time to find balance between these two energies and to start to get in touch with the polarity of Leo: Aquarius. When we have the Solar Eclipse on February 15th we'll step more into the Aquarius energy, but right now it's time to find balance. Right now it's important for us to balance our heads and our hearts. It's important to remember that once we step into our authentic selves, it's important that we share that with others and with the world. Remember that when we step into our light we can make a difference; we can help others. If we lived on a planet where everyone was completely authentic and shined their inner light, wouldn't the world be a better place? 

Aquarius does have to do with the unconventional, so the Leo and Aquarius energies can work nicely together in that respect. We can step into our weirdness, the side of ourselves that is different and doesn't fit in any boxes. Our authentic, weird and unique selves. 

The planet that is the closest to the Eclipse is Venus. It's in Aquarius conjunct the South Node. This means there's a reminder about love and relationships as well. Perhaps you've been so into shining your own light and getting into who you are lately. Aquarius reminds you to not forget about others though, and Venus reminds you to not forget about love. It's a good time to bring your authentic self into a relationship and see the beauty and balance that comes from doing that. 

As we reach this point of culmination and before the Solar Eclipse coming up starts a new Aquarius centered cycle, it's important to remember everything Leo has taught you and to not get too caught up in Aquarius's downfalls. Remember to not get stuck in your head. Don't forget about the heart centered beauty of Leo. Aquarius rules groups and community,  so with that in mind don't try to blend in or do what everyone else thinks you should do. Your authentic self is what will ultimately benefit everyone anyway. Your light and authentic truth are needed at this time! 

💫Overall, Lunar Eclipses are periods of change and a culmination of a cycle. Not only that, but this Full Moon is also a Super Moon meaning the Moon is closer to the earth. This means that the energy is enhanced and intense! This can be a time of heightened emotion as well, so hang in there. I know there's a lot of hype out there about this being a Blue Moon as well, so I thought I would mention and explain that. It means that there are two Full Moons in a month. It doesn't mean anything astrologically because the Moon cycle hasn't changed and practically speaking, there can't ever be an extra Moon phase. New Moon in Capricorn: Building the Lives We Desire

Tomorrow (January 16th 2018 at 6:17 PM PST) we are having a New Moon in Capricorn. Everything in the cosmos has been intense recently and this New Moon is no exception. This is actually quite a big moment for us all. 

New Moons are a time to plant seeds. A time we can start fresh and decide/work on what we would like to manifest in our lives. All the Capricorn energy lately has been urging us to get down to business to create the lives we want. It's about building new structures, it's about being practical and working hard. Manifesting what we want in our physical realities. This New Moon is just another stepping stone and push to do this. Plus the Capricorn energy is at an all time high right now with six planets in Capricorn! 

💫I want to talk about the planets besides the Sun and the Moon (which together form the New Moon) that are in Capricorn right now and how they are contributing to all that's going on. 💫

Mercury 

We finally have Mercury in Capricorn. It was kind of a straggler since it went retrograde last month. We may not have been completely sure about the direction our lives were going in and maybe we were missing some information. Now that it has joined the Capricorn party we are able to make decisions. We are able to use our practical minds to help build the future we want. 

Venus 💟

Venus has been part of the Capricorn party for a little while now and is nearing the end of it's transit there.  It's the closest Capricorn planet to the New Moon. It's been pretty highlighted lately and this is no exception. This is helping us build lives that include what we love. It also just places a big focus on relationships. For some people building the relationship you want is important at this time. Commitment and taking relationships seriously is in the air. 

Saturn

Saturn recently started it's 2 1/2 year cycle through Capricorn. Saturn rules Capricorn, so it's really powerful there. It's the ruler of all this Capricorn energy right now. It's quite a big player in the cosmos at the moment. It's really helping us get practical and serious about our lives. Saturn is an authority figure, a taskmaster and father time all in one. I think this placement can be powerful and helpful, but if you aren't taking your life seriously and don't realize the precious nature of time, life could be harder for you. 

Pluto 

Pluto has been in Capricorn for a few years and has a few more years to go. It really adds a big transformative energy to all this Capricorn. It's making a huge exciting aspect that I'm stoked about right now. Jupiter in Scorpio is making a sextile to it. This is a rare and exciting aspect. So much growth and transformation at this time! I mean, it's major! Also, Pluto is ruling Jupiter right now because Jupiter is in the sign that Pluto rules, making this even more intense! The Scorpio energy is contributing in general to all this Capricorn energy. Besides that big Jupiter aspect, Mars is in a sextile with the New Moon. This gives us the drive to build the lives that we want. The Scorpio energy is making us dig deep and to make sure that we are building lives that are rich and satisfying on a soul level. Only what we really want and desire will do at this time. 

Uranus square the Sun and Venus ⛇

Over the weekend Uranus in Aries squared both Venus and the Sun. The energy is still in play a little, but mostly happened right before the New Moon. Uranus brought some unexpected twists perhaps and threw some curveballs our way, but hopefully even if they were rough we've been able to assimilate them alright and we can move forward accordingly now. 

Chiron Sextile the New Moon 

The last aspect/planet I want to talk about is Chiron in Pisces, which is making a sextile to the New Moon. This brings healing energy to this time. We are healing certain things in our lives, so that we can move forward and build the lives we are meant to have. 

☆ Overall this is an intense time! A wonderful time to start building the lives we want however. Yes the energy has more of a serious tone then a light hearted one, but not in a bad way. The universe is pushing us forwards and personally I think it's rather exciting. ☆

Starting 2018 with a Full Moon in Cancer

On New Year's day 2018 we are having a Full Moon in Cancer. What a way to start the New Year! 

Full Moons are typically a time of culmination with a period of release following it. 

Let's delve into the themes and aspects of this Full Moon to see what is culminating and what needs releasing. 

With this Full Moon we're dealing with the Cancer-Capricorn axis. This is an axis that deals with security. Cancer with emotional security; wanting to feel safe and nurtured. Capricorn is about security more on a physical/material plane. 

It's time to release some needs for security that aren't serving us anymore. There's a huge emphasis on Capricorn energy right now with four planets being in Capricorn including Saturn and Pluto. There's a bigger emphasis on the Capricorn energy than the Cancer energy. It's important to release some emotional, needy security issues because of this. The Cancer side of things seems to need the most releasing, although if you have Capricorn material security issues holding you back,  you should look at that as well. All the heavy Capricorn energy is urging us to build the lives we want though. It's the time to focus on that and release security issues that are holding us back from manifesting what we want in our lives.  

With this Full Moon it would ideally be good to find balance between Cancer and Capricorn needs however. Find balance between what your emotions want and what works best for you in the physical/material world. 

Not only is it important to start building the life we want this month with all the Capricorn energy, it's important to remember that Saturn just entered Capricorn. We're starting a two and half year cycle right now. The things we decide to build will have long lasting results. 

Out of the four planets in Capricorn at the time of the Full Moon, a conjunction between the Sun and Venus is the closest. This means that relationships for some people are a big focus at this time. Trying to build one or manifest the one we want. Venus is Capricorn takes relationships seriously. This really isn't a time to just mess around. There's a desire for much more than that. 

The biggest aspect at this time is an exact trine between the Moon and Neptune. This is Neptune trying to positively help us. Urging us to connect to our spirituality. When the going gets tough connect back to the source. With all the security issues you may be feeling, remember that our greatest sense of security simply comes from the divine or the universe. Trust in the universe at this time. Neptune even at it's best can make things seems a bit foggy, so use it's positive side to trust in the universe and connect spiritually. 

I wanted to mention that the day after the Full Moon Uranus goes direct. This could bring up something unexpected. When that happens though, all planets will be direct. That's kind of a big deal. You usually hear about the personal planets going retrograde, but outer planets go retrograde pretty often and for long periods of time. With all planets direct now, it's full steam ahead. 

Two big aspects that we have to look forward to soon that I also wanted to mention are a conjunction between Mars and Jupiter and a sextile between Jupiter and Pluto. Things will really be moving and expanding to get us to our soul's deepest desires with the Mars and Jupiter conjunction. Jupiter sextile Pluto is a rare and important aspect that will really be pushing us to transform and grow. Lots of change coming! 

The last thing I wanted to talk about may shed some light as to why it seems like there could be a bit of information lacking in our lives. We have all this Capricorn energy urging us to start building the lives we want, but Mercury is a straggler in Sagittarius. It turned direct a little bit ago, but hasn't caught up to where it was when it went retrograde. It's backtracking. It may feel like part of the truth is still missing or like we're still seeking where we should point our arrow to some extent. 

~Overall this can be an intense and emotional time. Yes, this is a Super Moon so the energy is magnified and the Moon is in it's home sign of Cancer. Talk about feeling all the feels! This is quite the way to start the year. It's a time of release and culmination, so that we can really start to build the life we want. Change and transformation are coming, even if we're still a teeny bit unsure where things are going at the moment. It's all coming together in a big way though, and it will really be interesting to see how January plays out. ~
