Full Moon in Sagittarius: Moving Towards a Brighter Future From a More Vulnerable and Raw Place

The energy has been intense this week and now we're just about at the Full Moon, which will be taking place in Sagittarius tomorrow June 17th 2019 in the wee small hours in the morning (1:30 am pst) What seeds did you plant in your life around June 3rd? This Full Moon can be a culmination point and time of harvest for some of those things. It's much more than that though, it's a time of major release as it's the last Full Moon before Eclipse season. Yet, a lot of the energy we've had lately is already bringing up themes of the Eclipses. 

A Full Moon happens when the Moon and Sun are on opposite sides of the earth. The Moon and Sun are therefore in opposing zodiac signs. This Full Moon we are dealing with the Moon in Sagittarius and the Sun in Gemini. This axis has a lot to do with our minds, beliefs and communication/expression. Lately a lot of different emotions, emotional issues, desires and restrictions have been coming up in the astrology. With this Full Moon we need to take a look at certain beliefs and thought patterns that aren't serving us as well so that we can release them. 

With the Sun in Gemini during the Full Moon it is important to see what the ruler of Gemini, which is Mercury, is up to. Mercury is in Cancer at the moment and has been a big player lately. It's latest aspect it's about to make at the time of the Full Moon is a conjunction to Mars in Cancer. There's still a tremendous amount of emotions around during the Full Moon. So many layers of feelings, desires and now even thoughts and beliefs we've had are bubbling up to the surface to be acknowledged, released, felt and expressed. It's a powerful time, but it can be overwhelming There's so many blocks to be lifted, so much to be cleared. Perhaps so much to say. There may be a lot to be communicated and expressed. With Mercury and Mars in Cancer it could come off as quite emotional or even snappy at this time. Feelings and desires want to be expressed. Decisions could even need to be made. The road to expression could really be opening up. Things could be confusing though, which leads me to my next point. 

While emotions are coming up, people are having revelations about themselves, desires are making themselves known and people are expressing more, there still may be things that aren't clear. This is because the Jupiter and Neptune square is continuing and Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius, which is the sign the Moon is in. So much may be making itself known to you and you may be cracking open, but perhaps it's not best to assume you know the truths of situations. Although, it is important to seek the truth at this time and use discernment.

Sagittarius is also a sign that's about the future and Jupiter it's ruling planet is about expansion. You could see this time of release as a doorway opening you up to your future and towards new horizons. As you become more in touch with your feelings, express yourself and release the old you are cracking yourself open. There's an ability to burst through and open up towards life in a new way, towards new experiences and a bright future. There can be an optimistic quality to this energy. Yet, getting to that place, looking at the rest of this energy, isn't easy. You have to be willing to deal with a lot of layers and feelings if you want to burst forth into that bright future. 

This time it's not enough to just be bright and cheerful and to start going on your merry way with a bounce in your step. The bright future exists if you're not afraid to deal with things in your soul that may be uncomfortable first. Otherwise it will not be fulfilling. Peel back these layers. Allow the release. Look at your darkness. Let yourself be vulnerable. Let yourself be raw and then you will be ready for that bright future. You may not be walking towards it with a bounce in your step and a happy tune on your lips. You may be walking towards it with trepidation and a bit of fear as you feel how vulnerable you truly are. The point is that you show up and keep going. Keep your face to the sun anyways. It's time for the new. It's time to feel. To release. To be open. To show up vulnerable. Set aside the armor. Are you ready for the challenge? 

Midnight Astrology Update: Insight Into the Next Couple Days

Hi everyone! The Astrology is getting complex and intense right now, so I wanted to do my best and break down a bit of what is going on tonight, tomorrow and even a bit of Saturday. I thought it might be interesting to attach a picture of the chart for tomorrow. You don’t need to understand it, so don’t be confused by it if you are completely mystified as to what all those symbols mean. I’m just sharing what the charts look like for those that don’t know. What you’re looking at is the 2 D version of what the planets are up to right now. It’s my job to interpret it for you in my role as an Astrologer. Astrologers throughout the ages as they tracked the planets to see how the energy affected humans (we're talking at least a couple of thousand years) have created these charts and symbols as a language and key for what's going on up above. It's the language of Astrology. We have to have something to look at to be able to see what's going on and give the information to the lay person! Anways, just thought I'd be fun to show the chart for the current energies.

Enough of technicalities though, let's get into what it all means! 

✨ First of all Mars in Cancer is still trine Neptune in Pisces tonight. I mentioned that in my post on Facebook and Instagram yesterday if you happened to read it. We are really getting in touch with our feelings and our intuitions. Surrendering to the flow. On so many levels it’s so important for everyone to get in touch with their emotions and desires. A major theme in the universe right now that will really peak with Eclipses in July is to get into the Cancer energy, which is all about feelings. We can’t shove our feelings down or run from them anymore. We must honor the feelings, the vulnerability and the softness. It’s important to nurture ourselves and find healthy emotional security within ourselves. With this Neptune aspect we may have been feeling the flow of emotions and desires a lot since yesterday. It’s important to tune into that at least. It also has been a more go with the flow type day. Dreamy perhaps. Spacey. For some maybe difficult to get stuff done or function in practicalities. This is great to tune into yourself and also great for spiritual practices, meditative practices etc. 

 ✨Things are starting to get a bit tricky though, because Mars is going to oppose Saturn in Capricorn briefly. We are opening up to feelings and our emotional drives and desires more, but where as Neptune can sweep us off into sweet oblivion, Saturn can seem like a frustrating restriction or block. Reality looming over us. We can’t forget about reality, doing what we need to do or taking care of ourselves. Yet, we also don’t want to get so caught up in that though that we shut down our ‘inconvenient’ feelings, that we shut down our desires just cause we see blocks to getting them or that it’s just too difficult. This summer is majorly about balancing these two energies on a personal level. We can’t forget about the practical stuff and those foundations, but the world really needs us all as individuals to get into our heart and our feelings. To not shut down our emotional desires. Tonight and tomorrow talk yourself out of any depressive, restrictive thoughts you get yourself into. If you come up against external restriction don’t let it get you down. Of course other than that watch out for getting into arguments, fights with authority and be safe with this energy as well. Rage or exploding are not the types of feelings we want to get into. Handle your feelings and work through them rather than stuffing them down or just completely loosing your cool. 

✨ On a brief side note the Moon is in Scorpio at the moment and will be tomorrow as well. This just really adds to the emotional energy in the air. This adds some depth and intensity. It’s good that it’s helping us get in touch with those depths of feelings even if it’s scary and also helping bring up those intense desires. It’s time to feel emotionally alive and to feel lit up with passion. Even if it’s messy. Even if it’s scary. Even if there are fears, frustrations or blocks along the way or people or situations that seem Iike they are trying to stop you. Keep going. Push through. Crack yourself open. Work through any difficult emotions that come up.

 ✨Tomorrow Saturn will be sliding back into a sextile with Neptune and Jupiter sliding back into a square with Neptune. The Saturn and Neptune aspect is helpful because if we work with it we can find the balance between reality and the demands of reality and feelings and going with the flow of things. The reality of Saturn can work with the endless dreams and cosmic flow of life and all its possibilities that Neptune shows us. It kind of shows that we can bring our dreams into reality if we find a happy medium and don’t get too sucked into harshness and restriction or too sucked into crazy ungrounded delusions. Neptune and Jupiter squaring is something we’ve already experienced once. It has a lot to do with being careful of what beliefs you buy into especially those that are spiritual or religious in nature. Careful of falling into delusion. Careful about falling into that with anything. Things could be confusing sometimes. At least Saturn is in the middle of the two keeping some grounding. We need to explore feelings and dreams sure, but we can’t get delusional and buy into things that aren’t working. This aspect definitely is affecting the world stage and different societal, governmental and religious structures. It’s impact isn’t going to be just these few days but an ongoing thing throughout the year. I don’t really want to get into that though. We’ll keep it on the personal level for the sake of brevity. Besides, everything truly starts on an individual level anyways. 

✨Ok last aspect to talk about right now is Mercury in Cancer meeting up with that North Node in Cancer and then also opposing Saturn. Then it will be align with Mars. This is just more of those feelings again! Mercury has to do with communication and expression. Even messages. This is happening starting Saturday. There’s more opportunity to express our feelings. Start to open up. Perhaps getting important news. Important messages and communications. Those don’t always have to be emotionally based, but there can be a lot of expression in the right direction. It can be a mixed bag though because then it comes against Saturn. Oh and also trines Neptune! (Guys there really is so much going on it’s hard to talk about it all! I could go on for ages lol) There may be good messages, things coming together, an ability to express your feelings more. There could also be difficult messages for some or more likely some depressive or worrying thoughts. It seems to be a theme that as we get into our feelings more it’s like a stop and go. Neptune just shows this great intuitive quality though. This ability to get swept off into the tide of feelings and all that is. A cosmic rush you could say. In these next days we may feel moments that are a tidal wave of feelings and desires carrying us forward in our lives to the way we want to feel. Moments of surrender. Openness. Compassion and love for ourselves and others. Getting lost in feelings, sights, sounds, music, art, desires, sexuality, life on a cosmic scale. A feeling of being naturally high. Awake to all the feelings and sensations of life. A cracking open of spirit. Yet, there can be moments where we snap out of that and feel restricted or weighed down again. The fear or the depression can creep up. The naysayers. The authority figures. The parent with the wagging finger that can mask itself as different people in our lives or just reside in a murky corner of our souls. It’s just a stop and go process. It’s ok. Go with it. Just don’t let the difficult restricted moments keep you shut up in a box. Maybe life seems easier that way, maybe you can function better, but it’s not worth it. The reality checks can be helpful though because you do need to maintain your physical life, responsibilities and your body. Use the Saturn energy to maintain that, while you open up to the rest of it. It is truly about balance. 

  When Mercury meets up with Mars though, it may seem like blast off. Expression, feelings, desires and drives all come together to propel you forward. All around the time of the Full Moon. Should be a powerful turning point. A doorway of revelations, release of feelings shutting a door on old ways of being and believing. More on that in a different post though. Can only talk about so much at once! Just felt like I should check in and ramble a bit about current energies because it’s a major time and it can be intense. I usually would have made a shorter instagram and facebook post, but it would have been too long, so I thought I'd put it on the blog. New Moon in Gemini: New Connections, Ideas, Thought Patterns and Messages

Get ready to hit the refresh button with a New Moon in Gemini tomorrow! (June 3rd 2019). New Moon's are a time to plant seeds and manifest new things. They set the tone for the month ahead. 

With the New Moon in Gemini it's a time of new connections, new ideas and new thought patterns. It's a very buzzy energy that can have us flitting from here to there. It can be an exciting vibe. It's a great time to connect to people and to converse. Gemini is an air sign and is a very mental energy, so we may be full of ideas, wanting to mentally connect to others and explore different things. It's also an interesting time to take stock of your thought and communication patterns. If you've realized any patterns in these areas that aren't serving you, it's a great time to set an intention to rewrite these patterns. To rewrite some mental programs you might have that are perhaps more negative that may be keeping you in a state of worry or fear for instance. It's a great time to rewire communication habits too. For instance, if you have trouble being more open and expressing yourself you could set an intention to try to overcome that. Perhaps you struggle communicating with a certain person in your life. Maybe you have some communication blocks or problems. Now is a great time to try to overcome that and change some patterns. 

This could also be a time of insight and important messages and communications. Gemini is ruled by Mercury and Mercury happens to also be in Gemini at the time of the New Moon. Mercury is the messenger planet, so this is why we may be receiving different messages. Now, while there is no exact aspect, a square with Neptune and an opposition with Jupiter is looming in the background. We may be getting insights and communications, but some things may still be confusing. It's great our minds are so abuzz during this time, but it's important to trust our intuition at the end of the day.  You might have various facts thrown at you, but it's important to feel out situations and trust your gut. It's also important to have some trust and faith. To not let the monkey mind get the best of you. Last, but not least, keep the bigger picture in mind as you explore all the ideas and messages coming your way. Don't get lost in the details. 

At the time of the New Moon, Venus is coming off a trine to Pluto as well. Venus has been making nice aspects lately. This bodes well for our relationships and projects, which ties in really nicely with this Gemini New Moon energy. It really is a great time for new connections, new projects and new creations. 

Full Moon in Scorpio : Cultivating Our New Foundations and Releasing the Old

On Saturday May 18th 2019 (at 2:11 PM PST) we will have a Full Moon in Scorpio. We are out of the last two Moon cycles which dealt heavily with relationships and heralded many turning points. Now with what we've learned from those phases it's time for some major release. Since the New Moon in Taurus you may have been planting new seeds and watching them grow, but with the beginning of certain things we must shed some old things. 

This Full Moon is taking place on the Scorpio/Taurus axis. Taurus is about building new foundations and is a stable, yet fertile sign. Scorpio is about transformation and ending the old. Pluto is the planet that rules Scorpio and it's been a big player in the astrology lately. We've really been confronting things coming up from the depths of our own being and really being shown what needs to end, be transformed or released. Now is the time! 

Mercury is traveling close to the Sun during the Full Moon. I feel like it's bringing us information and insight we need during this time of culmination and release. Since it's traveling near the Sun in Taurus I feel like we may be getting insight around the new things we've been creating. Seeing in a practical way how to keep growing seeds we've planted. 

Venus and Uranus will basically be conjunct in Taurus around the Full Moon as well. Change is definitely in the air. There could be an element of the unexpected. Particularly around relationships. There's been tremendous changes and shifts around relationships and this time is no different. Whatever happens could be unexpected, but provide necessary shakeups. 

Neptune in Pisces is trine the North Node in Cancer during the Full Moon. This means we need to trust the universe, the flow and most of all our feelings. Our feelings and emotions need to be our guides for what to release and what to fertilize. This can be a very emotional time. Not just with this watery aspect, but because a Full Moon in Scorpio in general can be a time of a lot of emotional release. Purging feelings from the depths. Also, Mars just moved into the water sign of Cancer. We may be very emotionally driven at this time. The feelings are running high. 

~This may be feeling like an intense time! It's bringing lots of great opportunities for transformation and change however. Life is about cycles. There are times to cultivate the new and then times to release that which isn't serving. You could think of our lives as gardens, which we are in the midst of planting and tending to. While we tend our gardens there are inevitably weeds we must pull. That basically describes the current energy we are going through~ 

New Moon in Taurus 🌱

Since March 20th we've been dealing with some interesting lunar cycles what with two Full Moons in Libra. Relationships and our own independence and identity have been front and center. People were dealing with so many different scenarios and turning points. Now that phase has come to an end and we have reached a point where we can start fresh with this New Moon in Taurus on May 4th ( at 3:45 PM PST). 

New Moons represent a time where we can plant seeds and really start fresh. The New Moon in Taurus in the northern hemisphere seems to have an extra emphasis on starting fresh since it takes place during the height of spring right after May Day. With the fertile earthy energy of Taurus we can really ground in new energy in our realities. It's prime time to manifest what we'd like in our physical lives. 

During the last month or so we may have ended some phases that weren't right for us, had some realizations about what we'd like in relationships (both romantic and otherwise) and made significant discoveries about our personal journeys and identities. Perhaps we feel clearer about what we want or perhaps some things are still being revealed. Regardless, now we can start fresh in a way. 

This energy could impact any area of your life depending on your personal chart. Since Taurus is a physical sign however this is of course a good time for tangible new beginnings related to work, finances etc. Taurus has to do with the foundations of your physical world. Since we've been dealing with lots of relationship energy and Taurus is ruled by Venus there can definitely be new beginnings in love. Venus is in Aries right now and with Venus being the first sign in the zodiac, I'd say there is definitely a lot of new, fresh energy in that department. Also, with Venus in Aries our relationship to our own selves and our independence is of the utmost importance. We may have new beginnings in terms of how good we feel within our own identities and self-worth. Also, with any new beginnings in relationships we are going to want ones where our own selves are honored. Where two individuals can share, but never give up their own selves. 

While the New Moon isn't exactly aspecting all the Capricorn energy, it's flowing with it quite nicely. This really shows that we are really able to ground new things into our realties and create new structures at this time. There's been lots of changes and old things falling away, now we get to start building the new. 

~It's so nice to be at this New Moon phase. Spring is in full swing and just like the flowers, we can start to see new things blooming in our lives. It's a fertile and fresh time. ~
